Students scattered in various directions, some excited to find their dorms, others looking for their friends or potential rivals. The Grand Hall, though still grand, was starting to feel like a place of fleeting moments, each student carving their own path forward. Among the crowd, there were even more faces I couldn't help but scrutinize with my Appraisal skill.

I continued scanning the room, noting the powerful and diverse students gathered in this one place, each with their own set of skills, backgrounds, and motivations. Some of them would be allies, others rivals, and some… I couldn't yet figure out. Ardent Academy was a place where anything could happen, and I needed to be ready for whatever came next.

Damon nudged me again, his voice low. "You sure you're ready for all this? This place feels like a ticking time bomb."

I glanced at him, a small smile tugging at my lips. "I've dealt with worse. This academy may be a powder keg, but I've got the matches."

He grinned back, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Let the games begin, then."

As the students continued to file out of the Grand Hall and into the dorms, I couldn't help but feel the weight of my own purpose. There were far more threats here than I had anticipated, but there were also opportunities. And I intended to take full advantage of them.
