Chapter 4

I don't write quickly.

It took me over a month to finish a short story and hand it to my uncle, Wang Chuan.

"For submissions... you can do it online, a thousand characters for eight hundred. Any lower and it's not worth talking about."

I wrote novels in college, so I'm quite skilled.

Wang Chuan's mouth opened in surprise, "So this piece is eight thousand?"

I shyly smiled and nodded earnestly.

"What? Eight thousand?"

Feng Cuihua's voice almost blew the roof off.

Her eyes widened like copper bells.

"Made of gold or what, eight thousand?"

Even though I was allowed to tutor Wang Chuan, Feng Cuihua didn't expect me to be so "valuable."

I sat next to her, rubbing my slightly visible belly, indifferent, "Yes, eight thousand. For my son, I definitely have to work hard to earn money, and for our mom, once we have money, we can eat better."

Feng Cuihua, however, thought, eight thousand, this bought wife could earn back the money in two months.

Worth it!
