"What's the meaning of this behaviour, Mrs. Ruan?! Why are you…?" Huang Zhe was angry at the sudden attack made by Song Ning, but his words stuck in his throat the moment he faced the icy cold stare that pierced through him.

"I just couldn't control my power when I saw my daughter's safety was being threatened by this girl. I thought she came here to suffocate my daughter to death?" 

"How could you say that?! Li'er is Ruan Ji's best friend, Mrs. Ruan. Don't you even know this much about your daughter? How could you strangle your daughter's best friend like that? It's simply inhumane!" Huang Zhe tried to defend Su Li, but the next words coming out of Song Ning's mouth almost made him spit blood.

Huang Zhe took a deep breath as he approached Ruan Ji, standing by her bedside as he took a document out of his pocket, placing it in front of her.

His ugly and annoyed expression made Ruan Ji very happy, but she kept it inside as she asked with a confused face, "What… is this, Huang ge? What's wrong with you?"

She tugged at the corner of his shirt pitifully, deliberately touching him in the process. As expected, Huang Zhe slapped her hand away almost right away, which made her tear up again.

"Huang ge?"
