Mimikyu and Saphire Family

Rei walked through the bustling streets, his mind preoccupied with Rockruff's training. He had just bought a batch of special fruits to be made into pokeblock when a man in a deep red cloak stepped into his path.

The man had an air of authority—his posture straight, his gaze sharp like smoldering embers.

"You are Rei, correct?" the man asked, voice calm yet commanding.

Rei's eyes narrowed. "Who's asking?"

The man gave a slight nod, as if expecting the question. "I am from the saphire Family where your father come from. We are a proud family of Fire-type trainers, deeply connected to Officer Jenny Clan. We are one of the few outside their bloodline who are given ownership over Arcanine."

Rei's expression didn't change.

The man continued, "We've been searching for you. Your bloodline carries great potential. Your breeding skill is amazing. The family wishes for you to return. We will give you a growlithe"

Rei didn't hesitate. "Not interested."

The man frowned slightly but didn't push. "A shame. You carry the blood of a proud lineage. If you ever change your mind, the door is open."

With that, he turned and disappeared into the crowd.

Rei let out a slow breath. His father's family? Why now?

That night, Rei sat in his rented room, staring at his Pokédex. He knew nothing about his father's past. He barely remembered him.

If they suddenly wanted him back, there had to be a reason.

Rei made a call. He needed answers.

A few days later, an underground investigator delivered the report.

Rei's father had once been the younger brother of the current Saphire Family head—a rising star, expected to become a powerful trainer.

But he had made an unforgivable mistake.

He fell in love.

Not with another noble, not with an elite trainer—but with a civilian Pokémon trainer. Rei's mother.

His father supported her, providing rare resources to help her grow stronger. But the family disapproved of their relationship.

Then came the challenge.

Rei's grandfather issued an ultimatum—if they wanted to be together, they had to stop a Pokemon Tide led by a Steelix ravaging the Cave City, Ragos.

It was a near-suicidal mission.

But they accepted.

The battle was brutal. Waves of rampaging Pokémon clashed against them.

They won. But at a devastating cost.

Every Pokémon they owned, except Arcanine and Houndoom, died.

Even those two were left crippled, their power permanently diminished.

With their dreams shattered, they left everything behind—retiring to Ester Village, where Rei was later born. But not before cutting contact with the Saphire family. Rei's father also use Rei's mother surname showing that he cut off contact with his family.

His father never spoke of his past again.

The investigator provided one final piece of information.

"Their fallen Pokémon… they are buried outside Ester Village."

That evening, Rei stood before a forgotten graveyard.

Rows of simple headstones marked the final resting place of Pokémon who had fought to the death for their trainers' love.

Rei clenched his fists.

His parents had fought against fate itself—and lost.

Now, the family that cast them aside suddenly wanted him back?

Not a chance.

As Rei was dipped in thought he saw something, a mimikyu behind the gravestone of his father's pikachu.

The moment it saw Rei, it cheered and start rubbing him with it's costume.

'Could it be ?' Thought Rei as he looked at the ghost pokemon.

"Mimkyu... would you like to join me in my adventure" asked Rei while showing a pokeball to it.

Mimikyu staryed jumping and then it let itself get caught by Rei.

After getting mimikyu, Rei check it's potential and found that it has deep blue potential making him thrilled.
