Chapter 15: The Trap
Kael-X's body blurred as he ran, tearing through the landscape at speeds beyond human comprehension. Every step left craters in the ground, his presence distorting the air like a heatwave. He wasn't running away—he was hunting.
The signal he sensed was leading him somewhere. Deep underground.
The humans thought they were safe hiding beneath the Earth? Foolish.
He stopped on a lone, abandoned road. His silver hair swayed in the wind, still covering his eyes, but he didn't need to see—he could sense everything. The underground facility was at least five miles below.
With a smirk, Kael-X raised his fist.
Then he punched the ground.
Impact
BOOOOOOM!
The Earth split open.
A colossal shockwave erupted from the impact, sending jagged cracks racing across the landscape. Buildings in the distance trembled as the force spread for miles. The road beneath him disintegrated into dust, and a deep, endless crater formed beneath his feet.
The underground was no longer hidden.
Kael-X dropped into the depths, descending at a speed that shattered the sound barrier.

Inside the Facility
Alarms blared. Red warning lights flashed violently, illuminating the terrified scientists as chaos erupted around them.
"He found us!" someone screamed.
"Impossible! There was no way he could detect—"
CRASH!
The ceiling collapsed.
A black blur streaked through the facility, too fast to be seen. Cables snapped, machinery exploded, and the entire underground bunker trembled as Kael-X arrived.
Power flickered and died.
The electromagnetic force from his speed fried everything in his immediate vicinity.
Then—silence.
Thick dust and darkness swallowed the facility.
A single red emergency light flickered, casting eerie shadows.
Then came the voice.
"You humans talk too much."
A soldier barely had time to react before Kael-X appeared behind him.
"Too slow."
BOOM!
A shockwave sent the soldier flying into a reinforced steel wall. His body left an imprint before slumping unconscious.
The other guards opened fire.
Bullets tore through the air—only to freeze.
To Kael-X, they were crawling.
He simply tilted his head, letting them drift past. Then he moved—vanishing from sight.
"Where did he—"
BOOM!
In less than a second, all the guards were down.
Kael-X turned to the lead scientist, who was now trembling, his back pressed against a control panel.
---
The Truth
Kael-X stepped forward, his presence crushing. The scientist could barely breathe under the sheer weight of his aura.
"You know something," Kael-X said, his voice eerily calm.
The scientist gulped, sweat dripping down his forehead. "W-We were just researching... Compound-X!"
Kael-X's eyes narrowed beneath his hair.
"Compound-X?"
The scientist nodded frantically. "We found traces of it buried deep beneath the planet! We didn't create it! It was already here!"
Kael-X froze.
Compound-X… was already on Earth?
Then that meant…
Before he could process the implications, the ground shook violently. The alarms changed tone. Something massive was activating.
The scientist's trembling lips twisted into a smirk.
"Too late, alien. You fell for the trap."
---
The Ambush
The walls ripped apart as enormous mechanical arms shot out from hidden compartments. Dozens of massive, reinforced turrets emerged from the facility's depths, glowing with unstable energy.
A deep, monstrous hum echoed through the bunker.
Then—
BOOOOOOOM!
A colossal energy wave detonated.
The sheer force obliterated everything in its path, engulfing Kael-X completely.
Flames, debris, and shattered metal filled the underground abyss as the explosion expanded outward—
Swallowing everything in blinding destruction.
