Episode 40 : Assault

Zawaq tried to regain consciousness. His body lay flat on the ground. Slowly, he pushed himself up and looked around. To his left was his father's head. He picked it up and walked toward his father's headless body to return it.

Zawaq took a shirt from the corpse of one of the Israhell soldiers and used it to cover his father's body. He noticed that the chains binding his hands and feet to two burly Israhell soldiers had broken.

The two massive, fierce-looking soldiers assigned to guard him had been utterly destroyed. Zawaq examined his hands, still bound by a chain linking them together. He tried to break the chain using sheer strength but failed.

His eyes caught sight of a sword lying on the ground—the same sword that David had used to behead his father. Zawaq retrieved the sword and unsheathed it.

Using the sharp blade, he cut through the chain binding his hands. Several soldiers surrounded him, aiming their rifles.

"Who are you?" one soldier asked.

Zawaq turned and faced them.

"Zawaq?" another Arab soldier asked in disbelief.

"Who are all of you?" Zawaq questioned.

"We are soldiers from the Arab forces. We're here to extract you," one of them explained.

"We have no time! Follow us quickly!" commanded another Arab soldier.

Without hesitation, Zawaq followed the Arab soldiers away from the area. But he soon changed his mind, running back to his mother's body. He took another shirt from a fallen Israhell soldier to cover her body before departing.

Zawaq and the Arab soldiers navigated through narrow passages between buildings to evade the Israhell troops.

At a nearby town, an Israhell military truck was stopped. Four Israhell soldiers were forced out at gunpoint.

"Shoot them! They're invaders who oppress the Palestinian people," Zawaq ordered.

"What?!" one Arab soldier exclaimed in shock.

"It's better to reduce their numbers now than to let more die later," Zawaq argued.

"Zawaq, we're only here to take their truck. No need for more violence," another Arab soldier countered.

The Arab soldiers boarded the truck with Zawaq, leaving the four Israhell soldiers lying on the road. The truck sped through the streets of Israhell.

One of the Arab soldiers peeked out the window and saw several Israhell soldiers running at incredible speed, almost matching the truck's pace.

"We're being chased by Israhell super soldiers!" shouted the Arab soldier.

"Zawaq! Help us fend them off!" the driver pleaded.

An Arab soldier handed a Lee Enfield Mk 3 rifle to Zawaq. He climbed through the roof hatch and aimed at the approaching soldiers.

The Israhell soldiers transformed from human shapes into monstrous beings covered in sharp metal spikes. They ran at breakneck speed.

The driver floored the gas pedal, but the experimental Israhell soldiers kept pace effortlessly.

Zawaq shot one in the face, but a single bullet wasn't enough to stop it. He unleashed a barrage of shots, focusing on the soldier before shifting his aim to others. The bullets bounced off their armored, spiked bodies.

"I'm out of bullets! I need a new magazine!" Zawaq called out.

An Arab soldier handed him a fresh magazine. One of the Israhell experimental soldiers leaped onto the truck roof, standing next to Zawaq.

The soldier thrust its spiked arm at Zawaq's chest. Zawaq grabbed its leg and threw it off the roof, sending it crashing into its comrades.

Another experimental soldier climbed onto the truck's rear. Zawaq retrieved the Lee Enfield Mk 3, aimed at the soldier's face, and fired repeatedly until its head was obliterated. The soldier's lifeless body tumbled onto the road.

"The path is clear! Zawaq took down the Israhell super soldiers!" an Arab soldier announced.

"It's not over!!!" Zawaq shouted.

Three helicopters appeared in pursuit of the truck. Each helicopter carried two Israhell experimental soldiers armed with tank-like cannons mounted on their shoulders.

They fired at the truck, missing but causing explosions that brought down chunks of buildings, blocking the road behind the truck.

The Arab soldier driver navigated erratically, weaving through narrow alleys to lose the helicopters.

The Israhell helicopters remained relentless. The Arab soldiers and Zawaq fired at one, hitting it but not enough to bring it down.

Zawaq focused on the cockpit, firing until the bullets pierced the control panel. The helicopter lost control and crashed into a nearby building.

Two helicopters remained. The Arab soldiers fought fiercely, returning fire.

One of the experimental soldiers transformed its arms into massive cannons.

"Watch out!!! Everyone get inside! Narrow path ahead!!!" the Arab driver shouted.

All the Arab soldiers and Zawaq ducked inside the truck as it entered a tight alleyway barely wide enough for the vehicle.
