PART 6: PROJECT

After a week had passed, a patrol robot was ready to be built. Fared and his friends clapped their hands because the patrol robot was successfully built.

The robot moved well. The robot moved throughout the entire area inside the "Terminal Vector" building smoothly. The robot moved and analyzed everything nearby it.

"It's a success!" cheered Haikal.

"Next month, can we use the prototype or show this robot to the board of directors?" asked Haziq.

"I think we should make facial identification for the employees of this company. Through this robot's camera, a notification will appear on the computer about whose face is detected by the camera," said Fared.

"That's good too," said Hadi.

"We'll start with the people from this company, then after that the police and people related to the National Security Council," said Fared.

"Even if we do it early, we don't have enough resources. We don't have enough experts, technology, and references. This is as far as we can go for now," said Rahman.

"The answer is, be patient," said Diana gently.

Fared bowed his head shyly at his worktable. Hearing Diana's voice made Fared fall for her. Fared's face turned reddish.

"Let's go eat, I'm hungry," Haziq invited his friends to have lunch together.

"Let's go eat!" said Hadi enthusiastically.

"Come on, Fared," Rahman invited Fared to eat.

"Okay," said Fared softly.

"Hey, why's your face red, Fared?" asked Aizat to Fared.

"Is it?" asked Fared. Fared's face grew even redder.

"The rain isn't stopping," said Rahman.

"Alhamdulillah, heavy and long rain is better than scorching heat," said Fared.

"Yeah," Haikal agreed.

Fared, Haikal, and Rahman were sitting in the cafeteria while staring blankly at the cafeteria window, watching the weather still raining. The rainy day reminded Fared of old memories after infiltrating a certain company.

Six homeless people who died, stabbed multiple times in an underground road tunnel. Fared felt regretful. He couldn't wait for when his patrol robot project would succeed. With this project, inshallah, crime cases would decrease. That was Fared's hope.

Fared was alone in the workroom. All the faces of the "Terminal Vector" company employees had been registered into the system by Fared. Rahman, who sat next to his table, was reading news on the computer. There were only Fared and Rahman in that room.

"Rahman, I just found out, Aizat and Haikal are 26 years old. Haziq is 30, while you and Hadi are the same age. 38 years old. Diana is 28 years old," said Fared.

"Just say it, you're stalking Diana. I don't mind. I already have a wife and kids," Rahman chuckled softly.

"Ugh, don't keep bringing up Diana all the time."

"It looks like you're interested in Diana. Acting all shy like a dog too," Rahman laughed again.

"Eish, Diana's old, she wouldn't want to marry an old guy," replied Fared.

"Be grateful that Diana is only four years older than you. It's not that far apart in age. Even if you marry, it's not like Diana would be the older sister. You'd be the one Diana calls 'abang'," Rahman laughed again.

Fared's face turned red again, and then he pinched Rahman's shoulder. Rahman screamed in pain. Fared pinched with all his strength. It could lead to a fight.

Diana was a pretty person. Her face had a slight Arabic look but with fair skin. Her nose was slightly big, her skin as white as a rose, her lips pink, her eyes medium-sized.

Her face had features like those of a religious teacher.

Women weren't Fared's main goal. Fared only wanted to eradicate criminals using his intelligence.

Fared was indeed a shy person whenever women were near him. Throughout his life as a student, he only had books as companions. Books and teachers were his only friends.

Fared had many friends during school, but none were girls. He didn't know how to socialize with girls. Even chatting occasionally was nothing, let alone running around chasing and joking with female students, whether in primary or secondary school.

Indeed, Fared's nature was that he preferred knowledge over the women around him.

At 10 p.m., Fared was dissecting the legs of a human-shaped robot at his home. Replacing the machines that moved the robot's legs. Fared finished replacing the components of the robot's legs.

The outer layer of the robot's legs was reassembled. The repair tools were tidied up by Fared. Fared ordered the robot to stand. The robot stood upright.

Fared told it to kick the air as fast as possible. The robot kicked the air quickly. The breeze from the robot's leg kick into the air was felt.

The robot's kick was swift. Fared smiled. Fared hugged his robot. His robot hugged him back. Fared felt happy to be able to build his own artificial intelligence robot.

The next afternoon, Fared was with children and also teenagers from the same apartment as Fared at the football field. They were all playing football. Fared called several teenagers to come to him.

Three teenage boys walked to meet Fared at the edge of the football field. Fared asked the three teenage boys to race with his robot. The three teenage boys were amazed to see the robot walking beside Fared.

Fared invited them to race with his robot. The three teenage boys casually invited Fared to race with them too. Fared accepted their invitation.

Fared, the three teenage boys, and his robot were in position, ready to run. One of the teenage boys said "start." They dashed forward in their race.

One of the teenage boys overtook them all. Fared's robot sped up and then ran past them all. Fared's robot ran so fast to the end of the football field, leaving them all behind.

The three teenage boys were stunned, watching Fared's robot reach the end of the football field in such a short time. They all stopped running and looked at the robot standing at the end of the football field. Fared smiled happily seeing his robot from afar.

All the teenage boys and Fared at the football field played with great enthusiasm. They played football earnestly. Fared chased the football along with the other teenagers while Fared's robot became the goalkeeper.

Fared's robot was ready to guard the goal. Fared managed to steal the football and then quickly brought the football toward the goal.

Suddenly, a teenage boy stole the football from Fared with his impressive skills in playing football. Several people tried to take the football back but failed.

That teenage boy was too skilled. He dribbled the football solo. The teenage boy stopped and then lifted the football into the air with his foot.

The football soared into the air. Fared stopped running and then watched the boy kick the football. A loud bang sounded. The football shot toward the goal as fast as a bullet.

The ball almost entered the goal. As quick as lightning, Fared's robot jumped to the corner of the goal, catching the football neatly with one hand. Everyone was stunned again. Fared laughed happily. The construction of his robot was a success.

At night, Fared looked at his robot sitting calmly in a chair. Fared patted his robot. Fared smiled once again. He walked out of the house and then locked it. Fared walked to his motorcycle and then started his motorcycle.

His motorcycle was stopped at a motorcycle parking lot. Fared walked to an ATM machine. He withdrew some ringgit money. Fared looked behind him. There was a man in front of him holding a knife. His face was full of anger.

"Put the money in the ATM! Take out cash quick! See this knife?!" shouted the robber.

"I see, I see," said Fared calmly.

"Give me the money you have in your hand now!" ordered the robber.

"Here," said Fared.

Fared handed the ringgit money with his left hand to the robber. The robber, who held the knife in his left hand, took the money. As fast as lightning, Fared punched the face of the masked robber with his right hand as hard as he could.

The robber fell, and the back of his head hit the glass of the ATM building. Fared took his money back. The robber's knife was kicked out of the ATM building.

Fared walked out calmly and then took his motorcycle chain. The glass door of the ATM building was chained and locked with a padlock. Fared took out his smartphone and quickly called the police.

"Fared! Your face is in the newspaper, dude!" said Haziq.

"Epic!" said Hadi.

"Fared became a hero. So cool. You gave him a full-force punch!" Haikal was shocked.

Fared just stayed silent and then smiled while doing his work.

"Dangerous, Fared. What happened, Fared? Are you injured anywhere?" Diana rushed into Fared's workroom.

Fared froze. His face immediately turned shy and red. Fared's face turned completely red. Fared only looked at the computer screen. Holding back his shyness. Rahman laughed softly.

"Answer her, your wife is asking," said Rahman to Fared in a whisper.

"Hey!" Fared scolded Rahman.

"Fared? Is Fared okay?" Diana asked.

Fared couldn't stop looking at the computer screen because he was too shy with the beautiful Diana. Holding back his shyness even though his face was already completely red. His face was clearly red.

"Alhamdulillah, I'm fine, I'm healthy," Fared answered Diana's question.

"Alhamdulillah, be careful next time, okay, Fared. It's better to withdraw money from the ATM during the day than at night. Night is dark. Criminals are rampant during the dark now," Diana worried about Fared.

Fared nodded as a sign he understood the advice from Diana, whose captivating face was like an Arabic beauty with fair skin. Anyone who saw her face would surely feel calm in their soul. Fared was not calm.

His forehead started to wrinkle. He felt uncomfortable with Diana's presence because it stirred Fared's soul as a true man.

Diana smiled happily, showing her white teeth after hearing the answer from Fared. Diana left, and then Fared let out a sigh of relief. Everyone working around Fared laughed. Fared was embarrassed.

"You'd better marry Diana. I see she's perfect for you. You're so lucky. Smart, handsome enough, I'd give your looks a B grade. There's a Muslim woman in these end times interested in you. If I were you, Fared, I'd be so grateful to have such a perfect life," said Haikal.

"Just calm down. I don't like women who try to get close to me or any man. That's called being flirty," replied Fared.

"What's wrong with it, Fared? Diana has already tried to get closer to you. She likes you, Fared. Marry her right away before she loses interest or doesn't want to get close to you anymore," replied Haikal.

"She should be getting closer to Allah, not getting closer to me," replied Fared in a soft voice.

Haikal fell silent. His hand was placed on his chin. Thinking for a moment. Haikal started to think and digest Fared's words.

Fared stayed silent. The canned coffee drink in Fared's hand was drunk. Fared looked at the floor after finishing his canned coffee drink.

A few days later, several workers in red corporate uniforms lifted supercomputer components and placed them in Fared's workroom.

Fared, Haikal, Aizat, Rahman, Hadi, and Haziq also helped the workers in red corporate uniforms by lifting the items they had ordered.

After that, Fared and Rahman assembled the supercomputers. Haikal and Haziq prepared the items and tools to build the patrol robot.

The components of the patrol robot were also received by Fared after placing an order. Fared took a file on the table and then read it. Fared read the file.

It listed the names of companies involved in the collaboration for building the patrol robots. The construction of the patrol robots was being done on a large scale.

Hadi and Aizat were at the National Security Council Department building.

The area around the National Security Council Department building was extremely vast, like a recreational park owned by a sultan's palace.

The National Security Council Department building itself had a design like a stadium and also resembled an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) from the outside.

The two of them entered the building and then went to the counter to write their names, phone numbers, and also identification card numbers before meeting with the Department's Board of Directors.

They chatted in a meeting room with the National Security Council's Board of Directors. After several matters were reviewed, the entire department's management agreed to the proposal and invitation from the "Terminal Vector" company.

Several meetings and presentations would be arranged with the presence of the National Defense Ministry, including the National Defense Minister and the National Police Chief. Hadi and Aizat felt nervous because they had never done such a large project before.

Hadi and Aizat held various meetings and presented Fared's project to defense officials. However, the process of receiving approval took two months. The MCMC SKMM also gave the green light to the "Terminal Vector" company's patrol robot project.

The Ministry of Finance had been directed to invest in the patrol robot project after the National Assembly meeting approved the project. A total of RM10 million had been invested in the "Terminal Vector" company.

Fared checked the paperwork that had been done by Hadi, Aizat, Haikal, Diana, and also Haziq.

RM5 million had been spent on building servers, building Artificial Intelligence, and supercomputers specifically designed to operate the patrol robots.

Fared and Rahman worked on Facial Recognition and Face Identification. Besides the patrol robots, CCTV cameras were also worked on to assist the patrol robots' movements.

Discussions according to the National Assembly meeting stated that the patrol robot project would provide jobs for unemployed graduates in the field of Information and Communication Technology and related fields.

It was expected that unemployment would decrease by 10%. Rahman was also busy with the patrol robot improvement project. Rahman was assigned to the construction and design of the machinery for building the patrol robots.

The estimate was off. Unemployment decreased by 30%. A patrol robot factory was opened. The construction of the patrol robots began on a small scale. The constructed robots were built as tests and virtual reality training experiments for police personnel.

Fared was too busy registering the identification of officers and police personnel into the system. The Artificial Intelligence wasn't just built by Fared and Rahman, but involved 30 new workers in building the Artificial Intelligence.

The large number of workers made Fared's job easier in completing the Artificial Intelligence for the patrol robots. A driving training circuit was also rented for Artificial Intelligence experiments and patrol robot testing.

The patrol robots were tested. The four-wheeled patrol robots could move at a speed of 30 km/hour. The experiment succeeded. Winding roads were successfully navigated.

The patrol robots were also waterproof. They could still move and function even when moving through puddles of water.

Crime containment formations, trapping criminals, hitting criminals, and slowing their movements were successfully executed. The number of patrol robots used for testing at the driving circuit was 50 units.

The large number made it easier to combat criminals and assess situations. Private companies also invested money in the "Terminal Vector" company.

The "Terminal Vector" company began to become famous throughout the country. Foreign newspapers also reported about the "Terminal Vector" company.

In the morning at the commando police training camp, several patrol robots moved randomly without colliding with each other on the drill field of the police training camp.

Fared and his friends attended a collaboration ceremony between the commando police training camp and the "Terminal Vector" company.

The ceremony was held on a small scale. Fared gave a speech to the attendees of the small ceremony. A video showcasing the promotion of the patrol robots and also the products and quality work of "Terminal Vector," which had become famous even abroad, was played.

Rahman gave a speech to the attendees of the small ceremony. A video showcasing the promotion of the patrol robots and also the products and quality work of "Terminal Vector," which had become famous even abroad, was played.

Terminal Vector gained attention from Western countries like European nations due to their earnest efforts in research and development, achieving expertise in robotics akin to the pride of European nations' advancements.

Several more patrol robots emerged from trucks. The attendees of the ceremony clapped in shock, seeing the robots come out of four trucks and then perform various formations accompanied by music that further enlivened the atmosphere.

Many were impressed with the patrol robots' formations. The performance of the patrol robots as an attraction for fans and investors went smoothly.

Everyone was exhausted. Fared drank mineral water from his large water bottle. He finished one bottle of mineral water. He took another bottle of mineral water and drank it.

He threw the two mineral water bottles, and they landed precisely in a black trash bin at the edge of a pole in the cafeteria of the Commando Police Training Camp.

He reached for another bottle of mineral water in front of him. He drank that mineral water bottle again and then threw it. For the third time, the mineral water bottle landed precisely in the black trash bin. Haikal was amazed at Fared.

"Next month is the launch ceremony for the small-scale production of the patrol robots. That ceremony will just be a simple one. If the patrol robots are successfully launched on a large scale, then there will be a grand ceremony!" said Haziq with an enthusiastic tone even though he was sweating due to the hot day. Especially while resting at the Commando Police Training Camp. No wonder it was so hot.

"Inshallah, if there's sustenance, there'll be rewards later," said Fared with a smile.

"Next month, the training on using the patrol robots with police personnel will also begin. We'll see how the police personnel's operational training goes using the patrol robots based on the robots' capabilities in assisting police personnel's operations," added Fared with an explanation.

"Wow, I can't wait to see the police personnel's training with the use of the patrol robots," Diana was excited hearing Fared's explanation.

All of Fared's friends looked at Fared after seeing Diana's excitement. Fared turned his face elsewhere. His facial expression showed that Fared was somewhat annoyed with Diana.

Nevertheless, they were all exhausted even though they were satisfied with conducting the small-scale patrol robot launch ceremony at that camp successfully.

The following month, Fared and his friends attended the Commando Police Training Camp. The patrol robots were unloaded from three trucks. Fared and his friends observed the police personnel training using the patrol robots.

Several police personnel acted as criminals who had just robbed a shop. Three police personnel acted as patrol officers.

The three police personnel chased one robber. The patrol robot moved quickly and then overtook the robber. The patrol robot stopped in front of the robber.

The robber fell along with the patrol robot when he collided with it. The three police personnel managed to catch one robber. Several patrol robots rushed to chase two more robbers.

Five patrol robots rammed into the two robbers. Several other patrol robots surrounded the two robbers.

The patrol robots moved, circling the two robbers lying on the ground nonstop after falling. Many clapped their hands watching that operational training.

An empty building area was surrounded by patrol robots. A police officer acting as a serial killer was trapped inside the building. The SWAT squad entered that building.

The serial killer ran up to the top floor. After being at the very top floor, he rushed to the end of the building. A white rope was taken and then tied to a pole used as a clothesline.

The killer escaped by sliding down the white rope. The three-story building was left with only the SWAT squad.

The serial killer managed to escape. Not long after, 15 patrol robot units chased the killer. In front of him were two rows of patrol robots blocking the killer from escaping.

Randomly, 15 patrol robot units rammed into him and some circled around him. The serial killer was successfully caught because he was trapped, surrounded by too many patrol robots.

Once again, everyone clapped their hands in awe watching the operational training at the Commando Police Training Camp. Fared and his friends cheered because their project succeeded. Rahman whispered to Fared.

Fared saw the National Police Chief's facial expression looking restless and uneasy while the Defense Minister was happy seeing the progress in national security showcased by the "Terminal Vector" company. Hadi, Haziq, Haikal, and Aizat raised their thumbs showing a "good" symbol to Fared and Rahman.

"Alhamdulillah," said Fared.

After two months, hundreds of patrol robots were released in Ampang, Selangor. Nine serial killers were successfully detected. Thanks to the Artificial Intelligence of the patrol robots roaming around Ampang as monitors.

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter accounts, and also a website had been specially created for the patrol robots. The patrol robots operated fully 24 hours. The patrol robots were released in shifts.

The patrol robots' battery charging system was also done in shifts so that safety and peace could be monitored. Many unemployed people went back to work and drove the country's economy. The flow of money in the country also became stable.

The existence of patrol robots in Ampang, Selangor attracted the attention of foreign and domestic tourists to come and witness the modernity of the patrol robot technology.

Small countries like Singapore began ordering and requesting cooperation with the "Terminal Vector" company to operate in Singapore after Malaysia became famous worldwide regarding the patrol robots.

The patrol robots were more effective compared to flying drones, which were very expensive per unit and also costly to operate in combating criminals and monitoring the community's surroundings. A "Terminal Vector" branch would be established in Singapore after a few months to come.

After the patrol robots operated fully in Ampang, in Subang Jaya, the patrol robots also started operating. Each district had a patrol robot office.

The patrol offices were important for repairing the patrol robots and also receiving feedback from customers like the public.

The patrol offices also functioned to open workshops for recharging the patrol robots' batteries and also replacing tires and fixing what needed to be fixed.

Patrol Robot Version 1.0 operated successfully in Subang Jaya and Ampang. Patrol Robot Version 2.0 was then released.

Now, Patrol Robot Version 2.0 had a speaker and also a mini microphone inside the patrol robot to identify the surrounding situation besides just relying on the patrol robot's camera.

After five months passed, the entire Selangor district had patrol robots monitoring and maintaining public safety.

Now, the public felt safer and more comfortable when leaving their residences to go wherever they liked.

The crime rate also decreased drastically. Children and adults at playgrounds or sports fields were safely watched by the patrol robots. Several children also played with the patrol robots.

The existence of the patrol robots also had an impact on government departments like the Police Office. Police personnel had to work to monitor the situation together with the patrol robots.

The patrol robots were also guarded so they wouldn't be damaged by any irresponsible parties. Besides that, the patrol robots were also monitored by cyber officers tasked with observing the patrol robots' movements to form a formation or move a certain patrol robot.

The patrol robots' cameras were watched live by other cyber officers to monitor the surrounding situation to combat criminals.

There were two men wearing helmets and riding a motorcycle together, one man sitting in the passenger seat behind the motorcycle driver pulled out a sharp and shiny knife quietly.

A notification sounded on one of the cyber officers' computers. The knife was detected through the patrol robot's scanning camera. The knife was held by a man wearing a helmet and who was the motorcycle passenger.

The motorcycle was started. The patrol robot's operation was also redirected. Several nearby patrol robots were activated. A warning notification was sent to police officers near the incident location.

The motorcycle ridden by the two men moved forward slowly. It stopped next to a woman dressed in office attire with a handbag in her left hand facing the road.

The woman didn't realize that there was a motorcycle ridden by two helmeted men beside her. All the officers in the patrol robot control office were on standby, facing various possibilities. What was certain, they wanted to combat crime.

The woman's handbag was snatched, but the woman still held her handbag tightly. The handbag didn't want to be snatched, and her hand didn't let go.

The woman fought back and pulled her handbag. The motorcycle passenger shouted at the woman to let go of her handbag or her life would be taken.

The woman didn't give up. She still fought and yanked her handbag while screaming for help. The motorcycle passenger pulled the woman's handbag hard and then swung the knife. The knife hit the woman's arm.

The woman's upper arm was injured very deeply. After being injured, the woman then fell to the floor. Screaming in pain.

"Run fast!" shouted the motorcycle passenger several times, telling his friend to leave after injuring a woman.

After the situation was observed, the patrol robots were controlled immediately. Three patrol robots moved quickly and then blocked the motorcycle of the handbag snatchers.

The motorcycle was ridden fast to get out of the incident area. It didn't succeed.

The motorcycle's tire hit the patrol robot and then fell to the side of the road. The motorcycle skidded on the sidewalk. The motorcycle rider fell into a ditch on the side of the sidewalk.

A police car arrived. Two police officers got out of the car and then pulled the two criminals out of the ditch. The motorcycle driver was successfully handcuffed. One police officer was kicked by a man holding the woman's handbag.

The man wearing a red helmet ran haphazardly and then collided with two patrol robots that quickly rushed toward him.

The man in the red helmet was successfully caught. An ambulance arrived. The woman was lifted into the ambulance and then taken to the hospital.

The patrol robot control workers cheered happily and then clapped their hands with their colleagues involved in that situation. Nameless heroes. Working only to control the patrol robots.
