Test begins

A sharp beep echoed through the massive hall, cutting through the tension like a blade. The quiet hum of conversation died instantly as a massive hologram flickered to life above them.

A figure appeared—a stern-faced military officer in a sharp uniform, hands clasped behind his back. His gaze swept over the room as if he could see each and every recruit personally.

"Welcome, candidates." His voice was deep, steady, and absolute. "This is your one and only chance to prove yourselves worthy of the Snipe Squad. If you're standing here, it means you believe you have what it takes. But belief alone won't save you. Only skill, precision, and the ability to perform under pressure will determine if you make the cut."

The room was dead silent.

Jade kept her breathing steady, her eyes locked onto the hologram.

"Your test begins now."

With a loud clank, the doors lining the hall slid open.

No instructions. No explanation. Just open doors and an unspoken command: Move.

Jade didn't hesitate. She took off.

Her boots hit the ground hard as she sprinted forward, pushing past slower recruits. The air buzzed with energy as everyone rushed through the doors, some confused, others desperate to gain an early advantage.

The moment Jade stepped inside, the room shifted.

The walls morphed, transforming into a massive, high-tech training ground. Metal platforms rose from the floor, creating a battlefield of cover, sniper nests, and open lanes. The air smelled like steel and ozone.

Then, the walls split open, revealing rows of weapons.

Jade's eyes flicked across them—rifles, pistols, shotguns, even experimental models she had never seen before. Around her, recruits lunged for the ones that suited them best.
