In an instant, the entire village of Konoha plunged into chaos and panic. Terrified villagers screamed and ran in all directions, their cries filling the night as destruction rained down upon them. The once-proud streets were now nothing more than crumbling ruins, houses collapsing one after another as clouds of dust choked the sky, blotting out the moonlight.
And at the center of it all—like a harbinger of destruction—stood the monstrous form of the Nine-Tailed Fox.
With every earth-shaking step, the Kyuubi tore through anything that dared stand in its way. Entire districts of the village were reduced to rubble in mere moments. The sky burned red, illuminated by the beast's overwhelming chakra. Its nine massive tails lashed through the air, sharp as blades, carving through buildings as if they were made of paper.
Then, with a deep, guttural growl, the Kyuubi opened its mouth.
A dark, swirling mass of chakra condensed between its fangs, growing larger and denser with each passing second. A Tailed Beast Ball—a condensed sphere of destruction—took shape before the beast hurled it into the distance.
BOOM!!!
The explosion tore through an empty training ground, sending a shockwave rippling through the village. Debris flew high into the air, flames erupted, and the earth trembled beneath the sheer force of the attack.
But despite the devastation, a keen observer would notice something peculiar. The Kyuubi's attacks—though violent—had yet to directly strike a populated area. While buildings crumbled and the village burned, the casualties were surprisingly few.
Even the great beast itself seemed displeased, its crimson eyes narrowing in frustration. But there was nothing it could do—this was Namikaze Minato's command.
The Wrath of Uzumaki Kushina
Elsewhere in the village, Uzumaki Kushina's rage knew no bounds. Unlike the Kyuubi, she had no reason to hold back. Her golden Adamantine Sealing Chains shot out in all directions, tearing through structures and slamming into the ground with bone-crushing force.
Her chakra pulsed outward, sensing every living soul within the village. And within that chakra—within the energy that Kyuubi had left her—she saw them. The ones who had mocked her son, who had insulted him, who had turned their backs on him in his time of need.
She would make them pay.
"You ungrateful wretches!!!" she roared, her voice laced with fury. "My husband and I gave our lives for this village! We died protecting you!!! And this is how you repay us?! By tormenting my son? By treating him like dirt?! If our lives meant nothing to you—then I will take yours in return!!!"
Her chains shot forward, wrapping around several villagers and slamming them into the ground. They screamed in terror, their pleas for mercy drowned out by her wrath.
The village had turned its back on Naruto.
Now, she would turn her back on them.
Orochimaru's Next Move
Standing atop a broken rooftop, Orochimaru watched the carnage unfold with an amused grin. The destruction, the chaos, the fear—it was all so… beautiful.
And yet, he wasn't done.
Raising his hands, he formed a series of hand seals.
"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"
Bang!
A massive cloud of smoke exploded into existence, and from within it emerged a towering serpent—Manda.
The enormous purple-scaled snake slithered forward, its golden eyes gleaming with irritation.
"Orochimaru!!! What do you think you're doing summoning me like this?! If you don't have a worthy sacrifice for me, I'll eat you instead!!!"
Orochimaru's grin widened, but before he could respond, Manda suddenly stiffened. Its massive body coiled in on itself, its tongue flicking nervously.
"W-What is this chakra?! Kyuubi?! No… not just that—"
Its slitted eyes darted forward, locking onto two figures standing in the distance.
Two figures with blood-red eyes.
Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Mikoto.
Both of them had activated their Mangekyō Sharingan, their gaze filled with icy determination. The moment Manda met their eyes, it knew—this was not a battle it could win.
Fugaku stepped forward, his deep voice cutting through the chaos. "Orochimaru, it seems your summon lacks discipline. Do you need assistance?"
Without waiting for an answer, his chakra surged, and with it—his Susanoo materialized. A towering warrior of ethereal energy took shape, its dark purple armor gleaming under the blood-red sky.
On the other side, Mikoto followed suit, her own Susanoo forming beside her—sleek, deadly, and filled with righteous fury.
The two spectral giants loomed over the village, their presence alone causing even Ten Thousand Snakes to shrink back.
Orochimaru chuckled, watching his once-arrogant summon tremble in fear.
"Hahahahaha… This is quite the rare sight. I never imagined you'd be so polite, Manda."
The great serpent's tone shifted instantly.
"O-Orochimaru! You misunderstood! I was just joking earlier! Haha—hahahahahaha! There's no need for violence, right?! I'm a good snake! I would never demand sacrifices! In fact, I love working with you! Hahaha!"
Orochimaru's amusement only grew.
"Oh? But I clearly recall you saying something about eating me if you weren't satisfied…"
"N-No! You must be mistaken! I would never say such a thing! Orochimaru-sama, we're dear friends, aren't we? Ahahaha!"
The snake's desperate attempt at flattery only made Orochimaru laugh harder.
"Hahahahahaha… This is quite the rare sight indeed."
With a smirk, he finally spoke. "Very well, Manda. I didn't summon you to scold you. Destroy as much as you like. But—no unnecessary killing."
The great serpent immediately nodded. "Of course! Consider it done, Orochimaru-sama!"
The Confrontation—Orochimaru vs. Hiruzen
As Orochimaru turned away, he muttered to himself.
"Now, my dear teacher… do you like the farewell gift I've prepared for you?"
He chuckled darkly. "It doesn't matter if you do or don't. You're old, Sensei. You're no longer the ninja hero you once were. But don't worry… I'll give you the chance to relive your youth. Hehehehe…"
"OROCHIMARU!!!"
A powerful voice roared through the air.
And in the next instant, a figure landed in front of Orochimaru.
Sarutobi Hiruzen.
The Third Hokage's expression was a mix of shock and fury. His sharp eyes scanned the battlefield—two massive Susanoos, golden chains wreaking havoc, the Nine-Tails looming over the village. His heart pounded as he recognized those standing before him.
Fugaku. Mikoto. Kushina. Minato.
And above all—Naruto.
"Orochimaru!!! What have you done to Uzumaki Naruto?!"
Orochimaru grinned. "Sensei… why do you assume I did anything to him? Everyone here is simply making their own choices."
Hiruzen's hands flew through hand seals.
"I will not allow you to destroy Konoha! Katon: Karyū Endan!"
A massive stream of flames shot forward.
Orochimaru merely smirked.
"Kuchiyose: Triple Rashomon."
BOOM!
Three massive demonic gates rose from the ground, blocking the flames.
The battle for Konoha had begun.
