Chapter 31: Earth Guardian!

When that attack had hit he had wanted to activate the ability of the Eye of Order but he had failed instead he felt like his eyes were about to explode and blood started leaking from his eyes.

Right now his eyes had reverted to their original black and he could no longer activate the Eye of Order.

He turned his head slightly and Luna instantly paled the moment she saw his face. Trails of blood trailed down his face like tears and his originally starry eyes had completely dimmed, while the irises of his eyes had cracks.

Luna hastily rushed forward hugging his back from behind while trying to infuse her magic power into his body she wanted to use the power of her moon radiance to help him recover.

Drake was quite surprised when he looked at Lunas face, instead of the supreme beauty that he had always seen what stood before him was a slightly less beautiful face, anyone who saw her right now would only consider her an 80 at most

Even though she was still a beauty, she couldnt be compared to the heavenly fairy he had been seeing earlier. Just as he wanted to say a few words, his nervous system gave out and he lost consciousness.

When Hector saw his condition, he pointed at Drake and a small earthen dragon crawled out of the ground and wrapped itself around him, and earthen yellow energy was released from it into Drakes body to help stabilize his condition.

Luna still did not release him despite this.

Derek was shocked.

Even though none of those attacks had been done using his full strength, the last one contained 70% of his full power.

Yet this guy had blocked it as easily as though it were nothing but a tree shrugging of the attempts of an ant trying to shake it.

That meant this guy was definitely stronger than him in fact the gap between their power level must be huge.

6 Star mage!

This guy is definitely at the very least a powerful 6 star mage, he could even be 7 star!

The thought frightened Derek! He himself was only a 5 star mage. How the hell was he suppose to fight a 6 star mage talk less of 7 star.

He threatened, Who are you! are you sure you want to get involved in the Sullivan familys business? this was the only thing he could do right now.

There was no way he could fight against a 6 star or 7 star mage, they were simply not on the same level fighting against someone on that level was simply tantamount to courting death. He could only bring out King Sullivan's name to deter this stranger.

The next second the Hector made a grabbing motion with his one hand and two arm thick earth dragons burst forth from the ground beneath Dereks feet and quickly wrapping themselves around the mans arms, legs and torso.

No matter how much he struggled he could not resist the earth dragons and when they wrapped around his body he was completely restrained.

The part that scared him the most was that earth attribute energy had invaded his body and was restraining his magic energy. He could not use his magic power.

The earth dragons squeeze tightened around Derek and cracking noises could be heard from his bones causing him to scream out in pain.

You are not putting the house of Sullivan in your eyes? he cried frantically.

Hector Snorted, House of Sullivan? Even if King Sullivan himself were here, he would not dare talk to me with disrespect.

Derek was terrified, Who are you? he asked, seeing how indifferent the Earth mage was even at the mention of King Sullivan.

You can call me Earth Guardian! Hector said lowly.

As a senior you bully the younger generation with your stronger cultivation, have you no shame? Also not only have you broken the rules set by the Tribunal and attacked a person with magic power in Sanctuary city, you dare to try and commit murder! All just because you think they dont have anyone to stand up for them? Hector was about to punish him when several powerful auras appeared to be rushing in this direction.

Humph, the city guards are late as usual. He snorted than turned back to Derek. Lucky for you their backing has arrived or I would punish you myself!

With a wave of his hand Derek was thrown to the ground, and he turned to the crowd.

As he left the image on his back was displayed for all to see, it was the picture of a chess piece a Pawn!

An hour later Drake was in a hospital bed.

Lunas security team and the city guard had arrived not too long after Hector had left. They were terrified when they found out everything that had happened after interrogating a few people.

They could not believe that Kaizer and Derek could be so reckless as to attempt murder in broad daylight.

Whats worse their young miss was right at the middle of it, they could not help but heave sighs of relief that nothing had happened to the young miss.

As for Prince Kaizer and Derek, they had already up and left a long time ago.

Chief Ross sat in his office reading the report of the days earlier events.

He had been shocked earlier when he had walked into the barracks only to be told that the kids of some politicians nearly got themselves killed in the Star line amusement park.

It wasnt the first time that interactions between young mages broke out into fights, in fact every year during the Mage academy entrance exam there would be one or two cases of impulsive adolescents breaking the rules of Sanctuary city and starting fights.

It couldnt be helped. That is what you get when you give impulsive teenagers guns and let them run around unchecked.

Everybody wants to show off the power of their new toy, especially the ones trying to attract the attention of the opposite sex.

Of course when this happens competition starts. Next thing you know someone is getting suppressed.

And how do they show their mettle?

They start shooting each other the instant they get emotional.

That is why this time of year was when things were most hectic for the city guards. Even though there were many city guards, Sanctuary city was also very big, they would always be stretched thin with incident after incident breaking out all over the city.

He had also thought it was a similar case and he was right, but if he was right then what could possibly shock him.

It wasnt what happened. No, it was the ones involved.

One name in particular caused him to quiver and his face to pale in fear.

'Earth Guardian!'

According to the records they had gathered, the first person to call himself a guardian appeared three years ago, at that time there were two people dressed similarly to the Earth Guardian that had arrived in sanctuary city.

What brought them to Sanctuary city no one knew, but while they were at a restaurant a fight had broken out between two kids that were participating in the mage entrance exam, for something about one of them harassing the others sister.

He tried to defend his sisters honor and beat is opponent. But his opponent was a sore loser, he called his dad who was so enraged he attacked first. Who knew the kid had an influential background?

He stripped the kids sister naked and cut her all over then hung her in the middle of the street to let her bleed out and started torturing the kid in public. It was only now that the two outsiders got involved.

Their performance was mouth watering!

Recordings showed that with only one of them attacked, and with one punch the raging father a powerful 6 star mage was sent flying out of the city. Once he was outside the mage followed behind.

Only one person fought against him.

What followed was what you would call a complete beat down.

Swords and spears fell from the sky that day and the boys father who had transformed into a fifty meter tall barbaric giant was quickly cut down to size.

What truly terrified the people was that even though the two fighting were both 6 star mages, the kids father was completely suppressed to the point that he could not even fight back.

Meanwhile, the other guy looked like he was only waving his hands. Yet, every wave of his hand caused weapons with terrifying sharpness to cut through the giant.

There would have been an execution that day, but as soon as Sanctuary citys guards showed up the Weapon specialist immediately stopped attacking.

The city guards were merely 3 star mages, but the two outsiders were very respectful to them and willingly let the city guards take the man away

When the city guard Commander asked for their identitys they didnt give names merely titles, they called themselves the Weapon specialist and Illusion Guardians.

They had left a deep impression on everybody that day.

Who knew the very next year there would be another person calling themselves a guardian appearing in Sanctuary city.

This time he was up against two Dark Kings.

The Dark kings were powerful seven star mages from the Dark faction, they were as powerful as they were brutal and it was thanks to this brutality that they had provoked the Guardian.

Like the previous two, the first thing he did was force the Dark Kings out of the city but once they were outside flames burned the sky so powerfully that it was like a second sun had appeared in the sky

Flames covered a hundred miles outside Sanctuary city, massive craters were formed and the land was destroyed..

When he fought it was like he was up against someone that killed his Father he was as wild as a flame devil. As he bravely faced up against the two Dark Kings, even though he was only a 6 star mage and he was up against two 7 star mages, he still forced them back and was soon suppressing them.

This shocked everyone that was watching, but what happened next shocked them even more, sanctuary citys city guards appeared.

At that instant before they could reach the battlefield the fire mages power suddenly seemed to multiply several times over and he quickly dealt with both the Kings.

He had been holding back all that time just to prolong the fight. A single thought instantly came to all their minds.

A true Battle junkie!.

Once they were defeated he immediately drew back all his power and respectfully left them to the city guards.

There was soon a rumor hat the guardians worked for the Tribunal but this was soon purged after the Tribunal claimed they knew nothing about the guardians and their affiliations.

Everyone started to have a thought in their minds. What if all the Guardians had the same power level wouldnt that be terrifying?

What organization did these guardians belong to? For them to be so powerful their organization must be extremely powerful.

Now another guardian had appeared

A vehicle pulled up in a villas parking area and a guard opened the door from outside.

Welcome back Miss. was your return trip safe? the guard asked in a womans gentle voice. It was evident that the woman cared very much about Lunas well being.

She was the head of Lunas guards appointed by the misss father. She had been furious when she heard about everything that had happened while Luna was out.

She had only let Luna out of the house without her because Luna had asked her to stay home, that she wanted to go out alone. She had watched Luna grow up and treated the young miss as she would her own child. Since Luna was young she almost never asked for anything, so she thought she should comply and let the young miss out for a bit, just this once.

Who knew all this would happen on the one day she decided to le the young miss out of her sight?

These guys! Thanks to their ignorance they put the young miss so close to danger, just you wait till I get my hands on you. She thought.

It was very nice, thank you Martha.. Luna smiled and said to the middle aged woman.

Thats good. Martha nodded gently quite relieved.

Luna suddenly added, Martha please dont be too hard on Markus and the others. They really did their best out there and they only let me out of their sight because I forced them to. And nothing happened to me, so please go easy on them.

Martha was quiet for a few seconds but then when she saw the pleading look in Lunas eyes she nodded slowly, I understand.

The guard who was driving the car couldnt help but feel grateful to the young miss. We wont be able to escape responsibility, but at least with the young miss helping us at least it will lighten the punishment. He thought.

Luna soon returned to her room, after the days events she did not know how to feel.

She had gone out without expecting any excitement from this outing yet it had been an absolute roller coaster filled with all kinds of ups and downs.

As she sat in front of her mirror in her room a light glow was emitted from her skin and her somewhat beautiful features began to slowly morph until an absolute world ending beauty was presented.

This was the true Luna!

When she looked at her reflection, she remembered everything she and Drake had done in just the two hours the were together and a smile crept up her lips,

I wonder what that shameless fellow would say if he saw my face now. She thought.

What she did not know was that the Eye of Order had long seen through her disguise!

it was so beautiful that the maid standing behind her was stunned.

Young miss seems happy!

To be honest, Luna hadnt really thought about anything when he had first claimed her as his girlfriend. Left for her they were just having fun but after the events of today she couldnt help but wish it was all true. But she forcefully shook her head free of all her fantasies.

Reality was full of disappointment and this was her reality. The sooner she accepted that the better. She tried to remind herself. Yet, what she didnt know was that, no matter how much she told this to herself she already had Drakes figure carved into her heart, and it was a mark that she could never erase!
