The meeting continued. After remaining silent for long moments and staring at Vidhan,Maharaj asked everyone to take their seats.
There was formal conversation with everyone for some time, then everyone left the the room except Mahavira.
"Kan kept his word," said the Maharaja.
"Yes, your majesty, he has chosen his successor."
"Leave the formalities, veer. There is no one else here except us." Maharaj said."But Where are the special artifacts of this new Earth Bender?"
"He is probably at a preliminary stage right now and hasn't mastered the Earth bending completely"
"Will he become as powerful as Kan?
"Only the Time will tell."
Maharaj remained silent for some time, then said, Mahavira Kundar is going into trouble.
"What kind of crisis?"
"Kundaar has been trapped in demonic politics." Maharaj Chakradhar said in a sad voice.
"Demon politics!" Mahavira was surprised by this revelation. The discussion between Maharaj and Mahavira continued in the room, while the rest of the people returned to the rest room behind the intelligence department. On the request of Rupak, Kali took Vidhan and Sattu to show them the capital and tell them the history of the respected Kan.
Kali started to show them the markets, palaces, gardens, etc., of the capital and tell them about it.
He said, "Kundar and Arthala are the only states in the entire Jambudweep whose capital and state name are the same. Kundar was settled by 'Budh San' five generations ago. The San dynasty never adopted the policy of expanding the empire. Hence, Kundar still has only that much land on which Budh San had settled Kundar.
Kundar made itself the most prosperous and rich state of Jambudweep by using its available resources wisely. Here, more tax is collected as compared to other states. Due to high tax collection, the people of other states do not want to settle here, due to which Kundar does not have to face the shortage of resources due to population growth. Kundar never backed out from helping other states in emergency situations like drought and epidemic.
Due to the help policy, most of the states are friends of Kundar. Hence, Kundar has very little risk of attack from other states."While walking, Kali took them to a special place. It was a very large open space, in the middle of which a huge rock was placed, on which 'Sahastrabahu Kan' was engraved, and there were many stones scattered around, which were being carved by the craftsmen.
Kali told them that respected Kan has been given the honor of a special warrior; hence, a statue ten times bigger than his stature is being installed here.
"Why is Sahastrabahu written before his name?" asked Vidhan, pointing towards the huge rock. Kali looked at the sky; the clouds had hidden the sun; there was a full possibility of rain. Everyone sat on the stones under a tree at a distance, and Kali said,"The Venerable Kan is considered to be the greatest and most powerful Earth bender ever. Before him, Earth bending was only possessed by the Devas (gods). He was the first person other than the Devas to attain Earth bending and take it to a level that no Deva had ever reached."
Just then the clouds roared and drizzle started. The rain could not reach them as they were under the tree. Kali said further— Respected Kan and Mahavira were both born in the kingdom of Kishkindha. Kishkindha is said to be the land of great wrestlers. Kan was the son of Army General, and Mahavira was the son of a blacksmith. Both were first introduced to each other during their primary education in the School of Acharya Krit. During his education itself, Mahavira had acquired such mastery in wrestling that he is considered an undefeated warrior to this day.
After primary education, both went to Amarkhand for main education. There they were introduced to Prince Chakradhar, and all three became best friends. Then, during his education in Amarkhand, Kan went missing for two years.
"He went missing?" said Sattu.
"Yes! One night he suddenly went somewhere and disappeared, and despite a lot of searching, he could not be found. People thought he was dead. But after two years he was found wandering in the forest in a semi-conscious state. After returning, he told many strange things.
He told everyone that he had gone to a Monk to learn Earth bending.
That Monk was the reason for his disappearance. The night on which he disappeared that Monk met him suddenly in the forest; he put a garland around his neck, a fragrance came out of that garland, due to which he fainted, and when he regained consciousness, he was in the Monk's hut. There he learned Earth bending and after two years he was again made to wear the same garland, and after fainting he regained consciousness in the forest.
No one believed him and considered his stories as a boy's exciting imagination because everyone knew that only Gods can attain Earth bending.
To gain people's trust, he showed people by jumping highly but that jump was a little higher than normal, but not so much that it could be considered Earth bending.
Most people only cared about his safe return so nobody paid attention to his stories believing that he had become mentally ill due to his disappearance.
But Kan was determined to prove that he was correct and his stories were not made up so he continuously practiced his Earth bending.
And finally on the occasion of annual sports competition, he crossed a 30 feet long tree in a single jump and showed everyone that he was a Earth bender. The entire Jambudweep was stunned. No Earth bender had been seen for the last three hundred years. People had only read the description in the scriptures. The Earth bending which was considered to be the heritage of the gods, was attained for the first time by a common man.
Some people also started calling him a Deva. He kept practicing continuously and kept increasing the level of his bending. One day he reached the Dev level.
Dev level is the maximum level up to which a god has reached. According to the description of the scriptures, the fifth level is called Dev-level, which was created by Earth god. After some time, Kan crossed the Dev-level and reached the seventh level. A level which not even gods have achieved.
The entire Jambudweep was stunned again.
