Chapter 28: Unspoken Desires

The tension in the room was thick enough to suffocate. Jungkook's wrist was still trapped in Taehyung's firm grip, the warmth of his touch sending an unwelcome shiver down his spine. He could hear the muffled whispers outside his office. Everyone had seen them this close.

His employees were already wary of him due to his secretive nature, but now? Seeing him interact so intimately with the mafia king of Seoul? This was bound to stir rumors, ones he didn't need right now.

But Taehyung didn't seem to care. In fact, he was enjoying every second of it.

Jungkook narrowed his eyes. "Taehyung, let go."

Taehyung hummed in amusement, eyes flickering with mischief. "Or what?"

Jungkook leaned in slightly, voice dropping lower. "Or I'll throw you out myself."

Taehyung chuckled, clearly entertained. "I'd love to see you try, baby boy." His fingers trailed along Jungkook's wrist before finally letting go, his smirk never faltering.

Jungkook straightened up, brushing imaginary dust off his sleeves, ignoring the way his pulse was racing. He turned towards his desk, grabbing a stack of files, pretending to focus on them.

Taehyung, however, wasn't done playing.

"So," he drawled, standing up from the chair slowly, his movements deliberate. He walked around the desk, stopping just beside Jungkook, their arms barely brushing. "Are you going to pretend like nothing happened last night?"

Jungkook stiffened. Of course, he was going to bring that up.

He cleared his throat, eyes still glued to the documents in front of him. "It was just a moment of weakness. It won't happen again."

Taehyung scoffed, stepping even closer. "A moment of weakness?" He leaned in, lips hovering just beside Jungkook's ear. "That's cute. Because from what I remember, you were enjoying every second of it."

Jungkook swallowed hard, refusing to look at him. His wolf was restless, clawing at his insides, wanting more.

"Are you done?" he muttered, flipping through a file just to distract himself.

Taehyung grinned. "Not even close."

Jungkook finally turned to face him, irritation clear in his gaze. "Taehyung, I have work to do. Go mess with someone else."

Taehyung tilted his head, studying him. Then, out of nowhere, he reached out and tugged Jungkook's tie.

Jungkook let out a sharp breath as Taehyung pulled him forward just enough for their faces to be inches apart. His deep voice was laced with amusement as he murmured, "Too bad. I only like messing with you."

Jungkook's patience snapped. He forcefully pushed Taehyung back, making the mafia king stumble slightly. "Get out," he growled. "Go do your business and stop wasting my time."

But instead of being annoyed, Taehyung's smirk only widened, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Oh, Jungkookie," he chuckled darkly, straightening his suit. "You really are fun to tease."

With one last lingering glance, he turned on his heel and strode out of the office, leaving behind a stunned room full of employees who had clearly witnessed everything.

Jungkook clenched his fists, breathing heavily. That man was going to drive him insane.
