Full Moon King

Sorting the late returns, I tried to figure out my schedule for that day. 


Reshelve the late books after I apply the late fees to the various accounts… Finish indexing the new books… Oh, I need to meet with Professor AlMawt. He said he had some important news to share with me. I wonder if he’s on his way here or if he’ll wait until after the ceremony– 


The library doors burst open behind me. Turning to face the arrival, I discovered an albino boy panting from effort with a look of shock on his face. 


Is this child okay? Is he running from bullies? I don’t think I’ve seen him before. I wonder if he’s a new transfer… Though, that would be highly unusual for this time of the year. Maybe a quick greeting, and he'll tell me what's going on, on his own?
