Chapter 107: The Partnership

After creating the perfume that morning, Sean knew it needed a name that screamed luxury—something to justify its future price tag. Thus, "Golden Legend" was born—majestic, pricey, and a subtle jab at his last card pack's lack of legendaries.

"Lord Sean, did you really receive a divine revelation?" Lucio asked, astonished. While he'd heard rumors of Sean being the Church's "Son of Light," he'd dismissed it as peasant talk. But a divine recipe? That was different—something bishops dreamed of.

Sean's expression turned solemn, voice echoing with holy gravitas:

"I would never lie. Days ago, my soul ascended to the Light's realm ..... The Almighty, moved by my devotion, gifted me the lost recipe for dwarven spirits—a drink vanished for over a century."

"Dwarven spirits? The one lost in the orc invasion?" Jessica gasped, her skepticism fading. She knew the recipe's value—enough to shake the Dwarven Kingdom, possibly even trade for a viscounty.

"Yes." Sean nodded, watching her eyes widen with greed.

Jessica leaned forward, sudden urgency in her voice: "Sell me the recipe! I'll pay handsomely—even a viscounty."

"Regrettable," Sean sighed, feigning disappointment. "I've already contacted the Dwarven Kingdom's envoy—a Sky Rank warrior—arriving this afternoon. The recipe goes to them."

Jessica deflated. Rivers Family might scheme against Laine's nobles, but provoking dwarves? Suicide.

Lucio, clueless about dwarven spirits, piped up, "What did the Light's realm look like?"

Sean's tone remained reverent:

"I saw divine garments, shoes unlike any here—fashions I'll recreate. But most wondrous: every deity smelled of a sacred aroma. The Light explained it as a byproduct of spirits—perfume." He nodded to Jessica's vial. "That is my first creation."

Jessica startled, nearly dropping the bottle. She unstoppered it, releasing a rose-scented mist that filled the room.

"Rose!" she exclaimed.

Lucio sniffed, grinning, "I got roses daily at academy—know that scent well."

Sean hid a smirk. "I extracted rose essence. A single drop on fabric lasts all day."

Jessica dabbed some on her sleeve, marveling at the lingering fragrance. "Wonderful, but I prefer tulips. Still, many ladies will adore this."

Sean seized the moment: "Tulip scent is easy. Jessica, as your family's treasurer, care to partner? We'll sell perfume across Laine—luxury for nobles, fortune for us."

"Partner? How?" Jessica's eyes lit—she needed a win in her new role, fast.
