Chapter 2

When I first started going to the fight club, I still had a crude wooden plank bed. Until one night during a brutal session, that bed collapsed. From that day on, the dirty, hard cement floor of my shack became my bed.

In just half a year, I had almost forgotten that a bed could be such a warm and soft place.

All night long, I drifted in and out of dreams, seeming to be asleep yet not quite.

It wasn't until the next day that I fully awoke to the noisy sounds in the house.

I threw off the covers and went downstairs, only to see three tall men standing in the living room.

My breath caught, feeling a dull ache in my chest, almost unable to breathe.

They were my three brothers, and standing beside them was Violet, the true heiress of the Stratton Family Estate who had been found and brought home at the age of eighteen.

Fletcher's impatient voice rang out.

"What are you doing just standing there? Can't you see your brothers are here? Come over here right now!"

The four pairs of eyes instantly fell on me. The little white dog in Violet's arms suddenly leaped out, wagging its tail as it rushed towards me.In a flash, I found myself back in that fight club surrounded by iron cages on all sides, with a drooling beagle lunging at me ferociously.

I pivoted swiftly, dodging its attack in an instant, and countered with a kick to its body.

"Sis! What are you doing?! Bubbles, my Bubbles, are you okay?!"

It wasn't until Violet's shocked cry and the puppy's yelp rang out simultaneously that I snapped back to reality, realizing I wasn't in the fight club at all, but in the living room of the mansion.

Violet was cradling the whimpering puppy in her arms, crying.

"Sis, I knew you were coming back today, so I came with big brother specially to see you. If you really can't stand me, I can leave, but why did you have to hurt Bubbles like that? He's still so little."

The ashen faces of the four men around me made my breath catch. I hurriedly waved my hands, trying to explain.

But at that moment, Second Brother suddenly shoved me to the ground.

"Vivienne! It seems the lesson wasn't enough. Hasn't six months been enough time for you to recognize your mistakes?"

"We brought Violet here today specifically to see you, and this is how you repay us?"

Third Brother chimed in at this point."Vivienne, you're absolutely hopeless!"

I lay on the ground, staring at the four men surrounding me, my fear growing stronger by the second.

I curled up as much as I could, sobbing on the floor and begging them for mercy.

"Please, please, I was wrong, I was wrong, I was really wrong, it's all my fault."

"Don't hit me, please don't hit me anymore, it hurts, it really hurts, I'm begging you, let me go..."

The three brothers were stunned by this scene, only Fletcher walked forward with a grim expression.

"Vivienne! Are you addicted to acting? Wasn't last night's performance in front of the reporters enough?"

"You deliberately arranged for someone to kidnap Violet, deliberately set vicious dogs on her, and I merely had you work as an animal trainer for half a year. What do you have to complain about? You're the one who did something wrong!"

Fletcher grabbed my collar, trying to pull me up from the ground.

The eldest brother, who hadn't spoken until now, finally spoke up.

"Call a psychiatrist, something's wrong with Vivienne."

Hearing the eldest brother's words, the third brother frowned in disapproval."No need, Vivienne just got spoiled by us at the Lu Family Estate over a decade ago. She's got plenty of silly ideas. I think Fletcher's right, she's doing this on purpose, putting on a show for us."

My second brother also gave me a disgusted glance.

"Third brother is right, don't let her fool you, big brother."
