•WILLIAMS MANSION•

The sitting room door swung open violently, as if a dangerous intruder was about to attack.

At that instant, Gilbert stumbled into view looking like he had just escaped a predator's claws with his forehead dripping with sweat and his chest heaving with ragged breaths..

"Nina, where the hell are you, show your face!" He shouted, startling Dorothy who was seated on the couch, watching a movie.

"Dad?.." she called, wondering why he was looking that terrible.

He looked so dirty like he had fallen into a dirty ditch several times and his upper buttons were gone..

Not just that, his trousers were torn too in the knee side!

"What's going on?.." A thought crossed Dorothy's mind.

"I didn't even hear the usual loud honks of his car, had he parked somewhere?" Dorothy thought again, turning off the television immediately.

She fully knew that the sound of voices coming from the TV could cause her dad to destroy the it while transferring aggression..

He had done it several times and this was the tenth television they'll be using in two years.

"Nina!!" Gilbert shouted again, ruffling his hair while pacing to and fro..

"Dad, are you okay?.." Dorothy asked gently, trying her best not to add to the infuriation.

Gilbert paid her no attention, neither did he spare her a single glance.

He was doomed and was in no mood to talk to anyone.. especially those who can't solve his problem.

At that moment, Nina appeared from the stairs, giggling and chuckling with the person she was on a phone conversation with.

"Trust me, I can never miss night parties, it's an obsession" she said further, descending the stairs in a very slow manner and causing Gilbert to completely run out of patience.

"Nina, end the damn call. We need to talk!" he said, walking closer to the stairs restlessly.

Nina sighed, staring at him with an unfriendly look.

"I'll call you back buddy, some folks need attention" she said to the caller before ending the call.

"What is it?" she said with a frown and glare, remaining in the spot where she was with folded arms.

Gilbert wanted to speak but she was faster.. she spoke again

"You left with Iris not long ago and you've surely satisfied yourself before dumping her, why are you trying to disturb me?"

"Nina.." Gilbert said, still trying to catch his heavy breaths. He kept pointing towards the door, seeming too tensed to speak.

Nina scowled at him, finding him so annoying.

"I have somewhere important to go, get yourself out of my way" she said with a hissing sound.

"The car got stolen!" Gilbert finally spoke and instantly, Dorothy gasped from behind him.

Nina turned to him with furrowed brows..

"The company's car?!" Her voice portrayed both shock and disappointment at the same time.

"My phone is gone too" He said, staring at her with a pleading sad look as if she was capable of retrieving the items.

"This car in question was given to me as an official car in the company, what do I tell my bosses?.. I'm so doomed" he added with panic.

Nina snickered in mockery..

"Tell them that you've carelessly lost it while trying to do something stupid..," Nina replied.

"You know I'm so sure you had some silly intentions when you refused to get rid of that girl through any other means but dumping. You're so shameless and stupid!" She added.

Dorothy hiccuped..

"I didn't. I fvcking didn't do anything because she escaped! And then.. " his voice trailed off and he sighed.

"Nina, you have to do this.." he digressed.

"You need to help me track its location right now.." he added, still panicking.

Nina rolled her eyes..

"Sorry, I lost my tracking skills.." she smirked, hissing before returning upstairs

"Nina Williams!!!" He almost screamed out his lungs.

"Be careful, hypertension is real.." she replied in a mockery tune from the stairs and Gilbert ruffled his hair again, kicking off the stool.

Dorothy watched in silence, biting her lower lip before letting out a mutter.

"That serves you right"

•WHITE HOUSE•

"Let's go in son, your father is definitely not in a good mood" Cecilia said to Tristan who was still glaring daggers at Austen.

"He'll definitely not ignore Harrison even if he's mad at the whole world.." Tristan said jealously.

Karen smiled from upstairs.

"Ride on dad! Some cockroaches are so invisible!" she said loudly, chuckling.

Kathy raised her eyes to her with a hateful glare.

"Last year, you were twenty and foolish, this twenty-first year is even worse!" she said.

"At least I'm better than sluts!" Karen responded savagely.

"Just admit that your middle has been used for rituals!" Kathy replied.

"You know why I'm happy?.. I'm happy because I don't share the same face with you. God intentionally didn't make us identicals" she added.

"Keep barking. I need to greet dad who didn't even notice you" Karen replied, leaving the spot where she was and proceeding inside.

"B¡tch.." Kathy cussed

"I'll surely destroy you" she added with tightened fists.

She turned back to the direction where Tristan was, just now but to her surprise, Tristan wasn't there anymore. He already went inside with his mum.

"To hell with you all!!!" Kathy screamed

•HEAVENS ESTATE•

The make out session had been going on for about six minutes now and one thing was very certain to them both – This could lead to something else if they don't stop anytime soon..

Moreover, sucking on her sensitive spot made Harrison notice something.. Her scent!

The Jasmine bloom scent coming out of her body screamed familiarity but unrecognizable..

The ringing sound of his phone interrupted the moment even before he could stop his doings and at that instant, he disconnected his lips from hers, causing a sweet cute sound to erupt from the disconnection..

He remained like that.. right above her and slowly, her eyes opened but of course, she couldn't lock eyes with him, she made her eyes remain glued on his chest while the phone kept ringing in the awkward moment..

"Oh Velvet, what have you done!.." she screamed inwardly, feeling an unexplainable sensation between her legs..

She had been turned on, even without realizing and Harrison himself wasn't included..

"He's.. gone.." she said slowly, feeling herself at the peak of awkwardness..

Everything had happened really fast.

So damn fast!..

Just a few hours ago, he saved her from an accident..

A short while ago, she tried attacking him while mistaking him for someone else..

And now, they just finished swimming in a pool of pleasure while trying to deceive his father..

Harrison jolted out of his senselessness, getting off her immediately and giving her the chance to sit up..

"I'm.. I'm sorry.." He stuttered.

Iris nodded, adjusting her cloth quickly. There's no way she could be with this man in this awkward atmosphere anymore..

For crying out loud, she almost slept with a stranger who ignited some unbridled passion in her, just now!!

She had to leave!

And so, she got up on her feet immediately.

But then, the haunting question came..

"Leave to where?.."

"I'll go find a job that includes accommodation" she replied thoughtlessly the voice in her head.

"That was my father and I was trying to make him believe I.." Harrison paused, staring at the lady in front of him who was busy searching for her flip-flops.

"I needed to make him believe I'm in a relationship so he'll cancel my betrothal with someone I hate so much.." he continued..

Iris muttered no reply..

She was listening but her mind was focused on the intent to leave.

"Your slippers dropped on the road when I carried you. I'm sorry I didn't pick it up. I was too tense to.." he said and she was forced to stop her fruitless search..

"I definitely can't leave without a footwear" she replied, trying her best to avoid those piercing amber eyes.

"Yeah, I have so many.." Harrison said, getting up from the bed also..

Iris quickly shifted away when he passed by her..

Harrison pressed his lips together.

If only this lady knows how much she's making him go insane..

The feeling he had was so different or was it because he admired her beauty at first sight?!

"Here, try this .." Harrison said, dropping a pair of pam designers in front of her feet and though it looked bigger before she could wear it, it seemed even more bigger when she slid her feet in.

Harrison snickered, finding it so funny. Her legs were too small!..

"Thanks.." Iris said quickly, heading towards the door..

She still had a few blood stains around her mouth – caused by the blood she released when she got the trigger.

"I can always drop you off. I'm very sure you aren't familiar with this estate" his words came just as she raised her hand to the door knob.

"I can.. leave myself" Iris replied, her words almost stumbling around each other.

She twisted the door knob and made to leave but Harrison was relentless.

He couldn't let her go, just like that.

Not just because he knew she was helpless and had a bad father but also because he'll be needing her by his side to convince his father even more..

"Dad saw her, how do I convince him that I'm really in a relationship if she leaves and he demands to see her?.., Geez.." his thought was nothing other than that.

"Are you really going back to the father that almost raped you?.." he questioned aloud, stopping Iris who was even hesitant to leave, in her tracks.

"No.. I'm going to get a job that I'll survive with." she replied with sincerity..

"Did you leave home with any educational qualification certificates?.." Harrison asked, taking a few steps towards her..

Iris' eyes widened a bit in realization..

"No.." she itched her neck.

"I can work in a bar without educational qualifications right?.." she said slowly, locking eyes with him this time..

"Yeah, but there's a high risk of being raped by the drunkards and stripers" Harrison said intentionally, trying to discourage her.

"What!.." she exclaimed

"Then I'll work in restaurants," she said with a reassuring nod.

Harrison bit his lip for a second.

"They don't pay well. Trust me, after serving, you'll wash the dishes all through the night for just peanuts" He tried discouraging..

"What the –" Iris breathed in frustration and Harrison smiled secretly in satisfaction.

"I have a better offer.." he spoke after a few seconds of silence, giving a glimmer of hope.

"Okay?.." Iris said quickly.

Harrison said nothing, taking further steps towards her before speaking.

"Work for me instead. Be my secretary.." he said and Iris gasped..

Harrison nodded, that was literally the only way he could make her stay around him to make his father believe.

Perfect!..

"But… but I'm not with my educational certificates. I don't even know if I have a good educational background. I don't –" Iris came up with lots of excuses till he interrupted.

"I'll be your tutor if you want lectures on business-related affairs and other secretarial works. Accommodation is included and I'll pay any amount you want.." Harrison found himself saying..

Iris' eyes kept widening..

"This is the best job ever!!!!" Her mind screamed.

"You'll also travel with me for business trips and have the opportunity to explore the world. You'll have more —" he wasn't done talking when she interrupted.

"When am I starting.." she asked quickly with so much interest.

Harrison smiled broadly..

"You've already started.."
