Chapter 32

The two shortly got home, their footsteps grew heavy as they got closer to the door. Ju-woon's headache has now almost completely gone away, now just lingering at the back of his head. Or was is the headache that caused his head to spin?

Min-ho carelessly swung the door open as he always did and threw his shoes on the floor. But Ju-won wasn't like that, so of course he neatly took his shoes off and put them by the wall. As calm as he might seem his thoughts weren't, the thought of him liking Min-ho rushed through his head making his heart hurt, his head still spinning and his heart pounding he laid down on the couch.

This apartment this is where they-

"Want some water?" Min-ho's voice thick with alcohol and his throat slightly sore.

Ju-woon blinked back to reality, shaking his head. "No."

Min-ho eyed him up and down before shrugging. "Alright, whatever you say."

He plopped down beside Ju-woon on the couch, letting out a loud, exaggerated sigh. Too loud. Ju-woon ignored it, but Min-ho wasn't done inspecting him. His gaze lingered, eyes narrowing slightly, almost as if he was trying to read Ju-woon's mind.

Ju-woon frowned. "What are you looking at—"

Before he could finish, Min-ho cut him off. "Ju-woon?" His voice was softer than usual. "You've been acting weird ever since we left the club. You good?"

Ju-woon's breath hitched. His eyes widened for a split second before he forced himself to stay neutral. Shit. Was he being obvious?

No, it wasn't that. It was just the headache.

Right. Just the headache.

He hadn't realized how long he was zoning out until Min-ho tapped his shoulder. "See? You're doing it again."

Ju-woon rolled his eyes instead of answering. They sat in silence for a moment before the conversation slowly picked up again—random things, unimportant things. But somewhere along the way, Min-ho kept getting closer. At some point, he just rested his head on Ju-woon's shoulder like it was the most natural thing in the world.

"Move your head," Ju-woon muttered, barely putting any real bite into his words.

"No."

Min-ho didn't even hesitate.

They sat like that for a while, the quiet settling between them in a way that felt… different. Min-ho suddenly lifted his head, looking straight at Ju-woon, his expression unreadable. Ju-woon met his gaze, and for once, Min-ho was the one to look away first, exhaling a short laugh.

"Shit… I like you too much, Ju-woon."

Ju-woon blinked. He was too deep in his own thoughts to process Min-ho's words. "Hm? What'd you say?"

Min-ho raised an eyebrow, his lips twitching into a smirk. "Are you playing with me?"

"No, I seriously didn't hear you."

"I said I like you."

Ju-woon's breath caught in his throat. His fingers twitched against his knee as his heart slammed against his ribs. This wasn't the first time Min-ho had said something like that, but tonight… it felt different.

Min-ho leaned in again, tilting his head. "You've thought about my confession, haven't you?"

Fuck. Here it comes. The one question he was dreading.

Ju-woon swallowed, his mind racing. Of course, he had thought about it. And, honestly… he already knew the answer.

He liked Min-ho.

He fucking liked him.

But how was he supposed to say it? He wasn't the type to just—

"Actually, I have…" Ju-woon exhaled slowly, his voice steady despite the chaos in his chest.

Min-ho blinked, caught off guard. Clearly, he hadn't expected Ju-woon to actually respond. But then, his smirk returned, more dangerous this time as he leaned in even closer.

"So?" His voice dropped, teasing but firm. "What's your answer, Ju-woon hyung?"

Shit.

Ju-woon was burning, his whole body hot, his mind on the verge of shutting down. What was he supposed to say? What could he say? This could change everything. He should think—he should take his time—

But his lips moved before his brain could catch up.

"Min-ho… I like you."

His own voice startled him.

"I like you, alright?"

The moment those words left his mouth, he knew—

There was no taking them back
