Maya's eyes flashed with anger as she stood beside Alex's hospital bed. She had been waiting for this moment for so long, and now that it was finally here, she was determined to make Alex remember their relationship.
"Alex, don't you remember me?" Maya asked, her voice trembling with emotion. "We've been together for months. We've shared so many memories, so many laughs and tears."
But Alex just shook his head, his expression confused. "I'm sorry, Maya. I don't remember anything."
Maya's face fell, and for a moment, she looked like she had been punched in the gut. But then, her expression hardened, and she sneered at Alex.
"You don't remember me?" Maya spat. "You don't remember how I've been by your side all these months? How I've taken care of you, supported you, loved you?"
Alex looked at Maya, his eyes filled with a mixture of confusion and pity. "Maya, I'm sorry. But if I don't remember you, then maybe you were just a...a side chick or something."
Maya's eyes widened in shock, and for a moment, she looked like she had been slapped. Then, her face contorted in rage, and she screamed at Alex.
"How dare you!" Maya shouted. "I was never just a side chick! I was the one who loved you, who took care of you. And this is how you repay me? By forgetting me and insulting me?"
The hospital room fell silent, with only the sound of Maya's ragged breathing breaking the stillness. Alex looked at Maya, his eyes filled with regret and apology. But Maya just turned and stormed out of the room, leaving Alex alone and bewildered.
