Walking out of the Department of Driver's licensing agency, Gigi stopped right outside.
"Wow. I didn't know being rich meant… getting my driver's license without hassle!" Gigi was in awe as she held the card between her fingers. All she had to do was state her name, and they gave it to her immediately. It didn't make sense, but it made her happy.
She beamed, her eyes glittering as she turned to Bubbles.
Bubbles smiled, blushing. "Miss, that's because you're amazing. I knew it! You're a genius. Never doubted you one bit! This is your first time driving a car, but you did it without a problem."
Gigi laughed out loud, amused by how she sounded. No matter what, whether she tried or not, her laughter sounded evil. "The perks of being the antagonist, I guess."
"Maybe I am a genius, indeed," she joked as she tucked her driver's license in her purse. "Now… where are we going next?"
"Miss, there are a few spots you like. How about we go there? It might help with your memory loss," Bubbles suggested.
Gigi blinked slowly at Bubbles. 'I'm still surprised she's buying that memory loss story.'
Either Bubbles was incredibly gullible, or she just hopelessly believed in Gigi without a shred of doubt. Either way, it didn't matter.
"Let's go there," Gigi said, ready to drive around with the assurance she wouldn't get stopped for driving illegally. Safety first!
"Okay." Bubbles smacked her lips and diligently followed Gigi, back to the car to help her with directions.

"Say, Bubbles…" Gigi trailed off, eyes focused on the road. "What kind of person am I?"
Bubbles innocently blinked. "Miss, you're the prettiest, kindest, and smartest of all!"
Gigi's face twitched, thinking Bubbles might not be the best person to ask for the truth. But then again, she had asked others — even her nanny, who helped raise her — last night. Nothing critical came up.
All of them had only good things to say about her, but Gigi knew that wasn't the whole truth. Or rather, it was their truth, not the actual truth.
"I know that," she replied with slight disinterest. "What I want to know is what I normally did before the accident, who my friends were, my hobbies, favorites, and if I'm allergic to anything."
"Oh…" Bubbles' mouth formed an 'O' shape, nodding. "Well…"
She rubbed her chin as she pondered. "Miss, on normal days, you go to school."
SCREECH!
"I still go to school?" Gigi gasped, looking back at Bubbles in disbelief.
"Mhm! You're doing your second year post-grad for a master of arts," Bubbles said matter-of-factly. "It's not too busy since you only attend lectures twice a week and do research papers. Sometimes, you join school activities too."
Gigi's face twitched a little. "I don't think that's in the storyline, but go on."
"Then you go to a salon or the spa," Bubbles continued, ignoring Gigi's mumblings. "Sometimes, you party with friends. Young Miss is quite popular in school or with everyone. You also work as a part-time actress. You have an audition next week!"
"..." Listening to Bubbles' list of Gigi's normal activities left her speechless. The school part didn't sound so bad at all after hearing the rest. After all, back in her world, she could almost say she had forgotten everything she had learned in school, except the basics from the Police Academy.
Mostly, she had just survived through experience.
"Ah!" Bubbles then clapped, as if she remembered something. "Rejecting your admirers is also part of your weekly routine. I'd say it's a hobby!"
"..." Gigi pressed her lips into a thin line, staring at the pride in Bubbles' face after that last remark. "It's just as bad as the others, huh?"
"Miss, how can you say that? It's not that bad!" Bubbles frowned. "What's bad is your allergy to peanuts and certain types of beverages. Also, you can't swim. So, stay away from them because you will have a horrible reaction. You almost died the last time you accidentally had them."
"I can't swim?"
"Uh-huh. That's why you drowned."
"Right." Gigi nodded, not surprised she couldn't swim. Even back in her world, that was one of her weaknesses. She was like a dead weight in water.
She wondered why she had even jumped off that cliff, thinking it could save her.
"I see…" Gigi nodded in understanding, flashing her a wide smile. "Go on. Tell me everything you can think of while I drive."
With that, she resumed driving while Bubbles talked nonstop. Most of the time, Bubbles praised her, boosting her already towering confidence. Occasionally, though, she mentioned important things that Gigi hadn't realized yet.
But as they traveled on a busy road, Gigi noticed a confused elderly person on the side of the road. She slowed down, seeing the elderly person trying to cross, but with cars speeding, it was dangerous.
'The traffic here reminds me of home,' she thought, pulling over slowly.
"Miss, we're not there yet," Bubbles said, surprised. "We still have to — Miss?"
Deep lines formed on Bubbles's forehead as she watched Gigi step out of the driver's seat. She followed Gigi's figure, seeing her approach the elderly woman. Bubbles promptly jumped out of the car to follow.
"Hello," Gigi smiled at the elderly woman. "Do you need help crossing the road?"
The elderly woman gazed up at the young lady, blinking weakly. Gigi pressed her lips together, having a soft spot for the elderly because she was raised by her grandparents.
Seeing the elderly woman with a few bags, Gigi raised her eyebrows.
"Let me help you—" Before she could reach for the old woman's bag, the elderly woman held her arm. "Huh?"
"It's you…" the elderly woman's voice shook, teary-eyed. "My granddaughter!"
"Huh?!"
"I've been looking for you for so long! My granddaughter!" Much to Gigi and Bubbles' surprise, the old woman suddenly pulled Gigi into her embrace, crying.
"..." Confused, Gigi awkwardly patted the old woman's back before looking back at Bubbles. "This is a scam, isn't it?"
Bubbles pursed her lips and nodded. "I think it is."
