Episode 18 : Alarmed

Captain Naseer and other elite Arab soldiers sat silently behind the truck. Captain Qusay, gagged, with his hands and feet tied, sat on a military chair inside the truck.

Three military trucks moved together. All elite Arab soldiers were holding their rifles. The three trucks moved towards their respective missions. One truck began to move alone, separating from the other two trucks. Before reaching the destination, the truck stopped near the entrance to the city. All soldiers got off the truck, including Captain Zahir. Two soldiers were assigned to guard the military truck.

Eight soldiers moved in groups past many buildings. Captain Zahir, leading the beta squad, gave a signal. They split into two groups, four in each group, and each group entered two buildings near their mission destination.

They arrived at the top floor of the building and sat by the window. One window was opened near the staircase. They aimed their weapons out of the window.

Groups one and two of the beta squad were ready to fight. A building that used to be an Arab army headquarters was now controlled and used by Israeli soldiers.

Two elite Arab soldiers set up their scopes and aimed. Another soldier behind each of them, using Lee Enfield No. 1 Mk 3 rifles, observed the situation with binoculars.

"Aim for the heads of the black-uniformed Israeli soldiers," the sniper assistant directed.

Two elite Arab soldiers fired. Their bullets pierced the heads of two Israeli soldiers. The two Israeli soldiers fell where they stood and also slumped on chairs.

"Enemy attack!!! Our invincible soldiers are down!" shouted an Israeli soldier seeing two of his comrades fall.

The sniper elite Arab soldiers continued to fire. Their shots hit the abdomen of two Israeli soldiers. They both fell screaming in pain, one inside the lower level of the building and the other on the rooftop. Israeli soldiers panicked, seeking cover and searching for the locations of the elite Arab soldiers, their enemies.

Three Arab soldiers threw many smoke bombs near the former Arab army headquarters building operated by Israeli soldiers. Thick white-gray smoke filled the air. The three elite Arab soldiers ran through the thick smoke and shot several Israeli soldiers using Sten SMGs. Four Israeli soldiers fell dead from the shots fired by the three elite Arab soldiers.

An Israeli soldier threw a grenade from the staircase to the upper level. One elite Arab soldier kicked the grenade back to its owner before it fell to the floor. The grenade exploded, killing the Israeli soldier.

An Israeli soldier rushed with a machete towards an Arab soldier who had just climbed the stairs. The elite Arab soldier blocked the machete with his Sten SMG. The Israeli soldier was kicked away, stumbling backward. The agile Arab soldier raised his Lee Enfield No. 1 Mk 3 and aimed at the enemy before pulling the trigger.

His shot hit the enemy's neck. The enemy's neck was pierced, blood gushing out, and he fell writhing on the floor.

Quickly, the Arab soldier ran and leaped, throwing himself onto the floor. Dozens of bullets hit the wall as the elite Arab soldier dodged enemy fire.

He threw a chair, knocking down a table to a lying position, then took cover behind the iron table. The thrown chair hit one of the Israeli soldiers.

The Israeli soldiers' shots failed to penetrate the lying iron table. The elite Arab soldier quickly pulled the safety pin and threw it towards the enemy. The grenade exploded, killing two Israeli soldiers. One Israeli soldier was hit by shrapnel and fell on the floor.

A lone Israeli soldier rose from the ground. The Arab elite soldier shot the Israeli soldier's face using a Steyr M1912 with a single pull of the pistol trigger. The Israeli soldier fell again. The Arab soldier shot the Israeli soldier's face again, using up the remaining seven bullets in his pistol.

"Clear!" said the elite Arab soldier. The Arab elite soldiers gathered on the top floor of the building, including Captain Zahir.

"How many invincible Israeli soldiers?" Captain Zahir asked, inspecting all the Israeli soldier corpses.

"Two invincible Israeli soldiers were shot in the head by our two snipers. Only two," said the elite Arab soldier.

"Good. This means the information we obtained from an Israeli doctor captured by the last operating headquarters is accurate," said Captain Zahir.

"So, do we need to gather all the weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, and food?" asked one of the elite Arab soldiers to Captain Zahir.

"Yes. We need to gather all available supplies for the last headquarters while we conduct operations to hunt down the invincible Israeli soldiers and rescue the soldiers at the last operating headquarters," replied Captain Zahir.

"Are the invincible Israeli soldiers humans experimented to be bulletproof? Did our sniper shots penetrate their skulls? Which part is thick?" asked another elite Arab soldier.

"Don't forget the fact that the invincible Israeli soldiers have taken out twenty of our headquarters with their small numbers in just one or two days," Captain Zahir warned them of the danger of the invincible Israeli soldiers.

"Shoot them in the head before they become invincible. Weren't they vulnerable at first?" another elite Arab soldier asked, seemingly incredulous.

"We better hope that Alpha and Gamma squads don't encounter many invincible Israeli soldiers and they don't succeed in becoming invincible," Captain Zahir explained.

Captain Qusay fell from the bench seat at the back of the military truck. Captain Qusay screamed in pain as his legs were tied tighter. His hands were still tied behind his back even though the adhesive tape had come loose from the bench.

"Is this for real, Qusay," said an elite Arab soldier watching Captain Qusay from the front of the military truck.

"We better listen to Captain Zahir and Captain Naseer's orders than Captain Qusay's," said his comrade beside him.

Captain Naseer and nine other elite Arab soldiers moved underground through the water tunnel. They stopped at the stairs. Two elite Arab soldiers were assigned by Captain Naseer to guard underground.

A metal plate was pushed by an elite Arab soldier. He stuck his head out through the hole on the road. He observed the surroundings and signaled the squad.

Eight elite Arab soldiers emerged from the underground tunnel onto the road, including Captain Naseer. They moved towards a base camp on a rugged hill. Captain Naseer was on the rooftop of a building. Captain Naseer positioned himself lying down while aiming at the enemy using a Mauser 98k sniper rifle. He used binoculars before shooting.

"Can we proceed?" asked an elite Arab soldier behind Captain Naseer.

"Not sure. There are ten invincible Israeli soldiers. We can kill four because they are at windows, rooftop, and outside the building. Another six are inside the building. If we attack, we'll lose outright. We need to kill the invincible Israeli soldiers wearing black army uniforms first," explained Captain Naseer.

"What about asking headquarters for rocket support?" suggested the elite Arab soldier.

"It won't work. They'll become invincible before the aircraft arrives to drop bombs," replied Captain Naseer.

"Captain, we need to kill the four invincible Israeli soldiers first," the elite Arab soldier insisted.

"Alright. Have all snipers aim at the four invincible Israeli soldiers who are not protected behind the building. We need three soldiers to use RPG-7 or Panzerfaust," Captain Naseer requested.

"Got it. I'll inform the others. What's next, sir? Do we storm in?" asked the elite Arab soldier.

"Yes. Make sure everyone is dead," Captain Naseer replied.

Three rockets were launched. Three rockets flew into the building and exploded. Black smoke and debris came out through the windows. Three Israeli soldiers in black uniforms outside the building were surprised to see the explosion inside.

Exactly four enemy heads were shot. Four Israeli soldiers in black uniforms fell instantly as their heads were pierced by Mauser 98k bullets.

Ten Arab elite soldiers stormed the building and entered through the windows and broken doors. They immediately shot the Israeli soldiers. They shot the faces of the fallen Israeli soldiers after shooting their bodies.

The Israeli soldiers didn't have time to react and were all shot by the elite Arab soldiers. Suddenly, one Israeli soldier jumped out from the third floor of the building and landed on the ground in front of the building.

The Israeli soldier shot three elite Arab soldiers using an FN49. His shots hit the heads of the three elite Arab soldiers.

Captain Naseer quickly shifted his Mauser 98k from aiming at the building to the Israeli soldier. He fired, and his shot penetrated the head of the Israeli soldier who had killed three of his comrades.

"You're dead!" exclaimed Captain Naseer.

The Israeli soldier, still standing with a bullet hole in his forehead, aimed his weapon at Captain Naseer lying on the rooftop.

"Damn!" uttered Captain Naseer, then ducked his head.

The Israeli soldier's shot hit the soldier beside Captain Naseer. Blood splattered on Captain Naseer's face. The soldier's body beside Captain Naseer fell forward, then fell off the rooftop and crashed onto the ground.
