Sophie was stunned, her grip on the report tightening to the point it crumpled into a ball.
Cecilia was surprised. She hadn't expected Samuel to suddenly do this.
However, she found it amusing. This place was like a stage, full of drama.
Thinking Cecilia was smiling at his efforts, Samuel thought he had succeeded. He was proud of himself.
Unable to hold back, Sophie rushed over and snatched the bouquet from his hand.
When Samuel realized it was Sophie, a look of disgust crossed his face.
"What are you doing here?"
His words made Sophie's tears finally burst out.
"What do you mean?" She cried as she said, "Didn't you text me to come here, Samuel?"
He frowned in confusion. "When did I text you? Are you dreaming?"
'It wasn't for me?'
The realization hit Sophie like a thunderbolt, ringing in her ears.
If the text wasn't for her, then he must've made a mistake and meant it for someone else. Moreover, that someone else was… Cecilia?!
