Silver Heart (Present Day)
Peering over my shoulder as I ran at break-neck speed, I discovered the doors were wide open, and the lights were out as if no one was ever there. I stopped running, skidding to a sudden halt, confused. Looking all around, I found myself alone in the rows of books and the oddly placed scroll or two, but the feeling of being watched had only intensified. Backing up slowly towards the floor-to-ceiling windows, I tried to figure out what happened and tried to discover where my pursuers had disappeared to.
