Chapter Eight

There's no single moment without Chikeliuba thinking about Ifunanya, each time a woman passes, he would grab one or two attributes she possessed. Only him knows the type of passion, love made if rock he is cracking, and one thing is certain, he was fond of everything that concerns his passion for Ifunanya. If it is easy, he would have concealed it, if it is difficult he swallow it. There were many events that took place at the site that tried as much as possible to reduce the passion to just fling of life, time, and activities. But he dare them all, hit them with sledgehammer of hope, he believed that his courage will never fail him, he believed it, even when the whole passion became martyrdom, he would be there till the of end time. "Ifunanya and I have nothing, except love! Prince Charles and Princess Diana have everything, except love"! He recalled. They didn't have hope on love but I do, and I accepted in my entire life that hope is the heaviest weight a man can carry. It is the bane of the idealist. The same to love, it is the most controversial passion on earth, still it is the only idea that grows the entire world". Chikeliuba emphasized.

There is weird feelings with Ifunanya, however, anyone who filled his or her mind with negative thoughts, must acknowledge that, there's despair feelings in the closet of the mind. And whoever that filled the mind with optimism, must acknowledge that hope is in the closet of the mind, they are all choice that produces itself. Ifunanya reiterated. She continued, "I fear that Chikeliuba might dump me to another woman, he could meet in the town that surrounded the mining site. There are many beautiful women who chase the gold miners. But whatever the case maybe, I will sacrifice to be who I am, become better my old self and hold onto our love, because hope is a passion for the possibility to embrace unknown. I hope that he is coming back to me dead or alive". She proclaimed. However, how she feels seems to influence Chikeliuba, because sometimes when they close work, his colleagues will go out to search for fun, interacting with beautiful women that led to love business is part of it. But Chikeliuba never tried it, each time he wished to catch fun, he would feel guilty, certainly of cheating her. The only companion he has in regard is hope that one day, he will reunite with her. Indeed, Ifunanya encouraged herself with her normal slogan, "Chikeliuba; I look for you". Nevertheless, the feelings is electrifying and terrifying, threatening and speechless. But, I hope love will bring him back!". Ifunanya concluded. "I have compensated myself for being here, for that disappointment". Said Dona Udoba. He continued, I really, don't know if you do too? Being here for some fun, is dearly. "Yes, that bar is a barrier between people and bad day, I fondly sensed that", Kaodilichukwu returned.

"I was like who is this man with expressive natural hope. That music the bar man was playing, is a gold in America. It is America that made the woman". Dona Udoba revealed.

"Did you know her name?" Kaodilichukwu asked.

"Yes, an African American. Her name is Tracey Chapman. She was raised by hope, because where people got sick talking about where she raised. He said.

"The song is evergreen, that track I picked up the title, and few words she said about sweet lazy life, champagne and caviar. The title is Mountain o' things. The voice is genuinely dramatic". He returned to Dona Udoba.

"I appreciate your smartness to have picked up few things from the music but the music is full of everything you can think in life, though it demands attention. Very much awesome and awareness.I picked few things as well, because the music is full of inspiration. I heard, 'save my soul'. I heard, 'keep all my enemies away', keep my sadness and loneliness at bay', and 'this is the dream'. It is extraordinary. But there is another thing I picked in it that is like camel passing through the eye of a needle. 'Renounce all those material things you gained by exploiting other human beings'. Is what she said possible?" Kaodilichukwu asked. "Another inspirational thing I picked, came when she said, 'good people are only my stepping stones'. Tracy Chapman is a gold in America and African pride. Said he. "Anyway, well said, the soul observes. Said, Dona Udoba.

"After work, that bar, would always shelter me. I am about to loose hope, when we couldn't fine any piece of gold today but that natural bar, healed my doubt". Kaodilichukwu revealed.

"Well said, I remembered smiling with the bar man from bench, and he smiled at me from his bench. I can say I know more than one Daddy Celebrant. He present the bar, to restore people's hope, through fun. Because, the music speaks volume. Just like bar owned by Daddy Celebrant". Dona Udoba affirmed.

When they left the bar, to go back, they looked at the sign board to grab the name of the bar. By noble learned people and rational minds, the name is the most extraordinary name ever. "All that you have is your soul", is the name. It is a great good fortune, is it not?" Kaodilichukwu asked.

"Yes indeed, it is, no doubt, it is awfully inspired. Though Tracey Chapman's music explained why it was given such name. Dona Udoba said.

Since, they couldn't find any gold for the whole day work, everyone whined about the failure, perhaps, according to their respective brave figures. And, perhaps, they have finally reunited to continue the search for gold. Indeed, Mazi Chetechi didn't go out, he was busy reading the book titled, "The Pearl" and most of the challenges they had ever faced reoccured in the book. He whispered silently, "everything and tricks in the book at end, it is our life". But, one thing is certain, the man, named Kino, wore garment of hope and continued searching for the pearl until he found it. The story suggested to him to rally his colleagues to the mining site and continued searching for gold. Since misfortune makes people wise, and the most future outstanding is optimism".
