Chapter 24

Ebony Maw remained still.

The battlefield was in chaos—Asgardian warships clashed with the Chitauri, divine energy colliding with advanced weaponry in a spectacular display of destruction.

Explosions lit up the void like dying stars, while energy beams and lightning turned the battlefield into a maelstrom of power.

But Ebony Maw?

He barely reacted.

The Aesir were nothing.

Odin?

A relic of the past.

His master—The Anomaly—was beyond anything Asgard could comprehend.

His confidence was unshaken.

And yet—

The Asgardians were pushing forward.

Because of their arrival through the Rainbow Bridge, they had bypassed many of the Dark Quadrant's outer defenses, appearing deep within the core territories.

Chitauri war fleets had barely finished repositioning when the first wave of Asgardian forces landed.

Millions of Aesir warriors descended in pillars of golden light, crashing into the main capital of the Dark Quadrant.

The battle had reached its boiling point.

---

Odin stood atop the command deck of his flagship, gazing down at the battlefield.

His silver-white armor gleamed under the fading light of distant stars, his single eye cold and unreadable.

His presence alone made the battlefield tremble.

And when he finally spoke—

His voice was everywhere.

"I seek the one who killed Thanos."

The name boomed across the battlefield, laced with divine power.

"Step forward."

The words carried across space itself, traveling past the noise of battle, past the chaos.

His divine will shook the capital itself.

There was no hesitation.

Odin had not come to challenge a ghost.

He had seen it all—through Heimdall's all-seeing eyes, he had watched as Thanos fell.

And he had seen something else.

Odin's grip on Gungnir tightened as he gazed down upon the Dark Quadrant.

"You have not only slain Thanos…"

His voice darkened.

"You have slaughtered the Dwarves of Nidavellir."

A heavy silence fell over the battlefield.

The Chitauri barely reacted. They cared nothing for the Dwarves.

But to the Aesir—this was an insult beyond measure.

Odin's single eye burned with fury.

"The Dwarves forged the weapons of the gods."

"Their hands built the legacy of Asgard."

"They were under my protection."

His gaze became piercing.

"You have taken what was mine. Now, I have come to take what is yours."

A quiet rage rolled off him like a storm, divine power swirling through the space around him.

There was no diplomacy.

No warning.

Only vengeance.

---

Thor, standing beside his father, suddenly pointed toward the main palace.

"Father! There!"

Odin focused his gaze.

From ten thousand meters away, his divine sight pierced through the battlefield—

And he saw Ebony Maw standing on the palace steps.

There was no hesitation.

Odin raised his hand.

A brilliant spear of pure light formed in his palm.

He spoke no words.

He simply threw it.

A streak of silver-white tore through the sky.

It vanished.

Then—

It reappeared above Ebony Maw.

Faster than thought. Faster than sound.

Ebony Maw's eyes widened.

Before he could react—

The spear struck.

---

A deafening impact shattered the palace steps.

Ebony Maw's body was impaled instantly, nailed to the ground like an insect on a spear.

A choked gasp left his lips as his body twitched violently.

Divine power coursed through him, burning his very soul.

His fingers trembled—his mind screamed—his vision blurred.

His mouth opened to speak—

And blood poured out instead.

The battlefield froze.

The Chitauri forces staggered, momentarily stunned by what they had just witnessed.

Ebony Maw—the most cunning of Thanos' generals—had been struck down instantly.

And above it all, standing atop his warship, Odin watched with a gaze as cold as the void.

"It is a privilege," Odin murmured, "to be slain by Gungnir."

His voice was emotionless.

Then—

He raised his hand once more.

And another spear began to form.

The battle was far from over.
