Chapter 77: The Endless Mountain Range

Towering mountains stood tall against the sky, covered in snow. This region lay near the extreme north, far from the southern lands, surrounded by deserts. The Federation had named it: The Endless Mountain Range...

The terrain was barren, with sparse weeds and barely any trees in sight. There was no flat land, only continuous, undulating mountains. Standing atop one of the peaks, one could see countless mountains stretching endlessly into the horizon. A few withered trees could be spotted in the distance, and the cold, sandy wind swept across the dry, yellowed grass, adding to the desolate atmosphere.

Suddenly, several mechas streaked across the sky, stirring up a chilly wind that caused the surrounding vegetation to sway in their wake. If one looked closely, they would notice that each mecha bore two bold red characters on its back:

Blood God!!

Yes, Blood God, not Snow God...

Following the mechas' perspective, one could see them weaving through the mountain ranges. At the center of several surrounding peaks, a massive modern military complex came into view. Upon closer inspection, it became clear that the foundation of this base had been artificially leveled—a truly astonishing feat.

No one would have imagined that in such a desolate and lifeless place, there would be a secret military corps hidden away.

Even Federation satellites, official maps, and various government websites provided no trace of this organization's existence. It was as if this military unit had appeared out of thin air, as if it existed in a realm between reality and illusion.

At the designated landing zone, the mechas descended. Their pilots emerged one by one.

"Welcome," Blood Two said indifferently. No matter what faction these Federation envoys came from, they deserved proper treatment. Though the Blood God Corps did not belong to the Federation's formal military structure and had significant autonomy—sometimes even capable of disobeying direct orders—they still had ties to the Federation.

Blood Two himself was born in the Federation. His elder brother was the head of the War God Hall and held the position of Vice Speaker in the Federation's Senate. With such a background and upbringing, Blood Two had always been driven by a sense of duty to serve his country.

Now, he had realized that goal. As the second-in-command of the Blood God Corps, he had reached Rank 97, the level of a Super Douluo, and was also a Three-Word Battle Armor Master. His status and strength were undeniable proof of his capability and dedication.

"Please, lead the way," Luo Xing said respectfully. Then, glancing back at his team, he instructed, "Stay here and stand guard. Once we're done, we leave immediately."

Blood Two said nothing more and slowly led Luo Xing into the military complex.

All around them, the sounds of soldiers training echoed through the air. Towering mechas stood at the ready, fighter jets were stationed, and high-level soul devices of ranks eight and nine were scattered throughout the facility.

Even with all his experience, Luo Xing couldn't help but marvel at the sheer power of this force. The Blood God Corps was simply too formidable. Yet, he dared not dwell on it too much. Classified military secrets were not for him to investigate. Even looking too long at this place felt like overstepping his bounds.

But there was no doubt—this army was undertaking a truly monumental mission.

Inside the Blood God Corps' headquarters, Blood Two escorted Luo Xing to the office of the vice commander. Having brought him this far, Blood Two disappeared, leaving Luo Xing slightly stunned before he proceeded to push open the door.

Inside, a middle-aged man sat at his desk, his uniform pristine. His chest was adorned with numerous medals of honor, and his shoulders bore the rank insignia of a major general.

"Speak," Long Tianwu said calmly.

"General, this is a gift from the Federation," Luo Xing said as he stood at attention. "Please accept it on behalf of the Blood God Corps. Furthermore, the people of the Douluo Continent, as well as the Sun-Moon Federation and its citizens, will never forget your contributions. What you have done is a supreme honor!"

Luo Xing saluted and placed a data chip on the table.

No matter the situation, a general with the rank of major general in the Sun-Moon Federation deserved the utmost respect. The Federation's military ranking system was highly rigorous; only those with immense contributions could attain such a position.

At that moment, Long Tianwu closed his eyes and reminisced about the days before he joined the Blood God Corps. His heart stirred with emotion.

Now, hearing these words, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of excitement and pride. The Federation had not forgotten them. The people of Douluo had not forgotten their sacrifices.

"Thank you. The Blood God Corps accepts the Federation's gift," Long Tianwu said with a rare smile. "However, before you leave, we'll exchange those yellow-grade mechas of yours for new ones. The Federation's branding on them is too conspicuous."

Luo Xing hesitated for a moment before replying, "General, before I go, I have a message to deliver on behalf of the Federation. The Blood God Corps has remained hidden for 6,300 years. By all rights, you should have long enjoyed the honor and recognition you deserve. But because of your duty to 'protect,' you have stayed in the shadows.

Now, I formally announce: the Blood God Corps is permitted to emerge into the public eye!

However, the responsibility you bear must still remain top secret. Nothing can be disclosed!"

Long Tianwu's eyes widened in shock. The Blood God Corps can finally step out of the shadows?

He abruptly stood up, his expression filled with excitement.

Even though their missions would remain undisclosed, even though the public would never truly understand what they had done, simply being able to exist openly as a recognized military force of the Federation was already a monumental change.

Luo Xing nodded firmly. This was the message he had been instructed to deliver, and he remembered every word clearly.

Long Tianwu burst into laughter. Nothing else mattered now. Even if his own deeds remained unknown, even if their missions were never revealed, simply appearing in the public eye—even under the name "Blood God Corps"—was something he could cherish for a lifetime.

After all, they had spent their entire existence waging war against the Abyssal Plane.

As for the risk of being exposed? That no longer concerned him.

Between satellite surveillance, fighter patrols, mecha deployments, and two Title Douluo-class experts standing watch day and night, secrecy could still be maintained. The Federation also had its own means of ensuring that their true purpose remained hidden.

"Luo Xing, return now. The Blood God Corps deeply appreciates this gift," Long Tianwu said as he examined the data chip in his hand.

Was this really a gift from the Federation?

Who in the military would send a music file as a gift?

But he knew the Sun-Moon Federation must have its reasons. On paper, the Blood God Corps was still officially a part of the Federation. This had been the case since its founding thousands of years ago.

The reason the Blood God Corps held such immense power was because of the mission they shouldered. Without that mission, they would be no different from any other elite military unit.

Now that the Federation had declared them free to step into the public eye, it meant that for the first time in over six thousand years, the Blood God Corps would exist openly—as an official Federation military force.

Before departing, Luo Xing left one final instruction:

"This music file must be broadcasted throughout the entire corps. Every soldier must hear it."

"What? We can finally go public?!" Zhang Huanyun couldn't believe what he was hearing.

He had expected the Federation's envoy to bring questions or concerns, but instead, they had simply delivered a gift and announced that the corps could emerge from secrecy.

The Blood God Corps had fought an unseen war for centuries. If even the slightest detail were exposed, it could cause mass panic. But on second thought, as long as their true purpose remained hidden, the Federation surely had ways to control the narrative.

With proper measures in place, their mission would remain a secret.

And now, the Blood God Corps would finally be acknowledged by the world.
