Tomorrow

Early in the morning, Elise and Jonathan awoke from their trance, looked at each other with a fulfilled smile, and saw the love for each other in each other's eyes. But not only love but also passion and an incredible longing for each other. With a sneaky smile, she said:

"That is unfortunately going to have to wait a while, my delicious God, because I want to see our kids first before they go to school. Once the house is empty, then I will fuck you to pieces!"

He laughed heartily and replied:

"As long as you keep that promise, my hot Goddess, because I'm going to fuck you straight through that shower wall today!"

Which in turn made her laugh heartily. Hand in hand, they disappeared from Heaven and appeared in the kitchen of their home. Everything was still quiet, and they noticed that everyone was still sleeping peacefully. A smile appeared on their faces as they felt Casiel sleeping in their bed. She seemingly had company in the bed because she held Maximus against her, and he was very much enjoying himself. Jon snorted. Whereupon Elise asked:

"What's up, love?"

"I tried to imagine what Cas and Max were talking about in our bed, no less. Seemed very interesting to know, but on the other hand, knowing Max's preference to embarrass me, it might be better to leave that box closed."

She laughed heartily at his words. Jon started making coffee and a lot of tea, the latter being the favorite drink of the ladies. It would be a while before any movement would be noticeable in the house. They were enjoying their drinks on the patio, and Elise once again just flopped on his lap, which he just loved. They were lost in each other when they noticed that the grandparents had been the first to wake up and come to them. After they embraced each other, his grandfather asked:

"Everything went as it should?"

Jon replied:

"It went like clockwork, Grandpa, no problem. After we rest for a few hours, we will start to shape the future this afternoon."

Elise asked:

"Grandma and Grandpa, would you guys mind keeping my mom some company? I noticed she is still a little confused by the presence of Jon's dad and can't quite place that."

Grandma smiled and said:

"Yes, after all that has been said and made up about him for the last two thousand years, I can well imagine. Don't worry, child, we will reassure her."

Grandpa said:

"You should have a word with Casiel."

Alarmed, Jon asked:

"Why, Grandpa, what's wrong with Cas?"

He smiled softly and said:

"You and your family that's up with Cas."

He pointed to Elise and said:

"Your beautiful Goddess knows what I mean. And you know damn well why too. Until a few days ago, you couldn't put those feelings into words out of fear. Today everything is different, and today you are God. So... make it real for all of you! O Jon, I do not mean just Cas. We are Grandpa and Grandma now. There are others in your group of Celestials that need us to be that and that need you and Elise to be mom and dad. Do not repeat our mistakes. We demanded more or less to be mother and father, not knowing better. We do now. If they need you as mom and dad and to be there for them, then let us be just grandpa and grandma."

Grandma looked at Elise:

"She must ask and say the words herself, but you know that, honey."

Jon nodded and said:

"Going to do just that, Grandpa. Oh, yeah, while you're upstairs, make sure our moms and Tim can take on a physical body so they can come to Earth this afternoon."

Grandpa Robert looked at him a little strangely and asked hesitantly:

"Jon, are you fully awake from your trance? I am no longer God, you know?"

He got his smirk on his face again and said:

"Wasn't it your son who once said, 'Ye of little faith?"

He held out his hand to his grandfather, who now also smiled and took his hand. It seemed like a spark passed from Jon's hand to his grandfather's hand, and he said:

"Hmmm, I notice you have found a few new options on the new throne..."

"Yep, mine came full option, old man..."

They exchanged another hug and then disappeared in the direction of the new Heaven.

Elise had settled on Jon's lap again. As they sat in the garden enjoying the silence, Casiel walked somewhat timidly into the garden with Max in her hands and nervously sat down on a sofa opposite Elise and Jon. She had apparently found one of his dress shirts, Hugo Boss no less. He decided to leave the untouchability of his closet aside for a moment. Elise asked:

"Would you like a cup of tea, Cas?"

The latter merely nodded, and Elise handed her a cup of tea. They would not force the words out of the young Angel but let her come up with it on her own. It remained silent for a few minutes until they heard Cas ask very quietly:

"Jon?"

He said with a warm smile:

"What is it, honey? What can we do for you?"

"Why do you treat me differently than the rest of our little group? I know you love all of us, and we are all very important to you. You see everyone in the group as your little sisters and brothers. But you treat me differently. You always protect me. You always want to shield me from the bad things in Heaven, Hell, and Earth."

He sighed for a moment and said:

"Because you are the youngest, Cas, the baby. But not only because of that, and you know that very well. You heard my words the day before yesterday very clearly: You are my baby."

Again, there was silence for a few minutes, and then she looked at Elise and asked:

"I talked to Grandpa and Grandma yesterday, and they told me to talk to you. Because, according to them, you know exactly what I would really need, and because you know how Jon feels about me."

Elise nodded:

"Indeed, Cas, I know."

"Would that be okay with you? Would you want that too then?"

She smiled warmly at her and said:

"You will not hear the answer to that question until you utter the words Casiel."

The young Angel began to cry and said:

"I don't dare very well."

Jon said:

"Cas, please look at me."

Slowly the Angel did as she was asked. Jon and Elise had noticed that Sam and Jules had come into the garden but kept waiting at a little distance. They instinctively understood that something important was happening here. He looked deeply into her matching green eyes and said:

"Cas, sweetheart, have I ever refused you anything? Have I ever rejected you at all?"

She shook her head and then said almost inaudibly:

"Can I be part of your family? I know you said that you are my father. But you mean it differently than Grandpa, who wants all the others to call him father. Do you want to be my dad, and Elise, do you want to be my mom?"

Elise flew straight from Jon's lap and surged toward the young Angel. Took her in her arms and said:

"We would like nothing better, honey. If you want us to be your mom and dad, then we absolutely want you as our daughter."

Angel began to cry almost uncontrollably. Sam and Jules now flew towards her as well, and it became a group hug as the girls unleashed their full powers on Casiel, who quickly calmed down. Not much later, Pam, Fay, and Hope had joined the rest, and Jon watched the scene with a warm smile. Davy arrived still quite sleep-deprived and asked:

"What's going on with mom and the girl's dad?"

"Well, it turns out you guys have a new sister somewhere in that pile over there. Cas really wanted to be a part of our family, something we also really liked. Your new little sister is a little emotional right now, but that will soon pass, Davy. Nothing to worry about."

The boy got a wide smile on his face and said:

"Cool..."

Slowly the garden began to fill up as the next ones who stormed into the garden were Liz and Brandon. Jonathan laughed and asked:

"So impatient, Liz?"

"If only you knew, Jon... My Lord...Jon..."

Now a laugh escaped both Elise and Jon, and he said:

"Just Jon and Elise, darling. Titles only during work, and even then. We can sort that out later."

Meanwhile, the girls had found a spot, and Cas lay in Elise's arms with her eyes closed. Brandon came and sat next to Jon and leaned against him, and now he had the two boys close to him while Liz picked her own spot.
