Chapter 3

One of the bulky men kicked the door open, and Elena stumbled as she was shoved into the dark room. Her body skidded on the floor. She groaned from the pain, completely unaware of the ragged breathing of something in the room.

"Enjoy yourself," one of the bulky guys said, before slamming the door shut.

Elena flinched from the loud noise. Once the man was gone, she struggled to get up; her breathing labored. Her weakened limbs crawled to the door, hitting it with her fists and trying to open it, but no matter what she did, it wasn't budging. Her heart pounded under her chest as fear coiled in her stomach.

She was focused on destroying the doorknob with her dainty hands until she heard a growl from behind her. Glancing over her shoulder carefully, the darkness of the room finally registered in her.

The dark had never been kind to her. It always brought her misfortune, fear, and sorrow. She wanted to run from it but every time, it dragged her back, as though reminding her where she truly belonged.

The atmosphere was eerie, and a faint smell of something burning permeated the air. Another growl came from the corner, jolting Elena.

Her back pressed on the door as she asked in a trembling voice, "W—who's there?"

There was no answer, but she saw eyes glowing in the dark. Sharp, hungry, terrifying eyes. Elena swallowed the lump in her throat, her eyes never leaving those glowing eyes, while her hands were still trying to pull the doorknob.

Please, please, open. Please, open! God, please help me! She screamed inside, pleading with the higher being that she once resented. There was something dangerous lurking in that room, and now it made sense to her what the bulky guy meant when he shoved her inside.

Something starved was in that room, and Elena was the food.

Realizing this, Elena panicked and used her whole body to tear down the door, despite knowing it was futile.

All of a sudden, something flew in the air so fast that Elena's eyes couldn't keep up. The small glimmer of lights in the glass window coming from the disco ball in the lower level disappeared, and her vision was completely covered by a looming shadow.

She whimpered, her sobs barely escaping her lips, as her teary eyes widened at the sight of the figure before her, embers flickering on its body illuminating its face a bit, its lips were half-opened, fangs slipping out in the corner, and guttural sounds were coming out of its lips.

Elena's body shuddered. It looked human, but it didn't seem human.

"P—please….no…d—don't hurt me…" Elena muttered shakily. She wanted to hit her head on the door and just lose consciousness, instead of witnessing what horrible things might happen to her. She prayed relentlessly for someone to save her. She kept convincing herself everything was just a dream.

However, the touch of that creature was proof that everything was real. It was her reality.

Large calloused hands grabbed her shoulders and squeezed them tight. She winced from the pain, and before she could utter another word, her body was thrown to the bed. She bounced on the soft mattress due to the impact.

Elena hoisted herself up immediately, but this time, the unknown creature jumped from its spot to the bed, landing above her. She screamed when she finally got a good look at it. The lights below seemed brighter than before, lighting up the room a bit, including the face of the creature staring at her with those glowing eyes.

It was a man, naked from top to bottom. His face was unscathed, but his body was covered in burns. His dark, long hair cascaded on his forehead and shoulders—messy, damp, and smelly. His wrists and ankles bore deep bruises, and the skin on his chest was covered in fresh wounds, some small parts of his abdomen still had embers from a burn caused by a branding iron.

His broad chest rose and fell in an uneven rhythm, and his entire body trembled not out of fear like Elena did, but due to a different reason.

The moment his head lifted and his blazing gaze locked onto hers, she felt her breath seize. His eyes burned in the dark, their golden depths wild and fevered, unfocused yet brimming with something primal. His lips were parted, panting as though he were in pain, his muscles drawn so tight it looked as if he was restraining himself from devouring his prey, or just too excited to gobble it.

Elena crawled backward until her head hit the headboard. She kicked the man in the jaw. His face turned to the side due to it, but only a growl came out of its mouth. He lunged forward, flashing his fangs and flaring nose at her.

His hands pressed on her sides, moved on her chest and ripped her clothes. Elena could only sob and scream, even her limbs stopped pushing the man away. Her legs were caught by him and she was pulled back under him again. His muscled thighs were on her sides, straddling her.

Her whole nakedness was laid bare in his eyes. Her face was swimming with sweat and tears. Her body flinched when he caught her hands, pinned them above her head, and started licking her breasts down to her stomach.

Elena screamed and wailed. She instinctively struggled, but his grasp was vice-like. Her body convulsed unwillingly from the heat of his lips exploring her skin. His other free hand touched everywhere, leaving every part burning. She groaned in pain when she felt something thick enter her, without preparation, without mercy.

She lost her virginity to some beast—the one thing she was proud of. The one thing she'd been waiting and treasuring to give to her boyfriend.

She lost all hope, she lost her will to live. Her eyes died down, blankly staring at the ceiling while below her was the beast pounding her without rest. She bled, both body and heart.
