An elf appeared!
Brown bob cut. Skin white as jade. Pointed ears. It was a typical fantasy beautiful young female elf, with golden eyes that sparkled like they were inlaid with pure gold.
That's as far as my appreciation of her appearance went. My brain worked furiously, trying to figure out why this elf suddenly appeared.
She looked young, didn't shoot her bow despite seeing me, seemed frightened, and above all, looked weak.
And she was trying to escape. Probably a young elf who was wandering alone in the forest when she ran into me.
'I'll catch her.'
I had to be prepared to fight to the death. As soon as I stretched out my foot, the elf panicked and lost her footing, falling from the branch.
"Kyaaak!"
With a rather cute scream, the elf who slipped from the branch barely managed to hook her leg on the branch to avoid falling. Not even thinking about her skirt falling down, she hurriedly tried to get up.
But I had already jumped from my spot with all my might. The distance to the elf was about thirty steps, but I quickly closed that distance and reached her vicinity before she could climb up.
"...!!"
The elf saw me and quickly raised her upper body. She seemed to be planning to climb onto the branch and escape by jumping through the treetops.
But she was too slow.
"Lime!!"
I threw Lime, whom I was holding in my hand, toward the elf. Thrown with all my might, Lime flew like a basketball and hit the back of the elf's head hard.
Splat!
"Kkahuk...!"
The elf, hit by a surprise attack, fell forward and dropped from the branch. An amorphous green object was stuck to the back of her light brown hair, and Lime was wriggling as if trying to devour the elf.
"Lime, this isn't for you to eat."
I tore Lime off and placed him on my shoulder. The ears visible through the hair, now sticky with mucus, looked sharp enough to prick.
"Hee, heek...!"
The elf trembled in fear, letting out a high-pitched scream. She seemed to feel afraid of the weight of my dirty foot gently pressing down on her back. I poked Lime and pointed at the elf.
"This one is for me to eat."
Thud!
With those words, I struck the back of the elf's neck. The elf dropped her head and fainted, and I hoisted her onto my other shoulder.
'Was she alone? No. Something will surely come hunting for us.'
No matter how much I tried to erase the traces, I had come out to gather wood, not to kidnap an elf. But I was accidentally discovered, and if I let the elf go, elf hunters would definitely come to kill me.
I wouldn't die easily, but I had to take a chance.
'Let's flee to the dungeon for now.'
Erase the traces and carry the elf and the lumber into the dungeon to hide. There was still room for another prisoner, and even if something came attacking, the situation would be different if I could summon subordinates.
'Please, let no one notice, please!'
With desperate thoughts, I first took the elf into the cave, tied her up tightly with vine stems, and then hurriedly brought the logs into the dungeon.
"Kuhaa!"
My whole body was drenched in sweat. I had long since taken off my pants because they had become too wet and smelly.
The inside of the dungeon was already full of the sour smell of mucus and the crotch odor from me and Ayla, but now it would also be filled with the smell of sweat, wood fragrance, and the sweet scent like peaches coming from the elf.
'I need to make a ventilation system.'
For that, I needed labor first. After placing the log pieces to one side,
[Construction] Building Summoning Facility Lv.0.
[Wood 17 / 10]
[Magic Stone 1 / 1]
I finished preparing to build the summoning facility. But how? Would the system automatically handle it if I just pressed the button? Or would some kind of helper appear to assist me?
Whether it worked or not, I had to make the first move. With a "let's see what happens" attitude, I pressed the button.
[Construction] Building Summoning Facility Lv.0.
[Please designate a location to install the summoning facility.]
[Please gather the specified materials at that location.]
The system was helpful. A hologram-like illusion appeared before my eyes, and I moved it around inside the dungeon to check the foundation.
'Foundation or whatever, there's no way to do anything in this place anyway.'
What kind of interior design can be done in a non-ventilated single room? I set the position of the summoning facility in a corner of the wall. A space where two beds should be placed was temporarily designated, and I stacked 10 pieces of log in the specified shape.
'Now for the magic stone.'
Since it's something I obtained from killing the dungeon master, I hope there will be a good result. I placed the magic stone on top of the log pieces, and soon a new window popped up.
[Construction] Do you want to build Summoning Facility Lv.0?
[Materials consumed: Wood 10, Magic Stone 1]
[Time required: 1 hour]
[Expected result: Summoning Facility Lv.0, ?????]
"What's with the question mark making people anxious?"
No, think positively. Isn't it the rule in games these days to give resources for one free gacha pull at the beginning? When the facility is built, I might get an item or a gacha ticket to summon magical creatures.
'But it takes an hour.'
I had 7 pieces of wood left. I checked the materials needed for other construction facilities.
[Construction] Building Bedroom Lv.0.
[Wood 0 / 5]
[Construction] Building Prisoner Jail Lv.0.
[Wood 0 / 10]
[Iron 0 / 1]
"For now, nothing but the bedroom is possible."
Although the bedroom was just a wooden platform, I didn't have the technique or tools to make such a smooth platform. I was just grateful to the system, and the system consumed five pieces of wood and quickly made the bed.
It also took 30 minutes to make the bed.
In the meantime, I split the remaining two pieces of wood by hand and shaped them. Although I had no tools, at least I had the strength and fingernails to split logs.
Crunch!
I used all of the remaining 2 pieces of wood to produce what I thought should be in a dungeon.
'A trap to repel intruders.'
I had lost the mace I used to carry. And I couldn't make the weapon I wanted to use here.
But I still needed a weapon to use temporarily. I split the wood with my hands, then filed it with my fingernails to sharpen it.
A sharp dagger to stick in an intruder's neck.

Ryun was more tense than ever before. By the time she realized she had lost consciousness, she had already been kidnapped by the monster and captured in a cave.
'How could something that only happens in fairy tales...!'
It was terrible. Above all, the naked green monster showing its back was frightening. Its ability to run faster than an elf, its attack from a distance, and above all, that thing dangling between its legs—
'So barbaric!'
How could it walk around openly exposing its genitals? Even if it was a monster, there should be a minimum level of decency—
"This one is for me to eat."
A chill ran down Ryun's spine.
Eat.
It clearly said it would eat her.
Ryun slightly opened her eyes and examined the inside of the cave. There were two unknown magic circles drawn, and the monster was in the center, splitting wood pieces by hand to make something.
It was a long wooden skewer. That's when Ryun became certain.
'It's trying to eat me!'
What the elders and adults had said since childhood wasn't wrong. The story that green-skinned monsters would capture you if you wandered alone in the forest wasn't just a made-up tale to put children to sleep.
She couldn't die like this. The monster hadn't noticed that she had awakened. Since it was making a skewer, there must be a chance to escape—
"You're awake."
"...!!"
Ryun quickly closed her eyes. Pretending to be unconscious, pretending to have lost consciousness. She could only hope that the monster had been mistaken.
Thud, thud.
Thanks to her hearing, which was superior to others, the monster's approaching footsteps sounded like thunder. Ryun realized the monster was coming toward her and prayed it wouldn't notice.
But such sweet dreams could never come true from the moment she was captured. Ryun's body was suddenly lifted into the air.
"Hmm, so this is the elf."
The monster's sweaty voice heated Ryun's face. Ryun was pretending to be limp, but she couldn't help but slightly frown instinctively.
"To think I'd get to eat an elf, kuhehe."
The monster even licked its lips as it shook Ryun.
"I know you're awake. Open your eyes by the count of three. One, two—"
"P-please spare me..."
In the end, Ryun was the first to give in. She pleaded with the monster in a tearful voice. She didn't have the courage to look at its face.
"P-please don't eat me..."
"Kuhup."
The monster gently stroked Ryun's hair. Its hand, as big as a pot lid, was large enough to grasp Ryun's head in one go.
"I won't eat you."
The monster said, wiping Ryun's eyes with its thumb.
"I'll 'take' you."
"...?"
Ryun.
Still a young elf.
Not understanding what "take" meant in this context, she interpreted the words at a level she could understand and was shocked.
"You'll take my head and eat... Hwaaaaaang!!"
Splish.
Ryun wet herself in terror.
