The man's daunting declaration

The man sat beside her, facing the other direction. He placed his hand on hers, her body strangely calming at his cooling sensation.

"Tell me, beautiful, should I just kill Killian?" The man leaned back so he could look at her face.

Amelia couldn't see his face because the hood only exposed his lips, and he gulped. Her insides trembled at his words. If it had been anyone, she would've thought they were joking. But not with him.

He was different. He made her feel that he could do everything he claimed he wanted, and the realisation was daunting.

"Why do you keep haunting me?" Amelia asked helplessly.

However, rather than feeling offended, the man grinned.
