Lottery Draw – Superman: Man of Steel

Upon hearing this, Tony Stark wasn't sure whether to feel proud or somewhat disheartened.

He was, after all, only human, and as such, immortality was beyond him. So, if his time came to an end—whether through retirement, age, or dying in battle—he would have to accept it. But the idea that his career would end even before he'd truly begun left him feeling uneasy.

However, as he reflected on what he had accomplished, Luo Chen's evaluation of him—comparable to that of a god with a mortal body—gave him a sense of pride.

Such an assessment was the highest praise anyone could receive.

To claim that he didn't feel any pride would be untrue.

In general, Tony Stark was still very proud of himself.

After all, Marvel began and ended with Iron Man. Tony couldn't help but acknowledge that this was a high-profile evaluation of his achievements.

However, from Luo Chen's later comments, Tony could infer that the second generation of Iron Man—presumably the successor to his mantle—didn't perform as well. The gap between the two generations seemed enormous, based on Luo Chen's words.

But Tony couldn't control what would happen in the future. After all, normal development would require him to finish what he started.

Whether it was due to old age, retirement, or a battle-related death, his time would inevitably come to an end.

"However, since my death in battle is a possibility, it means my armor isn't strong enough. We need to continue strengthening it. In the future, we might have to face gods, and I can't afford to fall short!" Tony Stark declared. "Relevant research must be accelerated!"

"Understood, sir!" J.A.R.V.I.S. replied promptly.

On the other side, Luo Chen had no idea that the diary he had written would inspire Tony Stark so much. Not only did it give Tony insight into his own future, but it also revealed the concept of the "fourth wall"—an idea that Luo Chen had been pondering himself.

Luo Chen had never intended for his complaints about Marvel to inspire anyone. He wrote them down merely as a vent for his frustration, much like he had complained on the internet about Marvel in his previous life.

He still remembered how amazing he found Marvel when he first watched it. But as time went on, it became increasingly monotonous. The more the second generations of various heroes emerged, the more it became apparent that none of them could compare to their predecessors.

"Complete the diary records seven times and earn one lucky draw. Host, would you like to begin the draw now?" a voice from the system asked.

"Immediately—draw it now!" Luo Chen replied eagerly, unable to wait to see what super abilities or other rewards he might get.

As soon as the words left his mouth, a turntable appeared before him. The options on the wheel spun rapidly, and Luo Chen was momentarily dazzled by the endless choices.

After a moment, he shouted for the wheel to stop, and the pointer suddenly landed on a segment, making his eyes widen.

It read, Superman: Man of Steel (Early Stage).

"Damn! Superman's steel body!" Luo Chen exclaimed, immediately overjoyed. He couldn't believe his luck.

He hadn't expected that his first lottery draw would yield such a big prize.

Superman, with his steel body, had always been something Luo Chen admired. He had envied Superman's near-invincible abilities when watching the Superman films.

When it came to Superman's strength, the most powerful form was definitely Silver Superman, as seen in the comics. The movie version of Superman had far weaker abilities in comparison.

In the comics, Superman could transcend time, pull the Earth, and enter the sun without suffering harm. His flight speed easily surpassed light speed, and his arsenal of superpowers made him nearly invincible.

Aside from his vulnerability to kryptonite and his relatively low magic resistance, Superman had no weaknesses.

And since this world was set in the Marvel Universe, there was no kryptonite, meaning his only remaining weakness would be his susceptibility to magic.

But even Superman's magic resistance could be mitigated, and compared to his physical resistance, his weakness to magic was negligible.

Even the Man of Steel version of Superman, with all his incredible abilities, would be a formidable force in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"Hahahaha, I now have the ability to protect myself!" Luo Chen laughed aloud.

This week had been a stressful one for him. Living in the chaotic environment of New York, he was constantly on edge, fearing that someone might break in and cause harm at any moment.

But now, he felt a sense of relief.

At least, in the early stages of his story's timeline, he wouldn't have to worry about safety.

"Host, would you like to withdraw your reward?" the system's voice asked.

"Withdraw the reward!" Luo Chen said quickly.

The moment the words left his mouth, he felt a tremendous surge of power flood through his body, transforming it in ways he couldn't quite comprehend.

After a few moments, the transformation was complete, and he felt a rush of immense strength.

"This is the Man of Steel?" Luo Chen marveled at the power coursing through him.

He immediately tested out his new abilities. First, his superhuman strength—his strength was now approximately three times that of an ordinary person.

His speed had also increased threefold, surpassing the limits of an average human.

His hearing became extraordinarily sensitive, allowing him to pick up sounds from within the entire building and even from nearby areas. His enhanced brain could process all this information.

His vision had also been modified, enabling him to perceive colors and details that would normally be invisible to the human eye, such as dust particles floating in the air.

"The current me is probably much stronger than Captain America!" Luo Chen mused.

Most of his changes involved enhancements to basic attributes, but the full range of Superman's abilities—like flight, heat vision, and biological control—had yet to manifest.

Luo Chen now understood why the title of Superman: Man of Steel had the word "early stage" attached to it.

Although he was far stronger than an average person, he was nowhere near the limits of Superman's true potential. His speed, strength, and endurance were still far from reaching the maximum potential of Superman's Kryptonian heritage.

This was truly just the beginning.

It felt like winning the lottery, but with a catch—he'd won, but his reward had been slightly discounted, with less left after the taxes.

To obtain more advanced abilities, he would need to continue testing his luck. But at least the system had transformed his body, giving him true Kryptonian blood and unlimited potential.

Even if he didn't win another lottery, by spending more time in the sun, his powers would continue to grow, enhancing his strength.

It was like receiving an entry ticket to become a true superhero in this world.

Overall, Luo Chen was very satisfied!
