•HEAVENS ESTATE•
"Finally!.." Harrison breathed..
Nothing could be more relieving than realizing the best and a more reliable option to solve a particular problem.
"You don't have to worry, I'll contact the hotel manager now for the footage.." Harrison said quickly.
"Okay boss. No qualms" his agent responded and in less than a second, the call ended.
"What's the news, you seem quite better than you were before" Gina said as Harrison got off from the bed before settling on his reading table which had a laptop amidst the multiple books.
"We found a way to get the girl's identity.." he responded, operating his laptop with the intention to get the hotel's contact address from the web.
A knock sounded on the room's door immediately.
"Madam Gina, we're done preparing the batter" a female voice informed.
"I have to go now. You really won't eat anything?.." She asked but no reply came from him. He was fully engrossed in his doing..
She sucked in a deep breath before walking out of the room.
In less than four minutes, the contact information was already on Harrison's phone's dial pad, ringing gently.
"Hayvens hotels and wines says Hello!. Ms. Lee on the line, how may we help you?.." a female voice came on immediately.
"Harrison Brooks of the Brooks conglomerates" Harrison replied, sounding so impatient.
"Oh my. Your excellency sir. What do –"
He cut her off immediately.
"I need the footage of the events that happened two days ago at night," he said.
"Two days ago?.."
"You heard me."
"I'm sorry sir but I'm afraid you can't get it. Our CCTV cameras had been faulty since four days ago. Everything got replaced just this morning" Ms. Lee explained.
Harrison's heart immediately sank.
"We regret all inconvenience caused sir" she pleaded.
"Of course you should regret it!" he replied, rubbing his forehead in frustration.
"I'm sorry sir. We could help with any other thing. Do have questions to–"
He interrupted again but this time, it wasn't with his words but by hanging up.
He sucked in a deep breath, sweeping his hair to the back with his fingers.
"Why the hell is finding her so difficult?.." he sighed.
"I'm not like other men. The first woman I'll ever mate with must be the woman I love. "His mind worsened things by haunting him with the promise he made often to himself and others.
"I stupidly broke my most precious vow.." he sighed, closing his eyes.
He stood up almost immediately and picked up his car keys after slipping his legs into a pair of sandals.
"Where are you going?.." Lady Gina asked as they bumped into each other by the stairs.
"A place to clear my head.." he replied simply and walked away.
Gina sighed.

•INNER CHAMBERS•
He walked in after pulling off his flip flops, gluing his gaze to his feet as he moved.
It was him. The same agent that had left his colleagues to give the dayday'ss feedback just has he claimed.
"I'm so vexed right now.." TCK said, gulping down the content of the alcohol bottle in her hands.
The agent had no guts to look her in the eyes except being instructed to, so he simply moved, hoping he wouldn't leave with a broken neck for a silly mistake.
"Your majesty" he bowed, regarding her like she was a royal member.
"Here is the feedback ma'am" He said, stretching forth a brown envelope where he had scribbled words..
She collected it immediately but instead of reading it, she threw it into the fireplace and it began burning immediately.
"I'm listening" TCK said without responding to his greeting just as she usually did.
The agent didn't have to be told, she was demanding that the words in the paper be explained instead.
He sighed silently.
"I remember telling you that he left for am bar without us two days ago.." the agent began.
"Yes?.." TCK said in a questioning tone, turning her back at him to open another bottle of alcohol.
"He actually slept with a lady at the hotel. I guess it was done under the influence of alcohol" the agent reported and at that instant, she turned to him immediately with widened eyes..
"What?!.." she exclaimed in shock.
He nodded gently.
"You.. you.. you can't be serious" she stuttered, still so shocked.
"He doesn't sleep around!" She added.
"Right. Apparently, she's his first woman" The agent replied. His gaze was still fixed on his shoes..
"Damn it!" TCK growled, throwing off the bottle in her hands and it shattered immediately while its content helplessly spilled.
"How dare she!"
"I ought to be his first woman!" she breathed, tightening her fists.
"As it is now, he's on the lookout for her and he's so hell-bent on finding her." The agent said.
"Bloody nonsense!.." TCK muttered, getting more furious.
"According to the words I eavesdropped with his personal man, she goes by the name Iris Norbert." he continued giving the reports and she raised her brows in surprise.
"Iris Norbert?.." she repeated shockingly.
"Yes, Iris Norbert" the agent reported.
TCK's eyes expanded more broadly..
"She's.. she's alive?!"
Without thinking twice, the agent raised his head immediately and their gazes snagged.
"You know her?.." he asked in surprise.
TCK's eyes remained widened.

•ON THE ROAD•
Gilbert drove slowly, looking around for the suitable place to stop and carry out his intentions.
Iris sighed frustratingly for the umpteenth time, getting so bored with the drive.
He had been driving normally for about an hour but suddenly started moving slowly when they got to an empty street where no vehicle was moving except theirs.
Normally, she ought to be scared but her mind kept reassuring.
"He's your dad, you're safe"
She was dressed up in the best clothes she found in her closet and was even wearing lipstick.
"It's an outing. I should dress well.." she had thought while dressing up.
"Dad, don't you think we're moving too slow?.." she finally spoke from the backseat where she was, oblivious of his cruel intentions.
Gilbert gave no response..
"We're there already" he suddenly said about five minutes later, stopping the car.
She raised a brow, scoffing at the same time as she looked around her.
They were right in front of an abandoned building which was even surrounded by lots of bushes.
"Where's this?.." she asked gently, having no idea why her heart suddenly began beating fast.
"I need to show you something.." he said alighting from the car and she breathed.
"No cause for alarm right?.." she thought, watching him walk over to her side.
"Come on baby, get down" Gilbert said, hiding his mischief under a broad smile as he opened the car door for her.
With just a second of hesitation, Iris alighted and his smile grew wider.
"Why do i feel like something is fishy?" she thought as he pulled her in.
She had no memories of her past experiences so she couldn't tell if he had always been good to her or not.
Her face got stuck in a series of cobwebs as she moved into the building with him by her side.
After what seemed like forever, they finally got in and the empty house contradicted Iris expectations.
Just a few minutes ago, she had actually expected to see a designed spot for the treat as a surprise but everywhere was just so empty and dusty.
"We're here" Gilbert breathed, letting her go.
Iris looked around, still searching for the designated spot.. but evidently, there was nowhere decorated for a treat.
"Now, give daddy a head within ten minutes before he does something else" Gilbert said and Iris brows scrunched up on their own.
"A head?.. isn't there one on your neck?" she asked innocently.
Gilbert sighed.
Without warning, he took off his belt and threw it off.
Iris watched, still being clueless but when he pulled down his trousers and short at the same time, the statement he uttered earlier defined itself in her head immediately.
"Just ten minutes.." Gilbert said, walking over to her with his tail dangling as he moved.
"Dad!!" She screamed in disgust.
"Shut up and take my organ into your mouth!" He said, disgusting her more.
"Dad you're not with your senses anymore" she cried as a part of her assumed he was insane.
"Don't waste my time!" Gilbert growled impatiently.
Iris took a few steps backwards in fear.
"I can't do that.. It's not right and.." she stuttered and once again, her gaze landed on the tail between his legs.
She looked away immediately.
"It's disgusting!" she cried.
"Well, I don't care about that. Just satisfy me or I —"
Gilbert wasn't done talking when she ran out of the building unexpectedly.
"No wonder I got suspicious!" she thought as she ran.
"Hey!!!!" he yelled, proceeding to run after her but realizing he hadn't pulled up his trousers yet, he quickly stopped to do so.
This time, Iris was already out of the house, running so fast like her life depended on it.
He wore his belt in a rush, rushing out immediately.
"Stop right there!" he yelled, catching a glimpse of her. She was now quite distant from the house and had no intentions in stopping.
"He's a monster!" she screamed inwardly, running as fast as her legs could carry to a destination she didn't even know.
The road was so empty that she couldn't run to anyone for help and all she kept hoping for was to get to the main road where lots of vehicles are.
Gilbert didn't give up on the chase. He ran fast without even using his car..he was so desperate that driving seemed slower than running, to him.
Heavy breaths..
More tears..
Iris released them all and finally, she found a path that led to the main road which she could see from afar.
Her limbs began aching due to how fast she had been running and to her, one thing was sure, she was going to run out of strength very soon.
Approximately she had been running for twelve minutes.
She closed her eyes, hearing more of Gilbert's yells and threats as she moved, getting weaker as each second passed.
"Save me.." she cried, crossing the main road without realizing since her eyes were still closed.
At that instant, she began hearing people's screams like something bad was about to happen.
Her eyes flew open immediately and it widened broadly on realizing she was right in the middle of the road and was about to be hit by an oncoming vehicle..
"Noo.." she cried, stopping in her tracks with her eyes widening more and more ..
But before the car could hit her, she began falling backwards out of so much shock and the car immediately stopped on its own..
"Shit!" Harrison cussed under his breath, rushing out of the car immediately.
He didn't leave with any of his guards nor the driver so he was the one who drove the car.
He rushed to Iris who now had her butt on the ground and a blurred vision. Without hesitation, he caught her by the shoulder before her head could touch the floor and Iris' tears rolled out from the corner of her eyes..
"Save me.." she said in a whisper before fainting completely..
For a second, Harrison was lost in staring despite the level of the situation's tension..
Was that a skip in his heart beat?..
How could someone be this pretty?..
His lips immediately moved before he could realise.
"I just met.. an angel"
