Chapter 19: The Taken Calisthenics and Guang Ling's Seclusion

With the situation finally resolved, Han Li could finally relax. After staying a bit longer at the Worship Hall, Guang Ling ordered the guards to escort the two of them back to train.

As for himself, he wasn't planning to return immediately. Before, it had always been the Grand Worshiper bragging about Xue'er. Now that he finally had his own treasured disciple, and such an outstanding one at that, how could he not take the opportunity to make the other old guys envious?

Already predicting his teacher's intentions, Han Li had returned to his residence with Xiu'er. Now that Xiu'er could officially start cultivating, Han Li handed her the storage necklace that Qing Luan Douluo had given him the previous day.

Of course, it wasn't just a simple storage item. Inside, he had placed a gold card and a high level universal meditation manual specifically for beast martial souls. Though it wasn't as tailored as the custom method Guang Ling had given him, it was still top tier across the continent. As for finding the most suitable method, she would have to figure that out gradually through cultivation.

After briefly guiding Xiu'er through the basics and ensuring there wouldn't be any issues, Han Li finally returned to his own room.

The past two days' experiences flashed through his mind, and he couldn't help but marvel at his own luck. Everything had gone exactly as he wished absorbing a soul ring not only granted him an external soul bone, but all his soul skills had mutated, perfectly aligning with his cultivation path.

Then, seeking Qian Daoliu's help to let Xiu'er cultivate again, he ended up receiving an exceptionally compatible Crystal Bear Heart Soul Bone, which even evolved her martial soul into a Crystal Bear with innate rank eight soul power.

Fate an intangible yet undeniable force was truly terrifying. And this was just the beginning. As he grew stronger, he could hardly imagine what heights he might reach.

After a long moment, Han Li calmed himself and pulled out a manual that Guang Ling had given him earlier. It detailed his future training schedule.

Skimming through it, Han Li quickly realized that he had underestimated how the continent's top forces nurtured talent.

Body training, medicinal baths, dietary supplements, physical massages, cultivation, combat practice, academic studies (including but not limited to continental history and soul beast taxonomy) almost every conceivable aspect was covered.

Not only that, but Guang Ling had even spent his own money and mobilized his follower families to provide Han Li with comprehensive support.

There were soul masters with gravity type soul skills to aid his physical training, instructors for basic combat, as well as medical and food type soul masters. While their ranks weren't exceptionally high, they were more than sufficient until he reached Soul Ancestor level.

Now, with Xiu'er added to the equation, some of these resources were extended to her, though at a much lower priority essentially using Han Li's leftover resources. Still, it was far better than what most students at Spirit Hall Academy could access.

Moreover, right next to his residence, construction had already begun on his personal martial soul mimicry training environment. Some of the materials were even reused from the ones Guang Ling and Qing Luan had previously used, since neither of them needed them anymore. Though the space wasn't massive, it was still exceptionally extravagant.

Silently reading through the thin manual, Han Li made a comparison in his mind. Among his peers, perhaps only Ning Rongrong had cultivation conditions as good as his.

As for Qian Renxue? She might have had an even more luxurious setup, but since arriving here, he hadn't heard a single mention of her. There was no point in considering her situation.

With this in mind, Han Li entered cultivation mode once again. With all these resources at his disposal, progressing too slowly would be unacceptable not just for himself but also for his teacher, Guang Ling.

He trained until noon, only stopping when he heard a knock on his door.

Opening it, he saw that Guang Ling had returned, with Qing Luan Douluo beside him.

After greeting them, Han Li had the maids summon Xiu'er as well. The four of them soon sat together at the dining table.

Guang Ling wasn't one for small talk. After dismissing the surrounding servants, he got straight to the point.

"Han Li, where did you learn the set of exercises you used during your morning training? Can you tell me about it?"

Han Li was momentarily stunned, not expecting Guang Ling to ask about that. However, since it wasn't anything particularly special to him, he casually answered, "It's a family inheritance two full sets, but they don't contain any soul power circulation routes. I just use them for warm ups before cultivation. Why? Teacher, do you need them? I can demonstrate them for you right now."

Guang Ling and Qing Luan exchanged glances, their expressions confirming what they had suspected.

They had noticed that Han Li's warm up movements were structured clearly a complete training system.

Guang Ling pondered for a moment before speaking. "Both your senior uncle and I think this set of movements is quite effective. While it can't be used for offense, its ability to condition and strengthen the body might actually surpass the body training technique I prepared for you. We'd like to modify it and turn it into your primary body training method."

"So that's how it is? No problem at all." Han Li agreed without hesitation, then added, "But teacher, I don't have any manuals, nor can I draw diagrams. I can't guarantee I've remembered everything correctly, as I reconstructed it purely from memory. I'll have to show it to you directly."

Guang Ling and Qing Luan's expressions softened further, even showing a hint of sympathy.

Wait… were they assuming he had memorized it from watching his parents train?

Realizing their misunderstanding, Han Li nearly facepalmed.

Truthfully, he had no idea if these calisthenics had any martial arts origins. He had simply practiced them daily for three years and never thought much about them. Even Xiu'er had assumed it was just a warm up routine.

"As long as you agree, that's all that matters," Guang Ling said with a reassuring pat on his shoulder. "Rest assured, Han Li, after we refine it, it will still be credited as part of your family's inheritance. Qing Luan and I don't have clans of our own, so we want you to pass it down."

"Uh… you can do whatever you want with it," Han Li said nonchalantly. "I only use it as a warm up. If it can be improved into a true body training method, I'd be the one benefiting the most."

"Great, then we'll finalize it after lunch," Guang Ling decided.

During the meal, the atmosphere was lighthearted, with Guang Ling and Qing Luan constantly adding food to the two younger ones' plates. It was a scene of genuine warmth.

After a short break, Han Li demonstrated both sets of calisthenics in the training area. Guang Ling chose the "Little Eagle Takes Flight" set, while Qing Luan memorized the "Era Calls Upon Us" set.

Upon learning their original names, the two Titled Douluo immediately renamed them to "Eagle Soars the Skies" and "Phoenix Dances in the Heavens", respectively. Their reasoning? The original names were too embarrassing.

Han Li didn't argue. It's just calisthenics call them whatever you want.

At the same time, Guang Ling informed Han Li that starting tomorrow, his follower families would arrive to oversee his and Xiu'er's training.

As for Guang Ling himself?

He was about to enter seclusion, aiming to break through to rank 97 while also refining the newly developed body training methods.

During this time, if Han Li encountered any issues, he could seek Qing Luan's guidance next door.

"Once I'm out," Guang Ling added, "I'll see whose method works better mine or Qing Luan's."

Qing Luan simply smiled, radiating the true air of a mentor in contrast to Guang Ling's competitive nature.

Han Li and Xiu'er exchanged glances before showering them both with flattery.

Seeing this, Guang Ling practically beamed as if he had already broken through and won the contest before even entering seclusion.
