Breaking Limits

Chapter Eleven: Breaking Limits

Ali woke up to the soft hum of his laptop, still open from last night. His body ached from sleeping in his chair, but his mind was sharper than ever.

There was no time to rest.

He glanced at his Shopify dashboard.

Total profit so far: $42,700

He was getting closer to his $100,000 goal, but it wasn't happening fast enough.

Ali knew what had to be done—he needed to go all in.

Scaling NovaNest: A High-Stakes Gamble

Ali dialed Daniel immediately.

Ali: "Increase our ad budget to $3,000 a day."

Daniel: "Are you sure? That's risky."

Ali: "I don't care. If we want to hit six figures, we can't hold back."

Daniel hesitated, then sighed. "Alright. But if this backfires…"

Ali smirked. "It won't."

With higher ad spend, their reach expanded. NovaNest products started popping up everywhere—Facebook, TikTok, Instagram. Influencers began reviewing them. Sales skyrocketed.

Within one week, Ali's profits doubled.

Total profit so far: $85,300

He was almost there.

The Café's Success & Expansion

Just as Ali was about to check his next ad campaign, his phone buzzed.

It was his father, Raza.

Raza: "Ali, I have great news."

Ali: "What happened, Dad?"

Raza: "The café is finally making solid profits. Customers love our food, and we're getting a lot of regulars."

Ali leaned back, smiling. "That's amazing, Dad."

Raza: "I was thinking… maybe it's time to expand. We've been so busy that I can barely handle everything alone. We should hire extra staff."

Ali nodded, his mind already racing. "That's a great idea. Hire a chef and a couple of waiters. Also, let's upgrade the seating and add a coffee machine—people love good coffee."

Raza: "You're serious?"

Ali: "Of course. We need to turn this café into a real business."

His father chuckled, pride evident in his voice. "I never thought I'd see the day my son became a businessman."

Ali grinned. This was just the beginning.

A Home Worthy of His Parents

That night, as Ali sat on his laptop again, his focus wasn't on sales.

Instead, he was scrolling through apartment listings.

Their current home in Brooklyn was too small, too old, too broken down. His mother deserved better. His father deserved better.

They needed a fresh start.

At dinner, he finally brought it up.

Ali: "Mom, Dad… I've been thinking. We should move to a better place."

His mother, Ayesha, looked up in surprise. "Ali, we can't afford that right now."

Ali met her gaze. "We can. I've been earning well."

His father frowned. "You mean from that online thing?"

Ali nodded. "Yes. I've made almost $85,000 in profit already. Soon, it'll be over $100,000."

His mother gasped, while his father's eyes widened in shock.

Raza: "$85,000? Ali… this isn't something illegal, right?"

Ali exhaled, prepared for this reaction. "No, Dad. It's completely legal. I run an online business. I sell products, and people buy them. That's all."

His father rubbed his temples. "And you're sure it's stable?"

Ali smiled. "It's just the beginning. Soon, I'll make even more."

His mother hesitated. "But moving is a big step, Ali. This place… it's home."

Ali looked around at the cracked walls, the old furniture, the tiny kitchen where his mother spent hours cooking.

This wasn't the home they deserved.

Ali: "Mom… I know we've lived here for years. But don't you want a better place? A bigger kitchen, a proper dining area, a home where you don't have to worry about things breaking?"

Ayesha's eyes softened. "Of course, I do."

Ali smiled. "Then let me take care of it."

His father remained silent for a moment, then finally nodded. "Alright, son. If you think it's the right thing… we trust you."

Ali felt something shift inside him. This was real. He was changing their lives.

Now, he just had to make it happen.

Ali's pulse quickened.
