Jungkook stepped out of the towering glass building for break, exhaling sharply as he ran a hand through his tousled hair. The morning air was crisp, carrying the scent of rain that hadn't yet fallen. His mind was a chaotic mess—rage, jealousy, and confusion swirling inside him like an unstoppable storm. His fingers twitched, still aching from the force of the slap he had given Min-Yu.
The commotion had been loud, but Taehyung had shut it down immediately. His sharp, commanding tone still echoed in Jungkook's ears. He had been possessive—protective even—but he hadn't said a word afterward, leaving Jungkook frustrated beyond belief.
As he took a deep breath, his sharp eyes caught sight of Yoongi leaning casually against a sleek black car a few steps away, arms crossed, his ever-observant gaze locked onto him.
"Took you long enough," Yoongi muttered, pushing himself off the car. "Let's go."
Jungkook gave a small nod and followed. They walked in silence, heading toward a quiet café tucked away in a less-crowded street of Seoul. It was nearly empty at this hour, the soft hum of jazz playing in the background as the aroma of fresh coffee filled the space. Jungkook slid into a seat near the window, Yoongi taking the one across from him.
For a long moment, neither spoke. The tension between them was thick—Yoongi's sharp eyes studying Jungkook as if demanding an explanation, and Jungkook staring down at the coffee cup placed in front of him, his fingers tracing the rim absentmindedly.
Yoongi finally broke the silence. "Talk."
Jungkook exhaled through his nose, leaning back against his chair. "You already know he's not normal. You saw what happened last night. His eyes… they turned red. That wasn't just some trick of the light."
Yoongi's jaw tightened, his fingers tapping against the table. "I know. And I'm not stupid, Jungkook. There's something you're hiding. So spill."
Jungkook's lips pressed together before he finally spoke. "Kim Taehyung… he's not just a human. He's my mate. But not just that—he's a reincarnation of someone far greater. He was once Alpha Kim Vante. My Alpha. My lover."
Yoongi's brows furrowed slightly, but he said nothing, allowing Jungkook to continue.
"Five hundred years ago, Taehyung—Kim Vante—was the only one who stood against the trueblood Alpha, the most powerful and feared being among our kind. Taehyung was powerful, ruthless, but he wasn't evil. He wanted to protect his people, his pack… and me. He died saving me, sealing my wolf away to keep me from being taken by the trueblood Alpha."
Jungkook paused, his fingers clenching around the cup. "And now, he's back. But he doesn't remember anything. His wolf is dormant, his instincts buried deep. He's living a human life, completely unaware of what he truly is."
Yoongi's expression darkened. "And you plan to wake him up?"
Jungkook nodded. "I have to. The trueblood Alpha is regaining his strength. He will return soon, and when he does, he will come for Taehyung. If Taehyung doesn't awaken, he won't stand a chance."
Yoongi leaned back, letting out a deep sigh. "And what about you? Why have you waited this long?"
Jungkook scoffed bitterly. "Do you think I haven't tried? But Taehyung is stubborn. He fights against everything, even things he doesn't understand. He doesn't trust easily. If I just tell him the truth, he won't believe me. He has to remember on his own."
Yoongi studied him for a moment before nodding. "So what's the plan?"
Jungkook smirked slightly, but there was no humor in his eyes. "I'll make him fall in love with me all over again. If I can awaken those feelings, the bond, his instincts… his wolf will start to surface. He won't be able to fight against what's meant to be."
Yoongi let out a low whistle. "That's a risky plan. What if it backfires? What if he rejects you?"
Jungkook's expression darkened slightly. "Then I'll make sure that never happens. I've waited five hundred years for him, Yoongi. I won't lose him again."
Silence fell between them, heavy with unspoken thoughts.
After a long pause, Yoongi finally nodded. "Fine. I'll help you. But if this gets messy, I won't sit back and watch. If he's really meant to lead, he better be ready for it."
Jungkook smirked slightly. "Oh, he will be. Once he remembers who he truly is… there will be no stopping him."
Yoongi sighed, shaking his head. "Then let's get to work. We don't have much time."
Jungkook's gaze flickered with determination. Time was against them, but one thing was certain—no matter what it took, he would make Taehyung remember.
Even if it meant breaking him first.
