Chapter 11: The Big Game

The day of the big game finally arrived! Bella woke up feeling excited but nervous. She wanted to support Donald more than ever. She knew this game against Jake's team was super important.

At breakfast, Bella's mom asked, "Are you ready for the game today?"

"I am! But I'm a little scared," Bella admitted, fiddling with her toast.

"Just cheer your heart out! He'll feel your support," her mom said with a smile.

"Yeah, I'll do my best!" Bella replied, feeling a bit more confident.

Later that day, Bella met Sarah outside the stadium. "You ready for this?" Sarah asked, bouncing with excitement.

"I think so! I just hope Donald plays well," Bella said, biting her lip.

As they walked into the stadium, they could hear the crowd cheering. Bella's heart raced. She spotted Donald warming up with his teammates. He looked focused, and she felt a mix of pride and worry.

"Look! There's Mike!" Sarah pointed. Mike waved and jogged over. "Hey, you two! Ready to cheer?"

"Absolutely! Go, team!" Bella shouted, raising her hands.

As they took their seats, Bella scanned the crowd. She saw Jake's team warming up on the other side. Jake was acting cocky, laughing with his teammates. Bella felt a surge of anger. "Ugh, I can't stand him!" she said, crossing her arms.

"Just focus on Donald. He needs your support!" Sarah encouraged, nudging her.

The game started, and the tension was electric. The whistle blew, and the players sprang into action. Bella watched as Donald ran down the field, dodging opponents. He looked so determined.

"Go, Donald! You got this!" Bella shouted, her voice ringing out.

But then, Jake intercepted the ball and sprinted toward Donald. Bella felt her heart drop. "No! Come on, Donald!"

Donald chased after Jake, but Jake was fast. As they neared the goal, Jake kicked the ball hard. It soared past Tom, the goalkeeper, and into the net. The crowd erupted in cheers.

"Ugh! No!" Bella exclaimed, feeling frustrated.

"Stay calm! It's just the first half!" Sarah said, trying to reassure her.

The game continued, and the score was now 1-0. Bella could see Donald was upset. He kept glancing at Bella, and she gave him a thumbs-up, trying to encourage him.

During halftime, the team gathered around Coach Harris. Bella and Sarah watched as Coach Harris spoke passionately. "You guys need to step it up! We can't let Amazon city FC intimidate us! Play for each other!"

Donald nodded, his eyes fierce with determination. Bella felt a spark of hope. "He's gonna turn this around!" she said to Sarah.

As the second half began, the energy shifted. Donald played with more intensity. He tackled hard, passed perfectly, and even took a shot at the goal. But Jake was right there, blocking him at every turn.

"Come on, Donald! Don't let him get to you!" Bella shouted, waving her arms.

With only ten minutes left on the clock, the score was still Amazon City F.C 1-0 Obisports F.C. Bella's heart raced. She could see the tension in Donald's face. "You can do this!" she yelled, feeling desperate.

Then, in a moment of magic, Donald got the ball. He dribbled past two defenders and headed toward the goal. Bella held her breath, her heart pounding.

"Shoot, Donald! Shoot!" she screamed.

He took a deep breath and kicked the ball. It soared toward the net! But then, Jake lunged and tried to block it. Bella gasped. Would he make it?

The ball flew past Jake and into the goal! The stadium erupted in cheers! "YES! GO, DONALD!" Bella screamed, jumping up and down.

Donald ran to the sidelines, pumping his fists in the air. He looked directly at Bella, and their eyes locked. She felt a rush of happiness. They were back on track! Amazon City F.C 1-1 Obisports F.C

But just as the game resumed, Bella noticed Jake fuming on the field. He was clearly angry and ready to retaliate. Bella felt a chill run down her spine. What would Jake do next?

As the game continued, Jake played aggressively. He pushed and shoved, trying to get back at Donald. Bella held her breath, worried that Jake would hurt him.

Then, out of nowhere, Jake charged at Donald. Bella shouted, "Watch out!" but it was too late. Jake tackled Donald hard, sending him crashing to the ground.

"Foul!" the referee blew the whistle, but the damage was done. Donald lay on the ground, clutching his knee.

Bella felt her heart stop. "No! Donald!" she cried, jumping out of her seat.

Coach Harris rushed onto the field, and so did Tom, Ryan, and Mike. Bella felt panic rise as they surrounded Donald. Would he be okay?

"Get up, man! You have to keep playing!" Mike shouted, but Donald looked pale.

Bella pushed through the crowd, reaching Donald. "Are you okay? Please, talk to me!" she said, kneeling beside him.

"I don't know… it hurts," Donald groaned, his face twisted in pain.

"Stay calm! We'll get you help," Coach Harris said, looking serious.

Just then, Jake walked over, looking smug. "Nice play, huh? Maybe next time, don't get in my way," he said, smirking.

"Shut up, Jake!" Bella shouted, feeling furious. "You're a jerk!"

As the team helped Donald off the field, Bella felt a mix of worry and anger. Was this the end of the game for him? Would they be able to win without him?

The crowd was buzzing with tension. Bella couldn't take her eyes off Donald. What would happen next? Would they lose their chance at victory?

As she watched Donald being taken care of, Bella knew one thing: she would fight for him, no matter what. The game wasn't over yet, and she refused to give up.
