From streets to destiny

Chapter One: From the Streets to Destiny

Ali Khan had always known struggle. Born and raised in the rough neighborhoods of Brooklyn, New York, he had spent his entire life surrounded by poverty. His father, Raza Khan, worked as a taxi driver, spending long nights on the road, barely making enough to cover rent and food. His mother, Saira, worked shifts at a local diner, coming home exhausted but always managing to put a warm meal on the table.

Ali saw their sacrifices. He saw his father's tired eyes, his mother's aching hands, and the unpaid bills piling up on the kitchen counter. He wanted more for them—for himself.

He worked part-time as a delivery boy for a food app, riding his old bicycle through the city, delivering to people who lived in glass towers, their tables covered in luxury. Why them? Why not him?

At night, he attended community college, juggling classes and work, but deep down, he knew it wouldn't be enough. Hard work wasn't a guarantee for success—if it was, his parents wouldn't be struggling.

To make things worse, his girlfriend, Natasha, had been acting distant lately. She barely replied to his texts, and when she did, it was with short, uninterested messages. Something felt off.

One night, exhausted from a double shift, Ali walked home through the cold streets. The neon lights of New York flickered around him, illuminating a city filled with millionaires and billionaires—people who had everything while he had nothing.

He sighed and looked up at the sky. "If there's a way out of this life… I need it now."

And then, it happened.

A golden screen suddenly flashed before his eyes, glowing in the darkness.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host! The Divine Wealth System has been activated!]

Ali stopped in his tracks, his breath hitching. "W-What the hell?"

The screen floated in mid-air, covered in golden symbols that pulsed with energy.

"I am the Divine Wealth System, here to change your fate!" a voice echoed in his mind. "Complete my tasks, and you shall rise from rags to riches beyond your imagination!"

Ali's hands trembled. His life had been ordinary—painfully ordinary. But this? This was something out of a fantasy.

Was this real? Or was he finally losing his mind?

But something in his gut told him… this was just the beginning.
