Goomy's pokeblock

Rei soared over Sandal City on Staraptor's back, watching the golden fields and ancient ruins below.

The Pendragon Estate loomed ahead, a fortress of stone and banners, with the insignia of Dragonite and Salamence proudly displayed.

As they landed, a group of guards and servants approached. Their expressions were cold, their postures rigid. Rei didn't mind—he was used to people looking down on him on this city.

One of the guards, a broad-shouldered man with a Druddigon emblem on his chest, stepped forward.

"Rei, correct?" His tone was flat. "Follow me. The others have already arrived."

Rei simply nodded, following without a word.

The grand hall was as extravagant as he expected—massive pillars shaped like dragon fangs, walls decorated with ancient battle murals of dragon trainers taming legendary beasts.

At the far end stood three people:

Vance, a grizzled breeder from Hoenn with a scar over his left eye. He leaned against a table, arms crossed.

Eloise, a Kalosian researcher in a sleek white coat. A Noivern perched on her shoulder, watching Rei with curiosity.

Asta Pendragon, head of this branch of the family. He had silver hair and piercing gray eyes, a cloak lined with Salamence scales draped over his shoulders.

Asta spoke first. "You are all here because the Pendragon Family requires the best. We have been entrusted with a batch of Goomy from the main house, and your job is to create a Pokéblock that will push them toward their full potential."

His gaze sharpened. "You have one month. Fail, and you will not be welcome here again."

Vance scoffed. "Tch. If I wanted a lecture, I'd have stayed in Hoenn."

Eloise ignored him, stepping forward. "We'll be given access to dragon-type fruits and ingredients, correct?"

Asta nodded. "Yes. You will each have a private lab and workspace within the estate."

Rei, who had been quiet, finally spoke. "I see, will you continuesly give us dragon type materials"

Asta's lips curled into a faint smirk. "Yes, there is no limit but if you don't create a pokeblock that satisfies us, then you have to pay for the materials"

"I see, I agree" said Rei with a smirk

As the others rushed to experiment, Rei worked efficiently.

Unlike them, he already had an idea. Rei spent his time in seclusion for 2 days before finally creatong a pokeblock he was satisfied with.

From his research in the public library, he knew that Goomy's ancestors once had shells—a trait lost over time meaning Goomy does have rock type blood in the.

His ingredients included:

Dragon's Pulse Fruit – rich in dragon energy.

Tropius's fruit grown from their beard – enhances natural healing.

Smooth Rock Extract – reinforces body structure.

Mystic Berry – boosts adaptability.

By combining these, Rei created a Pokéblock designed to strengthen Goomy's slime, making it tougher and hopefully make it grow a shell

Taking this opportunity, Rey decided to use the rest of the materials, Rei turned his attention to a personal project—one that no one else needed to know about.

He wanted to test whether a Normal-type Pokémon could gain Dragon energy. His target?

Wooloo.

By using a mix of: Dragon's Blood Herb, Draconic Essence Crystals, and A drop of Garchomp's Molt

He crafted a Dragon-infused Pokéblock. If his theory was correct, this could push Wooloo toward a partial Dragon typing.

One afternoon, Rei noticed a figure standing at his door.

It was Asta.

Rei tensed slightly but didn't stop his work. "Something you need?"

Asta's sharp eyes swept over the labeled containers on his desk—including one marked "Dragon Sheep".

After a long silence, Asta spoke. "You think you can make a Normal-type Pokémon into a Dragon-type?"

Rei met his gaze. "I think types aren't as permanent as people believe. After all we have heard of pokwmon born with a diffrent typing than they are suppose to"

Asta didn't reply immediately. Then, to Rei's surprise, the older man chuckled. "Interesting." Without another word, he turned and left.

Rei wasn't sure if that was approval or amusement—but either way, Asta was watching him now.

And so two weeks pass, while testing his Pokéblocks, a young trainer from the Pendragon Estate approached him.

"Uh… excuse me. My Druddigon has been struggling with its scales… can I try one of your Pokéblocks?"

Rei glanced at the nervous boy, then at his Druddigon. Its scales looked dull and brittle—a common problem with improperly raised Dragon-types.

He tossed the boy a small case. "Give it this. One per day."

The next morning, word had already spread through the estate. More trainers in the pendragon family approached him, offering money in exchange for his specialized Pokéblocks.

By the end of the week, Rei had accidentally started his own business.

Vance, passing by, whistled. "You're selling them now? Guess that's one way to make use of your time."

Eloise smirked. "Making a profit before the competition's even over? Bold move."

Rei just smirked back. "It's not about the money. It's about proving a point."

And with that, his reputation in the Pendragon Family had officially begun.
