The concept of cultivation reaching the fifteenth realm was something that had never crossed Cang Jufeng's mind. He had always believed that cultivation was limited to the ninth realm. As he continued advancing in his cultivation, he learned that there was a tenth realm beyond the ninth. However, now that he had reached the ninth realm, he discovered that cultivation could extend to the fifteenth.
Imperial Liuxi, equally curious, asked, "Are there any great cultivators in the world who have reached the fifteenth realm?"
Shaobo shook his head, "There may be, but such powerful figures are not the concern of mere mortals like us."
"Then who was the most powerful in the Imperial family?" Liuxi asked again.
"It was your great-grandfather, my master," Shaobo recalled. "He reached the terrifying peak of the tenth realm. The information about the fifteenth realm was also passed down by him. He spent his whole life trying to follow the steps of the ancient masters, but he could never find the way."
"Fifteen realms, huh? I will reach it!" Liuxi declared boldly, standing tall in the sunlight.
Shaobo laughed heartily, "I believe you will."
After his grand declaration, Liuxi drew his sword, his gaze resolute. "Let's begin the sword practice."
Shaobo started to teach Liuxi the sword techniques. Cang Jufeng watched closely. Days passed quickly, and he witnessed the rise of the Sword God, Liuxi.
Any sword technique Liuxi learned, he grasped it after one look and seamlessly integrated it after one practice. With a little comprehension, he could unlock the sword's essence.
In just one month, he reached the first realm. Three months later, he entered the second realm. Half a year in, he reached the third realm. A year later, Liuxi was already in the fourth realm—at just six years old.
Cang Jufeng's eyes twitched. This was monstrous talent, a true genius in swordsmanship.
After that, Liuxi's cultivation pace slowed—not because of any lack of talent, but because he began focusing entirely on understanding the Dao. He practiced swordsmanship in the wind, rain, mountains, lakes, and under the heavens, continually deepening his understanding and merging his insights into his sword techniques. By the time he was ten years old, he had reached the sixth realm. But at this level, his sword skills could already rival those of cultivators at the seventh realm.
Cang Jufeng was deeply envious. If he hadn't awakened his extraordinary understanding, after a hundred years of cultivation, he would still be stuck at the first realm.
As time flew by in a blink, Liuxi continued to advance. At eleven, he reached the seventh realm; at twelve, the eighth realm; by fourteen, he was still at the eighth realm. But at fifteen, he spent three years accumulating energy and, under the stars, slashed through the barriers of cultivation, entering the ninth realm.
When Cang Jufeng saw this, he could not help but fall silent. After reaching the ninth realm at over a hundred years of age, how could he not feel ashamed?
Liuxi left Shaobo and embarked on a journey to seek revenge for the Imperial family. His bloodline's deep hatred could not go unavenged.
He returned to the ancestral grounds of the Imperial family and confronted the demon king who had been causing havoc. Without a word, Liuxi unsheathed his sword, and the battle began.
For hundreds of rounds, the clash shook the mountains, causing the heavens to crumble and the world to fall into chaos. The demon king, at the peak of the tenth realm, used his blood magic to fight back fiercely. But in the end, with one strike of his sword, Liuxi slayed the demon king.
Cang Jufeng watched as Liuxi's sword cleaved through the heavens, splitting the world open in a blaze of brilliance, the sword's aura extending for miles. This was the sword that helped Liuxi break through to the tenth realm, all at the age of twenty.
Liuxi had become the true Sword God.
When this segment of time flowed into Cang Jufeng's consciousness, he was deeply shaken.
"To reach the tenth realm at twenty, and to create one's own sword technique… Unbelievable," Cang Jufeng muttered. Had he not witnessed it with his own eyes, he would never have believed someone could possess such genius. No, this wasn't just genius; it was monstrous.
He recalled the scene of Liuxi's sword that slew the immortals. Even now, the shock of it remained vivid.
"That sword contained a swordsmanship essence worth pondering deeply," Cang Jufeng thought, reflecting.
In his mind, the scene of that sword played repeatedly, slowly bringing him clarity. Then, a line of text appeared before his eyes:
"You have comprehended the Sword God's technique, activating your extraordinary wisdom and understanding the Sword to Slay Immortals."
As the memory flooded into Cang Jufeng's consciousness, it was filled with insights: the experiences of Liuxi traversing mountains and rivers, his practice, and his realizations under the stars. Every moment of his training, every bit of his swordsmanship, was now a part of Cang Jufeng's understanding.
He closed his eyes, immersing himself in the comprehension, and felt his vision expand. Everything in the world suddenly appeared in a different light.
When he compared his swordsmanship with Liuxi's, he realized that his own had many flaws. It was immature, like the work of a child compared to an adult's. He immediately set to work correcting these faults, gradually improving his technique.
Meanwhile, outside the Scripture Hall, at the Sword Sea.
With Old Sheep's breakthrough to the ninth realm and subsequent joining of the Feathered Gate, the news spread like wildfire throughout the cultivation world. Many were stunned.
Rumors spread that the Feathered Gate had the method for breaking through to the ninth realm, and many, initially skeptical, now believed. The idea of someone breaking through by slaying the Sword Sea, or Old Sheep's breakthrough, became the talk of the town.
The Feathered Gate had risen to prominence, attracting many new visitors, from those seeking to break through the ninth realm, to young ones wanting to be mentored, and others seeking to test the authenticity of the claims.
The area outside the Feathered Gate had become a bustling hub, with cultivators from the eighth realm attempting to enter the Sword Sea in hopes of breaking through. Yet, not everyone could be like Old Sheep, willing to risk everything for a chance.
And so, those who entered the Sword Sea from the eighth realm were unsurprisingly sent flying out. Yet, unwilling to give up, they continued to try again.
