Once long ago, this land was filled and roamed by creatures. Mermaids swam the sea, fairies roamed the forests, and dungeons were even lairs for these creatures. Olden people would try to reason with these beasts for trade, peace, and unison. But all of that changed when that peace was broken, a small misunderstanding broke into a war leading to the downfall of creatures. some people still believe these creatures are out there, hiding away, while others believe they never existed in the first place. But all that changed when people started showing signs of power, people shifted, changed, grew. Becoming the creatures some longed to see and others hated. The powerful gas that did this still lays unknown to everyone. but that fateful day. When that spell descended on the earth. They combined.

present day: April 23, 2098,

We head over to our main character, a young woman that never received any ability from the creatures that now are shown throughout society. Kumiko was a 17 year old with long white hair and red eyes, she was tough but since she didn't have any abilities of her own. She was subjected to torture from her classmates at the heroes academy. She hated being casted out and only wanted to help her parents. Her mother never had an ability either, a rare mutation in their bloodline alone. She had a couple friends in recot high but not many. We head over to her, entering school grounds

As I walked along the path of the school grounds, I suffer constant harassment from my classmates. It feels like everything is ever try for will just be shot down by this society. I ignore the stares and the vulgar words that come from them as I walk into the building I call my school. Walking the halls wasn't as bad as long as I avoided one particular person. Zeno. Zeno was your average spoiled brat, he may look good but that attitude doesn't fool me. His creature is a spirit fox. He uses that fox to torment everyone that isn't on his side, forcing the school to basically bow at his feet. Spirit foxes are rare and contain mana above a lot of other creatures. As for me? I'm his main target. He doesn't believe I belong here and constantly tries to get me to leave. To hide. To run...his level is insane as well. Sitting at a higher level than anyone at the school. 152. He used that fact to his advantage all the time

As I walked, I kept thinking about this fact but that's when I hit into a chest. Falling to the ground with a thud. I hesitated to look up, I didn't want to look up. I already knew who I was going to see. Zeno.

I looked up and sure enough, there he was, he glared down at me with his sage eyes. He ran a hand through his short black hair. He was built well for being the at the top of the school even if he was a bully. I calmly stared back. I don't give a damn if he was going to hit me, shout at me, or anything else. I never give him the satisfaction of giving up. No-one ever got anywhere by giving up. His spirit fox sat on his shoulder. Expressing the same attitude as him.

Zeno: watch where your going brat. You should know better to move out of my way when you see me coming down the damn hall.

I calmly stood up, not making a face and keeping my calm deminor. I picked up the book I dropped and apparently, not saying anything and staying calm was the wrong move. Zeno got pissed that I just ignored his words and I got hit by a blast of mana. It cut my face but I stood there. He couldn't hurt me or make me yell out even if he tried and I knew that. Zeno glared at me before one of his lackeys tapped his shoulder. The principal didn't tolerate bullying at all. He was coming down the hall but he hadn't seen what had just happened. The principals level was 347 and nobody knows what his creature even is. When they spotted him, zeno just walked around me, putting his hands in his pockets as his lackeys followed him.

I rolled my eyes and continued walking down the hall, my cheek bleeding slightly. The bell still hasn't run when I got to my class. Luckily for me, my two childhood friends were in this class with me. As soon as I sat down Yuri spoke up, a worried tone coming from her.

Yuri: oh my god, kumi! Are you okay!?

Kumiko: touching the gash on her cheek yeah Im fine, it's just a scratch

Yuri: that seems like more than a scratch she glared at me

I zoned out while she was lecturing me on my safety for the fifth time this week. I looked at her, her medium length brown hair shined like normal. I really need to get her routine I thought. Her sky blue eyes kept glaring at me as she spoke. Her outfit was cute today though. A summer dress with a cute matching jacket. She reached out and touched my cheek, healing it with a green glow. Yuri was a healer fairy, healer fairies aren't that rare despite their amazing talents. I looked up as tex walked up to the table. Hugo was my other childhood friend and I still have a feeling he likes Yuri. He was taller than average but not by much. Tex was a tiger hybrid, he had short orange hair and near black eyes with two black lines on his face. He was trying to become a boxer and he had the skills and body type to do it. He pulled up a chair and Yuri started chatting with him. Yuri and tex were both at level 21. A lower level compared to some others in the school. I can't complain though since my level has been at level 3 ever since I was young. I looked up when I heard Yuri mention my name.

Yuri: I still think kumiko has a creature!

Tex: wouldn't it have shown itself already if she did. I mean I don't mind she doesn't have a creature but c'mon Yuri. Be real.

Kumiko: I don't mind. Let her dream. Fairies have wild imaginations, let her have this one I chuckled, watching Yuri stick her tongue out at tex

Tex: oh I might break that imagination if you do that again

Tex was being playful like always so that was good.

Yuri: Tex. Kumiko got into another altercation!

Tex: what? Again? Are you okay?

Kumiko: yeah I'm fine

Yuri: stop saying that

Kumiko: it's fine, really I'm okay

Tex: you know. Kumiko in know you cant feel pain but at least try to stick up for yourself

Kumiko: you know damn good and well it will be worse for me if I did. I'm not going to give them that satisfaction

Yuri: well at le-

The bell rang. Cutting Yuri off as class started. That day seemed normal. I went through school like usual. I get good grades here depite not having a creature so classes are pretty easy for me. The day went by pretty quickly after that however. Before I knew it, the final bell rang and school let out for the day. I gathered my things and left, avoiding zeno and his gang of suck ups as I left. I walked out of campus, Yuri and tex were going to an after school program today so I had to walk alone. Instead of going home I went out of the city limits towards the place I always went to be alone. I took a different path to get there today so it would take longer for me to get there unfortunately. As I walked, something creeped me out. Suddenly the ground under me caved in..... everything went black.
