Chapter 3: Making his Move

He couldn't help but feel bad for Heather. It must be terrible to feel complete trap. Heather was from Michigan she moved here to attend school. Shortly after moving here, she met her husband, Richard. Heather and Richard had a class together. Richard seemed so nice. He paid attention to her something Heather wasn't used to.

Things took a turn when they started dating. Richard became increasingly jealous. He would call and text her repeatedly when she was out with friends. She couldn't keep a job because of Richard showing up or calling her job. She went to visit her family and Richard showed up surprisingly. Heather didn't think much of it. Actually, she thought it was sweet that he surprised her by coming.

She was blinded by love. All she wanted to focus on was the good times. The times he surprises her with roses her favorite flowers. The time he bought her a pair of shoes she wanted. Eventually, they moved in together. Then things took a turn for the worse. Richard began to isolate her more. She couldn't talk on the phone if he wasn't there. He sold her car. He paid all the bills and gave her an allowance he called it.

Listening to her story brought tears to his eyes. Not only because it was sad but because he knew someone just like Heather. The difference between Heather and his friend is Roman's friend didn't make it.

"Thank you for listening to my sob sorry." Heather said, drying her eyes.

She smiled at Roman as she got up from the bench.

"Hey, Heather if you ever need anything to just let me know." Roman said.

Heather entered the building. Roman sat a little longer thinking. He wanted to help her.

The rest of the day went by without much happening. Roman made dinner, ate, and went to bed.

Heavy rain slammed against the window. Thunder roars outside. Roman woke up and checked his phone at 8:30am. Today is Sunday, Roman decided that he would take the day to do some research.

He logged in to his computer. He went to Google.

Properties for sale near me

A list of websites came up. Clicking through the websites he saw a couple of properties that he liked. There was a single-family home with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Then there was a multi-family home. The asking price is the same. Roman thought about earning potential. A single-family home meant only a single payment for a month. While the multi-family offers 2 payments a month.

It's Sunday so the offices are closed. He was thinking about putting in an offer for the multi-family home. It would be a fixer upper, but he would make it work. Sitting at his computer he remembers that Nicole said her lawyer would be in touch. He went to the dirty clothes basket to get his pants from yesterday. He had a card from Nicole with her number on it.

The phone only rang once before it was answered.

 "Hello Nicole speaking." Nicole said.

"Hey Nicole, its Roman King we spoke yesterday." Roman replied.

"Yeah, I remember. I meant to call you my lawyer asked for your contact info so she can send you the contract."

"Okay feel free to have her give me a call."

"Okay will do. When you have time stop by the shop."

"Okay I'm free Tuesday I can stop by"

 "Okay see you then"

 The phone hung up.

He added a reminder on his calendar to visit the shop on Tuesday.

The storm had stopped. He can take some time to update his wardrobe. There is a tailor that he has been meaning to checkout for some time. If he is going to become influential businessman, he needs to look the part. Cargo pants, tee shirts, jeans, and shorts aren't going to cut it. People would more likely think he is the help before they believe he is an owner or investor.

"Keys check. Wallet check. Phone check. Okay I have everything." Roman thought to himself.

Roman headed out the door. He saw Isabella coming down the hall. Teddy holding his mom's left hand. Leo holding her right hand. She looks so good. Her long hair up in a ponytail. Her shirt barely contained her massive boobs. Her pants showing off her gorgeous thighs and ass.

"Damn you look good" Roman said. He meant to say it in his head but the words actually came out of his mouth.

"I know." Isabella said with a wink.

For years Roman has imagined what it would be like to bend her over. To have her throwing that big, beautiful ass back against him. Only thing stopping him back then was Isabella's relationship with Jason. Isabella really tried to make that relationship work. Jason just took advantage of her. He never truly committed and tried to make Isabella feel like shit every chance he could.

"Fuck Roman man the fuck up and ask her out." Roman mumbled to himself.

Roman jogged down the hall to catch Isabella. She was just about to head out the door.

"Hey Izzy, I know this is sudden, but would you have dinner with me?" Roman asked

Isabella paused. She had a thing for Roman, but she never thought he would ask her out. She always thought Roman only saw her as a friend. He had never attempted to make a move on her. Even after she left Jason. She would see Roman with different women and knew he wouldn't be tied down. But the way he cared for her and the twins made him more attractive.

Isabella was tapping her foot on the ground. She did that when she was nervous. She couldn't make eye contact.

 Roman grabbed her chin.

"Hey, I asked you a question." He said. His tone was gentle yet assertive.

Isabella started to blush. She had never seen this side of Roman. The commanding side.

"Okay but I have to find a sitter." Isabella replied, staring into his eyes.

"You do that. Be ready by 7:30 and wear a dress."
