After showering, Fared dried his wet body with a towel. He put on his clothes and then went out to serve the food he had bought.
The food served was spicy fried chicken bought from Kentucky Fried Chicken. Plates, cups, two small plates, and a bowl of sauce were prepared on the dining table. Now, all that was left was to wait for Rahman's arrival.
Fared poured soda ice cream water into a large cup. Ice cubes were taken from the fridge and placed in his drink. Fared drank his beverage, feeling the refreshment in his throat. He walked and sat on the sofa facing the television.
Fared continued hacking Android application companies that focused on Artificial Intelligence and chatbots using his special gaming laptop. Various files were downloaded and saved to the hard disk.
The doorbell rang. Fared rushed to the entrance and opened the door. Rahman was standing at the doorstep.
Rahman was carrying two 'Alienware' laptop bags. He handed over a box of pizza. Both Rahman and Fared smiled. Fared invited Rahman into his house.
"Waaaaaahhh, KFC," Rahman exclaimed in admiration.
"Thanks for bringing the pizza," Fared said to Rahman.
"Thank you too for buying spicy fried chicken from Kentucky Fried Chicken for our dinner. This is special," Rahman replied.
"What were you doing while waiting for me to arrive?" Rahman asked.
"I just hacked eight Android application companies that run and launch Artificial Intelligence and chatbot applications. I entered through their applications, stopped by their servers, and conducted a survey. I was satisfied with what I found in their servers. All the information related to Artificial Intelligence and their data has been downloaded. There are also many projects and complete information from their data storage. I mean, all the computers they used to create the applications I hacked, I took all the information. There are a lot of their projects related to Artificial Intelligence. Not only that, but----," Fared explained in detail.
"Wait, are you crazy? Doing hacking work alone?" Rahman asked for confirmation.
"Look at my laptop," Fared said.
Rahman walked over to Fared's sophisticated gaming laptop. He looked at the laptop screen. Rahman turned his head to look at Fared with a shocked expression. Rahman sat on the sofa, extremely surprised.
"Why did you ask for my help to hack when you can do it alone?"
Fared walked over to the sofa and stood in front of Rahman. He looked into Rahman's eyes.
"I want you to be the observer while I do the hacking," Fared said with high confidence.
Rahman was shocked again. He looked away, then turned back to Fared's face.
"And that's why you called me here?" Rahman asked.
"More than that," Fared replied.
"I just wanted to see how you hack. I was wondering, are you as good as foreign hackers?" Rahman asked.
"You never know until you try. I want to hack with you. No matter how clever a squirrel is, it will eventually fall to the ground. So no matter how good I am, I'm still not a professional. I guarantee we won't get caught for trespassing by hacking other people's companies."
"Okay, I'll help you hack, but only once," Rahman said.
Fared got up from the sofa, clapped his hands, and stretched his body.
"Let's get started," Fared said enthusiastically.
_____________________________________________
"We successfully entered the server!" Rahman said excitedly.
"Wait, relax, this is only the fifth time you've done this, and you're already excited. I'm preparing for various possibilities. The server we hacked belongs to a popular software company. There might be security traps that could get us caught. You distract the security software as a diversion. I'll clean up the security logs and registration codes."
"Anything encrypted, I can decrypt," Rahman explained.
"It's better to download everything on the server first, and then we'll go down to the company's database that we hacked. All their files and information are interesting," Fared said.
"Shut down the security software!" Rahman said loudly.
"Done! The software is shut down, but it will restart soon."
"What else should we do while waiting for all the data to be downloaded?" Rahman asked.
"I want to take a walk."
"Take a walk?" Rahman asked in confusion.
"Yes, take a walk using all the cameras in the company's office through CCTV or webcam. I'm sure there's more we can take."
"I think that's enough. There are many more companies we can get more information from than this one," Rahman persuaded.
"It's okay, I just want to see something fun," Fared said, enjoying the hacking.
One CCTV turned to another. Fared explored the offices of the popular software company, 'Vasta'. He was excited to copy and download various information from the many database computers in the 'VASTA' company building. Fared hacked non-stop. The more databases he hacked, the more excited he became.
"Alright, that's enough. I've got a lot," Fared said.
"You're crazy," Rahman said.
"We're both crazy, Rahman. Doing stuff like this is asking for trouble," Fared replied.
"Okay, let's exit, then we'll eat. Rest first," Rahman advised.
"We'll continue later."
Fared and Rahman were enjoying their meal of Kentucky Fried Chicken. The fried chicken they were eating was dipped in Adabi chili sauce. Both of them were silent while eating, thoroughly enjoying the food.
"Are you sleeping here tonight?" Fared asked.
"No, no. I didn't bring any clothes. After doing this crazy work, I want to go home," Rahman replied.
Both of them continued to enjoy the delicious fried chicken. They ate a lot of it.
"What's the connection between the data you stole from other companies and the Artificial Intelligence you want to build? How do you plan to build it?" Rahman asked.
"I want to learn," Fared replied.
"Learn?" Rahman was puzzled.
"I want to learn how they have already reached the level of creating Artificial Intelligence software for digital security. I want to study their intelligence and collaboration. The results we hacked, I will use them as references. Their ideas inspire me. I'm trying to find ideas. I might find it hard to create, but I have a talent for modifying."
"Is the data we got enough? For me, it's too much. I don't know how you're going to handle all that information," Rahman said, puzzled.
"Every company has its own secrets before they are announced to the public or kept as secret weapons. Secret weapons to boost their success and wealth. Of course, the information we obtained is not enough," Fared said.
"Not enough? Are you crazy to do this hacking work again? I don't want to die."
"It's not enough because there's incomplete information. The information they have is stored in other companies. It's a shared trust," Fared explained.
"How are you going to get information from other companies that collaborate on projects? Small companies? How to get data without hacking?"
"By visiting," Fared replied casually.
"That's trespassing. Okay, that's enough. After this, it's the last time I'll do hacking. You can do the rest yourself."
"No, no, no. You have to help me with programming. Building A.I. is not enough with just me. I want to do it fast," Fared said.
"I can help with programming and building A.I. Hacking, tonight is the last time I'll do hacking."
"It's not just programming and building A.I. I need machines. I want to build an A.I. with its own body," Fared requested Rahman.
"Where are you going to build an A.I. body? Here? Don't joke."
"Oi, I'm serious! The company we work for, Terminal Vector, has a factory. I'll go to the factory, and I'll build the A.I. body. There are many tools and equipment that will allow us to build the A.I. body!" Fared insisted.
"Without permission?"
"I'll build the A.I. body quietly. Reports won't be forgotten. We'll collect costs, expense data, debts, items, and tools used, and we'll submit the report to the Board of Directors. Easy. Of course, we'll be forgiven because I've done something that will surprise them all," Fared replied.
"That's a good idea. As long as our secret work isn't exposed."
"This will also boost the popularity of Terminal Vector and our names," Fared said with a wide smile.
"References? Where to get them?"
"I'll just take them from books, websites, do my own research. Easy," Fared said calmly.
"I think two people aren't enough for this work."
"Why? Do you have someone else in mind?" Fared asked.
"I think so, but I'll try to find someone else who is suitable and interested in building A.I."
"Okay, agreed! You find a third person to do this work, and I'll continue doing this work," Fared said happily, hearing Rahman's suggestion.
After obtaining the information from the hacking activity with Rahman, Fared read through all of it. He examined various data, calculations, and experiments conducted by other companies. Fared smiled, then took a cup of soda ice cream water and drank it. He burped.
"How was last night?" Rahman asked in Fared's office.
"Lots of clues," Fared explained.
"What clues?" Rahman asked, puzzled.
"I want to visit other companies and their factories. Many small companies collaborate with big companies."
"You want to trespass into other people's factories and companies?" Rahman asked.
"I want to trespass into people's houses."
"What?! Fared, this is a crime, you know? Even involving trespassing into people's houses," Rahman said firmly.
"Do you think I'm a criminal? Trespassing without being noticed? Is that considered a crime? I trespass and then leave without changing anything. Everything is as usual without any signs of trespassing? I can trespass into people's houses without setting foot inside," Fared explained.
Rahman was silent for a moment.
"Relax, bro, the robotic arm is almost done. After this, we can rest before starting a new project for the company we work for."
"Alright, Fared. Do whatever you want. You must have your reasons. You're too obsessed with Artificial Intelligence," Rahman sighed.
"Thank you. I'll do what I need to do. After this, I need to meet with a physiologist and a neurologist. If Malaysia's first robotic arm is completed, many technology-related companies will invest in this company. My salary, Ah Cheong's, and yours will increase, or we'll get rewards from the Director."
"Let's continue working," Rahman said.
"Nice," Fared replied.
"See you later," Rahman said as he got up from his seat to return to his room to continue his work.
"See you sooner," Fared replied with a wave and a smile.
In the quiet of the night while many were sleeping, Fared stopped next to a zinc fence. He took off his motorcycle helmet. Fared got off his motorcycle. He opened his black bag.
Fared put on black gloves. He took out his smartphone and left a black box with a keyboard and a dark screen, a flash drive, a hard disk, a small laptop, and a device that looked like a Wi-Fi modem in black, white, and yellow in the bag. Fared placed his smartphone in his right pants pocket.
Fared ran around the area of the zinc fence of the factory. He found an entrance. The entrance gate was very large, but it allowed Fared to climb over it, though it made his trespassing work slower and increased the chances of being caught.
Fared walked to the security guard's post. A young, overweight security guard was sleeping at the desk, probably exhausted. Fared took out his smartphone and accessed the factory's Wi-Fi.
The Wi-Fi hacking was successful. Fared pressed the digital activation button on his smartphone. The large factory gate opened, making a noise as the large gate shook.
Fared quickly ran into the factory area. The security guard woke up from his sleep and got up from his seat. The security guard rushed out of the post and saw the entrance and exit gates open by themselves.
"Argh! Cramp! Cramp! Leg cramp!" the overweight security guard shouted as he fell to the ground and rolled out of the factory area because the floor was slightly hilly.
Now, Fared was in front of the office entrance. He touched the screen of his smartphone. The machine scanned the code on his phone screen. Fared hacked the machine using his smartphone.
He placed his smartphone on the fingerprint scanner and the staff ID card scanner. Fared placed the black box with the screen and small keyboard on the scanning area.
Fared took out a screwdriver from the pocket of his black jacket. He unscrewed the five screws of the fingerprint and card scanner.
Three wires were disconnected and connected to the black box. The scanner's light turned green.
The glass office door opened. Fared checked the office's CCTV through his phone. He manipulated the office's CCTV by playing last night's recording. Fared disconnected the wires from the scanner connected to his black box.
He reassembled the scanner with the screws. Then he entered the office. Fared immediately looked for the company's ICT room. He ran around looking for the ICT room. Fared found the ICT room. The ICT room was locked.
A four-digit password and a staff card were needed to open the door. Fared took out the black box again. This time, the black box was connected with wires to an electronic board that looked like a card scanner with long and wide black lines.
Fared placed his card in the card scanning area and left it there. The card scanner and password machine got stuck in the digital process of scanning the card. The hacking began.
"Faster," Fared said to his hacking device.
The black box's screen displayed the password in 10 seconds. Fared quickly entered the password as shown on the black box. The card scanner beeped, indicating the password was successfully entered.
The door also beeped, indicating it was no longer locked. Fared pushed the door open and stored his hacking tools.
He placed his bag at the door to prevent it from closing and locking again. Fared turned on one of the computers in the ICT room.
He plugged in his flash drive with a skull picture into the desktop computer. The computer's password was written automatically. The password was successful.
The computer screen displayed various files and software. Fared quickly connected the hard disk wire to the desktop. He installed software from his hard disk files. Fared entered his email address and password.
He hacked and controlled all the software on the computer. The information from the computer was transferred to his 1TB hard disk.
Fared walked over to the supercomputer, which looked like two long cabinets with many lights blinking. Some were yellow, green, white, and blue. Fared quickly took out the small laptop from his black bag.
He connected the laptop wire to the supercomputer, which looked like two long cabinets. Fared activated various hacking software. He started hacking the supercomputer. The supercomputer's security was disabled.
Fared explored all the information. He copied all the data available. Next, he took the black Wi-Fi modem belonging to the company. Fared disconnected the Wi-Fi modem wire and connected it to another Wi-Fi modem, which was his own.
The black Wi-Fi modem was replaced. The SIM card was separated from the original Wi-Fi modem and inserted into the newly replaced Wi-Fi modem. Fared smiled to himself.
Happily, Fared sat at the staff desk. He sat on the chair calmly, thinking. Suddenly, he got an idea. Fared got up and walked to a room. The manager's room. There were two unlocked manager rooms. Fared entered the first manager's room. He explored the files one by one.
Fared took out his smartphone and took pictures of every sheet of paper in the files. After capturing all the contents of the files from the first and second manager rooms, Fared walked back to the ICT room.
Fared took all his belongings after finishing copying all the information. The software installed earlier was uninstalled. Everything was returned to normal. The computer logs were also deleted to avoid leaving anything suspicious.
Fared walked to the back door of the office. He looked at the glass window of the back door. There was a very large garage. Fared walked to the garage. The light switch was turned on. Various types of large machinery and heavy equipment were in the garage. Fared looked at each machine.
However, Fared focused on the computers at the end of the garage. There were many strange tools that Fared had never seen before. Fared flipped through the paperwork on the desk.
There were many blueprints on the desk. The blueprints showed various strange components. Fared took pictures of the components. He turned on the nearby computer. The computer was explored.
Hard disks and flash drives were connected, and all the information was copied and transferred to Fared's hard disk. There were too many encrypted files.
"Whatever, just put it in the hard disk first. To decrypt, wait until we're home or at work," Fared monologued.
Fared opened one of the PDF files. He read it bit by bit. Fared understood the purpose of the strange components on the desk. He didn't understand why those components were built.
Where would they be installed? Fared scrolled down and went further down. He tried to understand how the components were installed and combined.
What was certain was that it had nothing to do with Artificial Intelligence. Fared noticed a small computer specifically for programming small robot models. Not only small robots, but also various other types of small toy-sized robots.
Circuits were also available for the robot models, and what caught Fared's attention the most was a replica of a machine. Many replicas were on the desk. Quickly, Fared copied all the files on the computers.
Fared once again examined the strange components. There were company names engraved on all the different components.
"Who?! Surrender!" shouted the security guard, holding a stun gun.
Fared hid behind the desk, shocked. The security guard walked around, checking each machine. Fared peeked to see what the security guard was doing. He had made a big mistake.
He shouldn't have turned on the light. It would have been enough to use his phone as a flashlight. His curiosity got the better of him. Fared disconnected the hard disk that had finished copying all the data from the computer.
He turned off the computer quietly. Fared walked quickly, crouching, and went under a giant truck. He lay down under the truck. Fared crawled and hid, lying flat next to the truck's tire.
"I know you're here, don't hide or I'll shoot, you'll die!" the security guard said.
Fared remained calm, lying still under the giant truck. He saw the security guard's feet walking past him under the truck. The security guard walked towards the computers.
Quickly, Fared crawled out from under the truck and ran to the back door, entering the office. He ran and ran without stopping or looking back. The second gate was closed.
Fared took out his phone and opened an app. His phone displayed an image that looked like a circuit board. Fared quickly pressed the display on his screen. The gate opened.
He ran and exited through the gap in the gate. He touched his phone screen again. The gate closed again. Fared ran to his motorcycle. He placed the bag in the front basket of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle was started and ridden quickly. Fared was satisfied and relieved because he was almost caught. Who knows what would have happened if he had been shot with the security guard's stun gun.
