Upon entering the room the first thing Arthur noticed was a pleasant scent.
He glanced around him.
'Thankfully, he wasn't lying.'
Arthur thought.
He would have to thank Zatch formally when he was done with his business here. The room was spacious, it had both a couch and a single table and chairs.
The table had several stacks of paper on them.
Then, there was the person he was looking for.
The Headmaster.
She wasn't seated behind the table dealing with the stacks of paper, instead she was seated leisurely on the couch that seemed misplaced in this kind of setting.
The woman looked up.
"Professor Arthur, you're finally here."
She said as she saw him.
Even after seeing him she made no effort to get off the chair.
"Am I late?"
He asked.
"No, but all the tests have already been submitted."
Arthur didn't say anything in response, he calmly observed here.
"Take a seat then, since you're here."
He walked over to one of the chairs at the table and adjusted it before sitting down.
The woman in front of him had white hair, though it didn't seem to be the one that came with age. Her white hair was pulled into a braid.
"Anyway, Headmaster, I'm here to submit my-"
"Forget the formalities, its not like there's anyone here, just call me by my name."
Arthur didn't say anything in response.
'Crap.'
He thought, though he maintained a calm expression on the outside.
For Arthur, the battlefield was a place where he would make the enemy believe he was something untouchable.
He always wore a mask of nonchalance as he killed.
It was because of that he was able to appear calm.
'I don't know her name.'
He had already started panicking.
"Anyway, I've prepared the test for the first year students."
"Then give it to me already."
He nodded slightly before reaching his hands into his pocket, only for his finger to brush against the fabric.
'….Fuck.'
There was no piece of folded paper in his pocket.
He kept his expression steady, but his mind had already begun retracing his steps.
'Did I leave it in the mansion?'
He thought.
'But I could have sworn that I put it in my pockets.'
"Arthur, are you alright?"
The Headmaster asked, her voice cutting through his thoughts.
"I'm fine."
He quickly replied.
"So, about the test you prepared...."
Arthur let out a deep breath, already thinking of how to do this.
'I didn't really read the contents of the test, so I'll have to improvise.'
He leaned back slightly at the thought, keeping his posture relaxed.
'Maybe those training exercises we were given before will actually be useful now.'
"I'll just say it out loud."
He said, letting nothing slip.
All to make it seem like it had been part of his plan.
"You didn't bring a written copy?"
She smirked.
"I have it memorized."
She was clearly amused by his predicament, she had seen when he reached his hands in his pockets only to bring out nothing.
"Alright."
Arthur nodded before beginning.
"For the mages, a test that...."
….
"It's actually not that bad."
The woman admitted.
While he had spoken she had gotten up from the chair to procure a pen and a piece of paper from the table, then she wrote everything he had said down.
"And it barely requires any of the academy's budget."
She added.
The test Arthur had given her was relatively simple, but it was because of its simplicity that it seemed genius.
Not only would he be able to effectively rank the students, but the cost required wasn't much considering that he had to plan for the students that awakened the assassin and mage classes.
"Your test is approved. You can go now."
Arthur got up from the chair and made to leave.
"Thank you."
She said as he left.
"It wasn't much."
He admitted as his hand touched the doorknob, turning his head in her direction.
"I just have one question."
"What is it?"
"How do you know that I awakened the two-"
He stopped himself from completing it.
He was about to ask how she knew that he had awakened the mage class and the assassin class but something stopped him.
'She's the headmaster, so she should have been appointed by the king, meaning she should have already been formed about who I am.'
"What two?"
The woman tilted her head innocently.
"You awakened the sorcerer class, what kind of question is that?"
"...."
Just then he caught something. A slight childish grin.
It clicked in him.
"Do you have anything else you want to say?"
She asked.
"Just try not to make yourself approachable for your staff, otherwise their respect for you will slowly dwindle."
With those words he left, shutting the door behind him.
'So officially I'm known as a sorcerer.'
That was a relief, he didn't have to worry about his identity being exposed.
He thought back to the test he had told her about.
The test that he had told her about, it was just some basic drills that he had to daily as he had both the mage class and the assassin class.
He had thought that she would see the test as basic and would deny it, however she had actually accepted it.
'Maybe the average awakened is weaker than I thought they were.'
He thought.
"Hey, are you done?"
A voice called out.
Arthur frowned upon hearing it.
The very same man that had given him directions.
He let out a sigh.
Even though he did say he would meet him later, meeting him now was annoying to say the least.
"Yes."
"So, tell me how it went."
"It went well, my test was approved."
Rex grinned.
"That's okay, just be happy that yours got approved."
"Hmm."
He hummed in response before stopping.
"Weren't yours?"
He asked.
The man wasn't offended by his question and shook his head.
"Unfortunately, my test was said to be able to kill most of my students if I actually put them through it."
He said with a grin.
"Then that means you were actually trying to kill them."
Arthur said.
"Where are the classes?"
Arthur asked.
He wanted to check his class to see how big it would be, and to estimate the total number of students he would get.
"Classes?"
Rex repeated.
"Don't you know where they are? Like, you've been literally teaching here for over three years but you don't know where the classes are."
"I forgot, the academy isn't the only thing on my mind."
"You seriously don't know anything, do you? First it was the headmaster's office and now it's even your own classes. And they're saying you've been teaching for years as they say."
Arthur didn't deny it.
Instead he continued walking without uttering a word.
It seemed that his plan to act closely to the spirit that had possessed him had failed, he didn't even know how the spirit acted in the first place.
