Daniella tightens her hand around mine, silently reassuring me as I try my best to not give away how nervous I am. "You're all late — unsurprisingly," she's the first to say, opening the door widely so they could come in.
"Sharing the same car was the worst thing I've ever agreed to, Eva had to stop every 10 minutes to pee," a tall blonde woman, the oldest looking one, answered with a groan. Only now do I notice the woman she's pointing to is pregnant. "So this is the girl you talked about?" she asks, looking back at me, her face perfectly stoic which really didn't help with calming my nerves down.
"Yes, this is Anna, my girlfriend," Daniella says, looking briefly at me. "Anna, this is Vanessa, Eva, and Isa," she completes, pointing to each woman as she says their names. Vanessa is the tall, intimidating blonde woman. Eva is a petite brunette and is very pregnant, that baby is holding itself in there for dear life. And Isa, a beautiful Asiatic woman that seems way too happy to see me.
I'll totally forget and mix all their names up.
"Nice to meet you all," I say with my best confident voice. Daniella did introduce me as her girlfriend after all, but it somehow made me feel even more nervous, now I know they'll judge whether or not I'm a good match for her. Which to be honest, it's something I'd do.
"You're adorable," Isa says, stepping closer and wrapping her arms around me in an excruciating hug, pinching my cheeks afterward.
"Don't scare the girl," Vanessa shoves Isa away, performing her own greeting, which consisted of two air kisses, one on each side of my face. She takes a step back, looking at me from top to bottom in a very much rude boldness, then up again, analyzing my face. "Daniella said you were young — but not that you came straight out of kindergarten."
"She's joking," Eva steps in, attempting to hug me with her huge belly. I glance at Vanessa, meeting her eyes — no, she iss definitely not joking. "But you are such a cutie."
I feel a hand pulling me back before I could even think about what to answer. Only now realizing my hand is still intertwined with Daniella's. "I told you to act normal," she groans.
"Where's the food? I'm starving," Vanessa says, completely dismissing her and walking past us to the living room.
"I bet she was your bestie," I whisper in Daniella's ear as we follow them inside. "Your partner in making students' life miserable."
She chuckles devilishly, which in my books is more than a confirmation. "Everyone hated us."
"Can you blame them?"
"Not really, we had loads of fun. If you think I'm a mean teacher, you've seen nothing," she smirks. "I learned all my tricks from her, she was my mentor."
"She seems like such a lovely person though," I say in a sarcastic tone, making her laugh.
The moment we all came into view in the living room Lucia stood up, almost in a jump-like motion, I didn't know she had it in her. "It's been so long since I've seen you all," she says, opening her arms and embarrassing each one of them individually. "Eva, I've heard of your pregnancy. And you got married, Isa. I'm saddened I wasn't able to attend."
"No worries, Mrs. Evans, your daughter didn't bother to attend anyways," Isa says, squinting her eyes at Daniella.
"I sent you a postal card," Daniella simply shrugs.
"That makes you the only one of us who is unmarried," Vanessa says teasingly. "When are you marrying the girl?"
The question, even though obviously a joke, left Daniella speechless for a few seconds. "I think it's a bit too soon to think about that," she looks at me seeking some kind of approval, I quickly nod my head yes.
"We've only been together for a few months, there's no need to rush anything," I add.
"Plus you're still so young, sixteen?" Vanessa says in a mocking tone.
"Nineteen," Daniella corrects her before I could.
"Oh thank goodness, I don't have to call the cops on you Dani."
"You're never too young to marry," Julia butts in. "I married at fifteen."
"No mom, you were abducted at fifteen," Daniella says in an all too serious expression, even though her voice had a teasing tone, making me feel less guilty about silently laughing.
After all the greetings, we finally sat at the table. The food was amazing, Lucia is truly a great cook, I can see where Daniella has gotten her skills from. The dinner went extremely well, we even got to sing the happy birthday song with a cake, even though Daniella explicitly forbade us from doing it. It was obvious she hated every second of it.
"The happy birthday song is crucial!" I say with my best serious face as she kept giving me the eye squinting treatment.
"No, it's not, it's awkward. What is one supposed to do? Clap? Sing along? It's stupid," she groans.
"It's not stupid. And I do clap and sing along," I smirk, pinching her cheeks. "You're the awkward one." She's quick to playfully swat my hand away.
We came into the kitchen to bring the dirty dishes, and also as an excuse to get some alone time while the others were discussing whatever they were discussing, it does seem pretty heated. It's mostly between my dad and Vanessa, they're getting along way too well — and by well I mean on the verge of physical fighting — which in my books means they're romantically compatible. I'm just glad she's married, imagine having her as a stepmother.
We listen in for a few seconds until Daniella turns to me with an apologetic smile. "I'm afraid if it comes to punching I'll have to take a bet on Vanessa."
"Don't apologize, she'd kick his ass in half a second."
She simply chuckles, circling her arms around me. "I'm sorry about her, she can be a bit mean."
"I don't think she likes me," I sigh, resting my head on her chest. "And don't say that she's just joking, she looks at me like I'm a child, and voices it very clearly too."
"She doesn't hate you, I guess she just wasn't expecting it from me," she says, locking her eyes with mine, checking if I had taken what she said in a bad way. "My ex was a male in his 30s, it's a very big jump."
"Was he cute?"
"Are you serious?" she laughs.
"Was he cuter than me? Be honest."
"I wouldn't describe him as cute, he's handsome but—" she says, leaving a bit of suspense. "You're by far the nicest to look at."
"By far?" I tease her.
"Am I this annoying when jealous?"
"I'm not jealous," I groan. "And no but you can be quite scary."
"I'm working on it."
"You have zero reasons to be jealous, I pursued you for a whole year, and I don't know if you can tell but I'm head over heels in love with you," I smirk, reaching up for a kiss. "I should be the worried one, I'm dating the hottest woman alive."
"You're exaggerating."
"I'm being honest," I raise my eyebrows as she lets out a shy smile. I know she secretly loves to be pampered like this, how spoiled.
"Let's go back before they notice we've been gone for this long," she says without any sign of unwrapping the arms that were around me, if anything she's holding me tighter. She sighs into my hair, leaving a trail of kisses down my face, finally landing on my lips, ghosting them with her own.
"Are we not going?"
"One minute," she whispers into my lips, planting various chaste kisses on my mouth, slowly building them up into a more intense kiss. I feel her hands slowly going up my torso under my shirt and for a moment I forget that we're in her kitchen and that anyone could come by and see us.
I hold her hands before she's able to go any further. "A little excited aren't we?" I tease her as I push my shirt back down.
"I want you," she murmurs, making my eyes immediately shoot up back to hers, she's wearing an expression that I know too well.
"Do you want to sneak upstairs?" I joke, barely able to mask my excitement.
"There's no way we'd get away with it," she chuckles. "How about we get rid of our guests?"
It takes us a while to actually get Vanessa and my dad to stop fighting, and for Sonia to get a hint that the party is over. That woman is an alcoholic, her poor husband had to drag her to the car muttering a million apologies.
"Are you sure you three don't want to spend the night?" Lucia asks as she leads Daniella's friends to the door.
"There's no need for that, it isn't that far," Isa answers quickly. "But we'll definitely come by another day since Daniella won't visit us."
"I called you once."
"To invite us to your birthday, you're not helping yourself, Daniella," Eva says in an amused tone.
"Let's just go, Daniella is obviously trying to get rid of us to hump her child." I have the impulse to answer that I'm not a child, but that's probably what Vanessa wants, I just give her a smirk instead.
At least I'm getting some, she must have spider webs on that coochie.
But she didn't have to say that in front of Daniella's mom, how embarrassing, the woman is going to be sleeping in the room in front of us. She didn't say a word about it when we wished her a goodnight, no parent wants to acknowledge that their children do the nasty.
Daniella on the other hand is too horny to be embarrassed, she pushes me to the bed the moment the door to her room closes, pinning me down to the bed with her body. I don't have time to react as she captures my lips with her own in a hungry passionate kiss, only stopping to pull my shirt out of my head.
I quickly sit up helping her out of her dress only to be pushed down to the bed again once it was out. "You've been waiting for this all day, haven't you?" I ask teasingly as she runs her hands up my stomach, I slightly arch my back so she can unclasp my bra which she does in one single movement.
"It was all I could think about," she smirks, running her tongue down my chest and taking hold of my breasts. Her soft tongue and hands contrasting against her roughness.
I take the chance she's on top of me to unclasp her own bra, at this point I'm already feeling all kinds of things down there, and knowing how much of a tease Daniella is, I know she's not going to let me have it my way until I beg for it. Once again taking the chance she's distracted with my breasts I roll us over, sitting on top of her this time. She can easily overpower me if she wants to but she stays put with a sly smirk on her face.
"A little excited aren't we?" she repeats what I've said earlier in the kitchen, her hands immediately take a hold of my hips, giving them a slight squeeze proceeding to run them up and down my torso.
"You started it," I answer, leaning down to kiss her. Her hands that were on my torso quickly move back down to my hips, taking hold of my panties, pushing them down. I break the kiss to get them off completely, taking hers along.
I have to make a run for it before she's able to push me on my back again, I sit on top of her again, this time with a leg between hers. She's incredibly wet and warm against my leg but I'm not very far behind.
I try to muffle a moan as my soft core comes into contact with her leg making her groan. "I want to hear you."
"Your mom is awake."
"She's most likely not, old people are like that," she chuckles.
"Don't be mean."
"There's a difference between being quiet and silent."
"Just say it turns you on," I smirk at her.
"It does," she answers simply, grabbing my face with one of her hands and pulling me down for another kiss as I get into position. Daniella lets out a soft grunt-like moan into my lips as our center comes into contact with each other.
...
Daniella sighs into my neck as I caress her hair, both of us cuddled up on her bed. "Don't fall asleep," I chuckle, looking down at her face.
"Do you want more?" she raises an eyebrow, lifting her head up on one of her hands so we're eye-level with each other.
"I'm fine, but did you forget about your gift?" I try not to laugh at the way her face lights up at the reminder.
"It's past midnight, but I'll forgive you," she jokes as I get up from the bed to get the bag from my backpack.
"Oh, how nice of you."
She extends her hand like a spoiled little girl as I sit back on the bed, I simply swat it away. "Close your eyes, give me your hand. No peeking."
She rolls her eyes in an amused manner but complies. Her palm is facing upwards, waiting for me to drop it in her hand but I flip it downwards instead, sliding the ring up her index finger. At this point, she had already opened her eyes. "It's a promise ring," I say before she's able to even process what to say. I don't want her to think I'm proposing this early on. "Just so the kids at school know you're taken," I try to say it in a joking manner but I'm pretty sure she can see how nervous I really am from a mile away.
She's speechless for a moment until she finally processes it, a faint blush creeping up her cheeks but she makes no effort in trying to hide it. She retrieves her hand to really look at it, it's a simple silver ring, expensive to me but to someone as well off as Daniella it must feel as cheap as plastic. "And you say I'm the jealous one," she smirks, finally letting her hand fall back. My face burns up with the realization that it indeed seems like I'm being a bit possessive. "I love the ring, I'll treasure it," she says, holding my face with both of her hands, bringing me in for a kiss. "But now I'll have to get you one as well, can't have all those customers at the flower shop thinking you're single, now can I?" she raises an eyebrow, a playful smile on her lips.
"There's no need for that, actually."
"Oh?"
I bring my hand up, showing her a ring already on my finger. "I thought you'd say that."
"You didn't have to buy both on your own, it must have been a fortune."
"I've been saving up."
"I thought you were saving up for a car."
"That too, these weren't that expensive in comparison, I can get better ones once I'm established enough."
"Don't be silly," she sighs, caressing my face with the hand the ring was on. "I love you."
"I love you," I whisper into her lips. Our voices gradually sounding more and more sleepy.
"How did you get my ring size right though?" she murmurs as we both fall back into the bed.
"We have the same finger size," I hold my hand up, she does the same. Her palm is slightly bigger but our fingers are pretty much the same size and thickness. "I'm a lesbian, I have an eye for these things," I smirk.
She lets out a sleepy laugh, at this point we're both trying not to fall asleep but to no use, the tiredness of the long day overpowers us and we end up falling asleep in each other's arms in a matter of seconds.
