CHAPTER 10

c10 - Don't Use That Technique

Fuujin and Raijin were infamous in the village.

The two simple-minded brutes, often referred to as the "Legendary Stupid Brothers," had once been Tsunade's subordinates. However, their obsession with food and their utter lack of discipline had made them unpredictable and dangerous. The concepts of village, duty, and comradeship meant nothing to them when hunger took over.

Their sheer brute strength, complete disregard for orders, and history of violence had made them more of a liability than an asset to Konoha. Their names alone were enough to send chills down the spines of even experienced shinobi.

"We can't stop them! What do we do?"

"I heard even Jōnin have trouble handling them when they go berserk. Only Tsunade-sama could control them!"

Many of the stationed shinobi turned pale. Some immediately began evacuating the teachers and students of the Academy, while others rushed forward in a futile attempt to halt the approaching duo.

But against Fuujin and Raijin, standard tactics were useless. The two brothers were behemoths, their skin thick as armor, shrugging off kunai and jutsu like mosquito bites. Every attempt to slow them down only enraged them further.

---

Inside the Academy, chaos erupted.

Students from various grades were thrown into confusion. Roars and tremors echoed from outside, and dust filled the air. Though they didn't fully understand what was happening, an unsettling fear gripped many of them.

"Is the village under attack?"

"No matter who it is, they're dead! No one can just walk into Konoha and cause trouble!"

Under the teachers' orders, students began moving toward the emergency shelters. But Fuujin and Raijin weren't stopping. The Academy walls trembled as the monstrous brothers stormed through, their sheer size and force tearing through barriers with ease.

"Move!"

Yoshino-sensei's urgent shout barely came in time. Several students were nearly trampled.

"I'll use my Genjutsu to stop them!"

Sharingan!

Uchiha Kazue's crimson eyes spun to life as she cast an illusion, aiming to immobilize the rampaging duo.

"It won't work," Yuuji muttered, his expression dark. Standing barely a hundred meters away from the brothers, he knew that brute-force idiots like them weren't easily swayed by illusions.

---

"Brother, I smell food."

"Yes, brother. The village is cruel. There's food everywhere, but they won't share it with us. We'll just take it for ourselves."

The two hulking figures stomped forward, their singular goal overriding all logic.

Each step shook the ground.

---

Might Guy sprang forward to protect Yuuji—only to be swatted aside by Fuujin's massive hand like an insect.

"Hurry and get out of here! I'll buy some time!"

Masada Yoshino gritted his teeth, drawing a kunai as he charged at the brothers.

Shing!

A flurry of kunai flew through the air—only to bounce harmlessly off their thick skin.

In the next second, Yoshino was nearly crushed.

"Sensei, if you're not strong enough, don't charge in recklessly…"

Yuuji formed a series of hand seals.

Kazue's keen Sharingan caught every movement.

Tiger. Ox. Rabbit.

"What kind of technique is that?" A chill ran down her spine. This wasn't a standard Fire Release.

Yuuji's face remained calm, but the air around him shifted.

Then—

A searing heat exploded outward.

For an instant, it was as if molten lava had appeared. The temperature spiked by dozens of degrees in mere moments, and it was still rising.

Kazue's Sharingan flared, analyzing Yuuji's chakra flow.

What she saw sent a jolt through her.

It was as if a volcano had erupted inside his body. His chakra swelled to immense proportions, roaring like an unstoppable tide through his tenketsu. The sheer heat distorted the air around him.

He was serious.

He was ready to use that technique.

"Nuclear Release… White Hot—"

Before he could finish, a blur of motion cut through the battlefield.

A figure moved so fast that even Kazue's Sharingan barely caught it.

BAM!

Yoshino was kicked aside before he could be crushed.

The same figure landed beside Yuuji, gripping his wrists tightly.

A sizzle filled the air as the heat seared the man's palm, burning flesh instantly.

"Don't use that technique, Yuuji-san. Not yet."

Might Duy's voice was calm but firm.

Yuuji blinked.

Might Duy, the man mocked as a "forever Genin," had intercepted his attack.

Now, the thick-browed shinobi stood tall, his expression unreadable.

"This is my time to burn with youth."

Yuuji exhaled and relaxed his stance.

"Duy-sensei… Wasting the Eight Gates on these guys would be a shame. You can play a much bigger role elsewhere."

The Legendary Stupid Brothers charged again—only to stop dead in their tracks.

A visible shiver ran down their spines.

"Brother, I got a bad feeling…"

"Me too… Like that time with Big Sis…"

For the first time since arriving, Fuujin and Raijin hesitated.

At that moment—

Fwoosh!

Three masked figures in white cloaks appeared.

"Golden Binding Technique."

Chains of chakra wrapped around the monstrous duo, halting their movements entirely.

"We've secured them. Are you all alright?" one of the masked ANBU asked.

They turned to Yuuji and Duy, noticing the burned palm.

Something had nearly gone terribly wrong here.

"…Something interesting happened, didn't it?" another ANBU muttered, glancing at Yuuji.

Duy bowed deeply. "Thank you for arriving in time!"

The ANBU merely nodded. They were here to complete a mission, not ask unnecessary questions. The Legendary Stupid Brothers would be taken away, their punishment severe.

---

"The village is pathetic," Kazue muttered after a moment of silence. "How could they let idiots like those two run free?"

She didn't comment on the heat, or the overwhelming pressure she had felt earlier. But her gaze on Yuuji had changed.

And then there was Duy…

Could this so-called failure of a shinobi really stand against monsters like them?

"The village has its reasons," Duy answered humbly, bowing once more.

The crisis had ended.

Most students and teachers only saw the surface events—that ANBU had saved the day. The real depth of the battle, the abilities on display, went unnoticed by the majority.

Obito, meanwhile, was nearly in tears, realizing just how weak he truly was.

"Legendary Stupid Brothers… In the original timeline, these two ended up imprisoned after killing their own comrades over food."

Yuuji narrowed his eyes.

They weren't quite at that point yet.

But they would be soon.

---

Later, classes were dismissed early. Students left in a daze, still rattled from the events.

Yuuji, as usual, waited until the crowds had thinned before leaving.

As he stepped outside, Kazue was waiting.

Leaning against the wall, arms crossed, she spoke.

"What was that technique you used?"

"Oh, that? Just a little trick."

"A little trick? That technique burned a ninja's palm instantly."

Yuuji smirked. "Believe me, compared to my real ability, it was just a warm-up."

The two walked into the woods outside the village.

"You sought me out, Kazue. You've made up your mind."

Kazue nodded.

"I need that power. I'll do anything for it… I'll dedicate myself to the village."

Yuuji's eyes gleamed.

"The village, huh? You misunderstand. If you follow me, that is serving the village."

Kazue's breath hitched.

Something about Yuuji terrified her.

"…When did you learn to deceive so well? Or were you always like this?"
