Speed Villain
Chapter 9: The Fleet of Vengeance
---
A Sky Full of Enemies
Kael-X stood in the center of a massive crater, his body aching from the fall. Smoke and dust swirled around him, but he had no time to recover.
The Zypheron war fleet had arrived.
> Twenty ships. No, more.
They loomed in the sky like floating fortresses, blocking out the sun. Their hulls gleamed with obsidian plating, their weapons already charging.
This wasn't just a response.
This was vengeance.
> "Kael-X of Zypheron," a booming voice echoed from the lead warship. "You have betrayed your people. You have defied our rule. Your execution is inevitable."
Kael-X scoffed, brushing the dust from his jacket. His silver hair still covered his eyes, hiding the fire that burned within them.
"You sent me here as a slave," he growled. "Now you want me to bow? Try and make me."
> BOOOOM!
The first barrage rained down—energy cannons roared, plasma missiles screeched toward him.
But Kael-X wasn't there.
He vanished.
---
A One-Man Army
The battlefield erupted in blinding light as the Zypherons unleashed their full firepower. Trees disintegrated, buildings collapsed, and the ground split apart.
But Kael-X was already in the sky.
Speed blurred reality.
Power shattered physics.
He appeared on top of the first warship mid-air, his boots barely touching the metal surface before he—
> BOOM!
—kicked through it.
The entire ship ruptured, explosions chasing him as he phased through walls, tearing apart its core with bare hands.
One down.
Nineteen to go.
---
The General Enters the Field
As Kael-X ripped through the fleet, a single figure stepped forward.
Tall. Clad in Zypheron battle armor. Eyes glowing red.
> The Zypheron General.
Unlike the others, he wasn't attacking yet.
He was watching.
> Studying.
Kael-X could feel it.
For the first time since escaping Zypheron, someone was actually measuring his speed.
A smirk formed on the General's face.
"You rely too much on your raw speed, Kael-X," he said. "Let me show you what true control looks like."
He raised a single hand.
And suddenly—
Time slowed.
---
Caught in the Trap
Kael-X felt it immediately.
His movements were lagging.
It wasn't like before—this wasn't just energy suppression or a gravity field.
The General had done something different.
> He was controlling time itself.
Kael-X tried to move. He was still fast, but not fast enough. The Zypheron soldiers—who should have been statues to him—were now matching his speed.
And then they attacked.
A thousand strikes at once.
Kael-X dodged—barely. Plasma blades sliced across his arms, chest, legs—cuts that should have been impossible.
Pain burned through him.
For the first time since arriving on Earth—
Kael-X felt slow.
---
The Race to Overcome
Kael-X clenched his fists.
This wasn't just a fight.
This was a race.
He had spent his whole life running, breaking limits, moving faster than the universe itself.
Now, for the first time, he was being outmatched.
The General smirked.
"You feel it, don't you?" he taunted. "Speed alone isn't enough."
Kael-X gritted his teeth.
> No. He won't accept this.
> He won't lose.
Then—
He closed his eyes.
He let go.
And he ran.
---
Beyond the Limit
Kael-X's body blurred—no, it vanished.
The moment the soldiers tried to strike again, he was already gone.
> Not faster.
Not stronger.
But beyond.
Something shifted inside him.
Time itself shook.
For a fraction of a second—
Kael-X wasn't just running through time.
He was running outside it.
The General's smirk vanished.
> "Impossible."
Kael-X reappeared behind him, his fist already swinging.
The last thing the General saw—
Was a shockwave.
---
A New Fear
The entire fleet watched in horrified silence as their General was sent crashing through five warships—his armor shattering like glass.
Kael-X stood in the sky, breathing hard, his hands clenched.
The soldiers—who once thought they had him cornered—took a step back.
For the first time—
They feared him.
They feared the Speed Villain.
But Kael-X wasn't done.
He lifted his gaze, staring at the remaining fleet.
And whispered two words.
> "Your turn."
---
To Be Continued…
Kael-X just broke past his limits, and the war isn't over yet.
But what exactly did he just unlock?
And is there something even faster lurking in the universe?
Chapter 10 will bring the aftermath of his new power, and the Zypherons' final plan to stop him—no matter the cost.
