Seong-Jin wasn't supposed to survive.
Dan-Bi knew it the moment he stepped into the court the next day.
The ministers looked too calm.
Too confident.
Dan-Bi stood behind the prince, his presence as sharp as a blade.
The Minister of Defense stepped forward, voice steady. "Your Highness, we must increase your security immediately. Another attack may occur."
Seong-Jin raised an eyebrow. "A noble thought, Minister. However, I am more interested in how these assassins entered the palace undetected."
A flicker of discomfort passed through the minister's face.
Seong-Jin leaned forward. "Unless, of course… someone let them in."
Silence.
Dan-Bi didn't blink.
This wasn't an interrogation.
It was a warning.
The ministers were powerful. But so was Seong-Jin.
And now—they were at war.
