chapter 7 He Just Pity You

Olivia's POV

My alarm woke me up and I had time to prepare myself. I slowly went out of my room, careful not to wake him up. He'll be late.

I smirk. I see Abby cooking.

"I'm leaving. Watching Kelvin play today" I tell her and she nods and wiggles her eyebrows at me, I just jokingly rolled my eyes.

I was waiting for a ride, when a car came up to me.

"Come on" he says

"Shouldn't you be at the game now?" I ask while sitting in his car

Then he drove off immediately.

"I'll head at the back. Go with me? Or find a seat?" he asks as he park his car

"I'll go find a seat. Goodluck Kelvin!" I say and he smiles "I'll try my best. But If we win today, would you go out on a date with me?"

I gasped and I froze in my spot.

"Olivia?" he asks again

I came back to my senses. "Yeah, sure" I say shyly

"Great, bye" he says and waves at me and I wave back

While I look at his disappearing figure, I smile at myself like an idiot.

"Well, well, look who's going out on a date?"

I turn around to see Marcus. Smirking at me. Why did he wake up early? I whine at myself

I turn away and ignore him but he kept pestering me.

"Olivia, is going on a date. Hey talk to me, is this your first?" he asks but I ignore him yet again, entering the sitting area and finding a good place to watch the game.

"Do you need help? I think this is your first. Let me help you practice" he says again but still I choose to ignore him until the games starts

He kept quiet, when it started. I started cheering on our school's team and not long they won. I spot Kelvin and our eyes met. He winks at me and I wave at him.

Olivia: You did great. I guess I owe you a date

I sent a message. They were busy, so I thought he wouldn't go and find his phone. So, I didn't wait for him to reply. "So, first date" Marcus starts to tease again

"Marcus will you please shut up?" I snap at him and he raises his two hands in defeat but still he didn't stop

I glared at him and just didn't answer. Of course I want it to be perfect but I didn't want his help. He'll just ruin it.

Then he grabs my chin and his face was inches from mine. Before he could even do anything, I slapped him. He scoffed. Then looks at me with anger in his eyes.

"How dare you slap me. You think you're so pretty? With Kelvin running around following you? Well guess what sweetheart, he doesn't want you. He just think you're a challenge, not like any girl around" he says and I can feel my tear falling down my cheek

He chuckled "What? You think crying would make him fall for you? Dream on, he just pity you"

I slap him again and ran away, wiping my tears angrily. I hear someone says and I can feel my tear falling down my cheek

I ran like crazy, until I reach the house.

"Hey you're early, where-----" Abby says but she didn't get to finish it. I ran upstairs to my room

I dropped myself on my bed and curled myself up, and just kept crying I didn't want anyone to pity me. If what he said is true then I'd rather have no one by my side. Than having a fake one. I manage to go through everything on my own, and I can do it again.

Not long after, I fell asleep.

Morning came and my phone kept vibrating. I pick it up and look who it was. Kelvin.

I reject his call. I check the messages he sent.

Kelvin: Hey, about the date, tomorrow, right?

Kelvin: Why aren't you responding? Are you asleep? Kelvin: I think you are. Well, Goodnight. See you tomorrow

That was last night. And the next was today.

Kelvin: Marcus just told me what happened, but he didn't tell me anything about what he said, he just said sorry and said he ruined it. What was it? Kelvin: Are you mad at me? I'm sorry if I have done something wrong. Can we talk?

Then 10 missed calls.

"I don't need anyone. I can do everything on my own" I tell myself, throw my phone away and close my eyes again.

I sighed "I guess, I have to change my number. A lot of work" I groaned

Then a sudden knock on my door stopped me.

"Who is it?" I ask

"Abby. You didn't eat yet sweetie." She says behind the door

"I'm not yet hungry. I'll go down a bit" I shout

"Okay, hurry up" She said and heard her footsteps slowly fading away

I don't really want to eat. Facing Marcus again. I think, I want to quit. I don't want stay here anymore, but I owe the Anderson's my whole life. I guess I'll have to bear with him a little longer. Then another knock came.

"Abby, I'll go eat later. I promise" I shout

"It's me, uhhh Marcus"

"What do you want?" I asked coldly, staring at my locked door

"Can you come here and let's talk?" he says sounding impatient

"You have said enough last night. I get it. Now, go away. I don't want to talk to you" I say

He stayed silent for a while then said "Fine' the I heard his footsteps stomping

How dare he? He has the guts to be mad at me when I should be the one who's mad at him.

I fix my stuff, because I decided to go to the library to study. After showering and changing, I went out of my room and look for Abby.

"Hey Abby, I'm leaving" I say and when I pop my head in the kitchen. Abby, Marcus and Kelvin was looking at me. I was shock at first but I composed myself.

"Okay, dear. Remember be back---" I cut her off "Yes, before 6 pm and if I'm not back yet, you'll call the police. Got it"

She nods. And I walk my way to the door when A voice stop me.

"Olivia"

"Hmmm?" I hummed in response as I put my shoes on

"Whatever he said is not true. The first time I met you was the first time I liked you. I really do" Kelvin says My heart fluttered but my mind says different.

"Okay, anything else?"

"You forgive me?"

I sighed and turn to look at him.

"I'm not mad alright. It's just maybe it's better for us to be just friends, like before, don't you think?" He sighed but instead he nods. Somehow, I liked that he respected my decision.

"We have to start something somewhere. Friends and I'll try my best to win another date with you"

"Suit yourself, Well, I'm leaving" I say and I didn't wait for his answer, instead, I walked away from the house and walk my way to the library.

I studied quietly, not even seeing and Kelvin and Marcus disturbed my thoughts. Once I was done, I check the time and it was already quarter to 6, I should really go home.

I fix my things up and went home. As soon as I got home, I step on the front door and slipped.

"Ouch!" I screamed

Then I heard someone laughing.

"Oh dear, what happened?" Abby says then she came to me "Oil" I say

She sighed "Young man, clean this up!" She scolded Marcus

"What? No way, she'll clean this up. She's the one who used it anyway" he said laughing

I didn't forgive him for his words yet and now, he does this. He's really trouble alright. I ignored him, if I did get angry, I'm sure, that's what he wants

I smiled despite the pain I was feeling. "its fine, I'm cleaning this up now" I tell Abby

He scoffed and left. See? When someone do shit on you, ignore them, that's the best revenge.

"I'm really sorry about this" Abby says helping me to stand up

"It's fine. Don't be sorry. I'll clean this up, clean myself up and help you in the kitchen for dinner. Sounds good?"

"Sure. Thank you dear" she says and hands me to clean the mess up and leave be me.

After cleaning up. I went to my room. I slipped out of my clothes and shower. I was about to change when I came up to my closet, my clothes were all gone.

"What the----"

"Looking for you clothes?"

I turn to look at Marcus.

"What did you do this time?" I said with gritted teeth

"I noticed your clothes were dirty so I put them all in laundry, and Hang them outside, I think they are still wet" he says clothes?"

I got down and helped Abby.

"Since when do you fancy oversized shirt?" She asked "For emergency. My clothes are all wet apparently" I say

"Marcus again, no?" she said and I just nod

"That troublesome kid, when will he ever learn?" Abby says

"Beats me. I'm just going to be here for only 2 months and 3 weeks. I can do this" I say
