11 out of 10 recommended! This story is a diamond in the rough. A true gem. The world is fresh, interactions are well-thought-out, and the mc has his quirks that makes sense, but just adds a level of comedy gold!
really like your books and this one is a no brainer ......always an exciting and adventurous read. Only two chapters and you can feel the adventure
"Turning on Critque mode" or what he says. The author clearly wants a smart character however they clearly don't understand how a smart person thinks. The premise is good so far, but the main character sucks.
Give some time for this n release some chapter.
I wasn’t going to write a review because someone had beat me to it with what was essentially my main critique. The authors response to that review was… hard to read much like this story. The author desperately wants a character that is goober intelligent for some reason and it comes across as incredibly cringe. It’s also essentially a deus ex. More critically the logical fallacies on display in some of the thoughts and conclusions the MC comes to is not indicative of a goober Uber ultra genius the author clearly wants us to believe the MC is. I mean seriously ‘They aren’t going to kill me in front of the townsfolk so they must be lying about wanting to sacrifice me in a religious service and/or ceremony because these clearly iconographly *religious* people wouldn’t do that for some reason. Btw I’m goober intelligent.’. I wouldn’t mind if there was a bit more in the memories or context that helped that conclusion be reached or if the MC had any uncertainties at all. The whole ‘there aren’t windows this must clearly be of blatant nefarious purpose to isolate me from *the wider world* is dumb. Maybe sure or maybe it’s just one of the internal rooms in a larger building the lack of any accoutrements would be for more concerning then the lack of a window in a potentially landlocked room, so to speak. There are others but this is already to long. Reads like a redditors cringe delusions of self insert grandeur.
