Mimikyu Break Through

The moon hung low, barely visible through thick, swirling clouds. A ruined shrine stood in the middle of the forest, its broken pillars covered in moss, the stones cracked with age.

Rei crouched behind one of them, watching. For a while, he had been tracking these cultists—a fanatical group obsessed with the Reverse World, Giratina's domain. They claimed they wanted to see the dead and tonight, they would die.

Behind him, his Pokémon waited. Mimikyu, Lycanroc, Hanuape, Staraptor, Dubwool, and Marshtomp—all stronger than ever, all ready to strike.

This was their chance to make Mimikyu grow even stronger.

The cultists stood in a circle, chanting. Their voices echoed through the ruins, their words twisted and unnatural.

Dark energy gathered at the center of the shrine. A swirling vortex formed in the air, crackling with ghostly power.

Then, the shadows shifted. Three figures emerged from the darkness.

Gengar, its wide, malicious grin stretching unnaturally.

Dusknoir, its single red eye glowing with eerie light.

Chandelure, its blue flames flickering as if hungering for souls.

The cultists cheered, believing their ritual had succeeded.

They had no idea they had just signed their death warrants.

Rei's eyes narrowed.

"Now."

Staraptor struck first.

A blur of black and silver shot down from the sky, its wings glowing with energy.

"Brave Bird!"

The impact slammed into Chandelure, sending it crashing into a broken pillar. The ghostly flames flickered wildly before fading.

At the same time, Lycanroc lunged at Dusknoir, fire trailing from its claws.

"Fire Fang!"

The attack bit deep, searing through the ghost's form. Dusknoir howled, swinging its massive arms, but Lycanroc dodged nimbly, eyes burning with feral focus.

From behind, Hanuape and Dubwool charged forward.

One of the cultists panicked, reaching for a Poké Ball.

"Protect the spirits!" he shouted, releasing his Pokémon. A Cofagrigus and a Banette.

Another cultist joined in, releasing a Drifblim and a Trevenant.

It was an all-out battle.

Gengar, one of the three gym level pokemon summoned had been watching Mimikyu from the moment it arrived. It could feel the darkness inside it and it's amazing aptitute.

It wanted that power.

With a twisted grin, Gengar rushed forward—not to attack, but to consume.

It tried to devour Mimikyu's essence, to steal its potential. That was its mistake.

For a brief moment, their energies connected—and then Mimikyu counter-devoured.

A horrible screech echoed through the shrine. Gengar's form twisted, shrinking, unraveling.

The cultists gasped in horror.

Their strongest Pokémon was being eaten alive.

While Mimikyu devoured Gengar, the battle raged on.

Staraptor weaved through the sky, dodging Drifblim's Shadow Balls before slicing through it with Aerial Ace.

Dubwool smashed into Trevenant, sending it tumbling backward before finishing it with a lightning-coated Wild Charge.

Marshtomp blasted Banette against the shrine wall with Hydro Pump.

Hanuape danced around Cofagrigus' ghostly arms before delivering a devastating Thunder Punch, cracking its golden coffin open.

One by one, the cultists' Pokémon fell.

And then… the cultists themselves.

Rei didn't hesitate.

These people were willing to sacrifice anything to bring the Reverse World into reality. If they lived, they would try again.

He wasn't going to let that happen.

"Lycanroc, Fire Fang."

The first cultist barely had time to scream before burning fangs tore into his throat.

"Staraptor, Brave Bird."

Another cultist tried to run—only to be slammed out of existence, his body shattered on impact.

"Dubwool, Wild Charge."

Electricity crackled as another cultist was fried in an instant.

One fell to his knees, begging for mercy.

"Hanuape, Thunder Punch."

The cultist's chest caved in.

The shrine was silent.

All that remained was Mimikyu, standing over what was left of Gengar. Then it ate every soul of the cultist and their pokemon. It broke through to the gym level. Lycanrock burn all the human corpse and Rei took the pokemon's corpse.
