The End of the Assassin

Chapter 47: The End of the Assassin

As the battlefield was ready, Kim Han group and Daijin group where ready as well and then from the Tenshii Stronghold the Soldiers of Tenshii came forward to attack them , and now the final battle begans

The battlefield was a storm of steel and blood. Yeon led the initial assault, her gunfire cracking through the chaos as Kim Han's group tore through Tenshi's forces like a tempest. The Kisaragi and Daijin's warriors fought desperately, pushing back against overwhelming numbers.

But then came the real threat.

Renji moved like a ghost through the battlefield, weaving between falling bodies, his crimson eyes locked onto one target—Daijin. He was the predator. Daijin, the prey.

Daijin saw him coming. He didn't flinch.

"You've been running long enough," Renji said, his voice cold as death. "This time, I finish what I started."

Daijin exhaled, his grip tightening around his sword. "I don't run from dead men."

Renji smirked, then lunged.

The Duel of Shadows

The world shrank to just the two of them. The sounds of battle faded, drowned by the ringing of clashing steel. Renji was fast—too fast. His blade struck like lightning, forcing Daijin to parry with every ounce of skill he had.

Renji feinted left, then spun right, his blade slicing toward Daijin's throat. Daijin barely ducked, countering with a slash toward Renji's ribs. Renji twisted mid-air, evading by inches.

"You're better than last time," Renji admitted. "But not good enough."

He struck again, this time breaking through Daijin's guard. A shallow cut opened along Daijin's side, blood dripping onto the dirt.

Daijin gritted his teeth. He couldn't let Renji control the fight.

He changed his rhythm—switching from defense to relentless offense. He attacked with everything he had, pushing Renji back. Their blades clashed in a deadly dance, sparks flying, their movements blurring together.

Then, Renji made a mistake.

A slight misstep—barely noticeable.

But for Daijin, it was all he needed.

He struck like a viper, his blade slashing across Renji's chest, cutting deep. Renji staggered, blood spilling from the wound.

"You—" Renji's voice wavered, his arrogance cracking.

Daijin didn't let him recover.

He grabbed Renji by the collar, yanked him forward, and plunged his sword straight through Renji's stomach.

Renji's eyes widened in shock. Blood bubbled from his lips. His hands weakly gripped Daijin's arm, as if trying to push him away.

Daijin twisted the blade.

Renji gasped, his body convulsing. For the first time, there was fear in his eyes.

Daijin leaned in, his voice low and merciless. "You should've killed me when you had the chance."

With a violent pull, he ripped the sword free, tearing through Renji's body.

Renji fell to his knees, blood pooling beneath him. He looked up at Daijin one last time, as if trying to say something—but no words came. Then, his body collapsed.

Renji was dead.

Daijin stood over the lifeless assassin, breathing heavily. The battle around him still raged, but he felt none of it.

One threat was gone.

Now, only one remained.

He turned toward the heart of the battlefield—where Kim Han was waiting for his final battle.
